Implementation Of The Advanced Encryption Standard-128 Algorithm And Huffman Compression To Protect Student Grade Data

Abstract: Student grade data is personal data that must be protected under Indonesian Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, yet the rising number of data breaches in the education sector shows that such protection has… not been optimally implemented. This study implements the 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm combined with Huffman compression to protect the confidentiality and integrity of student grade files in Excel (.xlsx) format, and evaluates its effectiveness through functional, performance, and security testing. The system was developed as a Python desktop application with a CustomTkinter interface, in which the encryption process runs Huffman compression before AES-128, while integrity verification uses SHA-256 hashing. Testing was conducted on seven student grade files from MA Ma'ahid Kudus. The results show that all files were successfully encrypted and decrypted without failure or data alteration, with encryption times of 0.0142-0.0828 seconds and decryption times of 0.0046-0.1417 seconds. The SHA-256 hash values of the original and decrypted files were identical for all samples, yielding 100% recovery accuracy, while the file size increase from padding and header insertion ranged only from 1,092 to 1,101 bytes. The study concludes that the combination of AES-128 and Huffman compression is an effective and efficient solution for protecting student grade data in educational institutions.

Menelusuri Rahasia Dibalik Dunia Siber dalam Novel Fake Semu Karya Ele Fountain

The problem raised is about the… e cyber world in the novel. The novel Fake Semu by Ele Fountain is a novel with a theme about the cyber world. This novel explains the plot where technology becomes the only friend in the world. In this novel, Ele tells the story of a world where all needs for food, health, access to digital transactions are fully controlled by technology. Because of this, Ele began to tell about someone who was curious about the digital world and used various forbidden skills in the cyber world to get all the answers to his questions. The method used uses a hermeneutic approach. The findings obtained in the novel are 1) Database, 2) Hacking, 3) Encryption, 4) Spyware, 5) Cypher, and 6) Cyber Minder.

AI-DRIVEN HYBRID ENCRYPTION FOR SECURE ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS

Abstract: Abstract: In the era of sensitive health data and frequent cyberattacks, securing electronic medical records (EMR) has become a critical challenge. This study proposes a hybrid encryption framework combining Affine and AES… ES algorithms with an AI-based key management module to enhance EMR security while maintaining efficiency. A dataset of 1,000 simulated records was evaluated using five cryptographic configurations: Affine-only, AES-only, RSA-only, Affine–AES, and Affine–AES with AI. Performance was measured through encryption/decryption latency and ciphertext size, while security was assessed under brute-force, SQL injection, and phishing simulations. The AI decision tree for key generation was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and entropy metrics. Results show that the AI-enhanced hybrid method eliminates brute-force success, introduces only minor latency overhead, and generates high-entropy keys with reliability above 98%. These findings indicate that integrating AI-based dynamic key regeneration into hybrid encryption can improve EMR security while remaining practical for clinical and cloud-based healthcare systems. Future work should involve real clinical datasets and explore post-quantum cryptographic extensions.             Keywords: AI key management; attack resistance; encryption performance; electronic medical records; hybrid encryption     Abstrak: Di era meningkatnya sensitivitas data kesehatan dan maraknya serangan siber, perlindungan Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME) menjadi tantangan penting. Penelitian ini mengusulkan kerangka enkripsi hibrida yang menggabungkan algoritma Affine dan AES dengan modul manajemen kunci berbasis AI untuk meningkatkan keamanan RME tanpa mengorbankan efisiensi. Dataset simulasi berisi 1.000 entri diuji menggunakan lima konfigurasi kriptografi: Affine-only, AES-only, RSA-only, Affine–AES, serta Affine–AES dengan AI. Performa diukur melalui latensi enkripsi/dekripsi dan ukuran ciphertext, sedangkan keamanan dievaluasi melalui simulasi serangan brute force, SQL injection, dan phishing. Model decision tree untuk manajemen kunci dinilai menggunakan metrik akurasi, presisi, recall, F1-score, dan entropi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa metode hibrida dengan AI menghilangkan keberhasilan brute force, menambah overhead latensi yang minimal, serta menghasilkan kunci berentropi tinggi dengan reliabilitas di atas 98%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa regenerasi kunci dinamis berbasis AI dalam skema enkripsi hibrida dapat meningkatkan keamanan RME sekaligus tetap praktis untuk sistem klinis dan layanan kesehatan berbasis cloud. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan menggunakan dataset klinis nyata dan mengeksplorasi kriptografi pascakuantum.   Kata kunci: enkripsi hibrida; ketahanan serangan; kinerja enkripsi; manajemen kunci berbasis AI; rekam medis elektronik

E-LEARNING DALAM PENGEMBANGAN PEMBELAJARAN KRIPTOGRAFI

Abstract: Abstract: Cryptography is an important subject to study because it contains data security. In this course, there are algorithms where each algorithm has a different level of calculation process from one another. Testing… has been done several times in the form of training on students and some of them still make mistakes in getting the results of the encryption and decryption process. These errors are caused by a lack of understanding of algorithms and calculations in cryptography. In cryptography, the accuracy of the calculation results is a top priority, because if one does the calculation which is called the encryption and decryption process it will result in an incorrect message/information. To anticipate these errors, this cryptography learning is assisted by a tool called crypTool. This tool is a companion in carrying out the encryption and decryption process to avoid errors in the calculation process.             Keywords: Cryptography; E-Learning     Abstrak: Kriptografi merupakan salah satu matakuliah yang penting untuk dipelajari, karena didalamnya memuat materi pengamanan data. Dalam matakuliah tersebut terdapat algoritma- algoritma dimana setiap algortima memiliki tingkat proses perhitungan yang berbeda satu dengan yang lainnya. Telah dilakukan beberapa kali pengujian dalam bentuk latihan terhadap mahasiswa dan dari sebagian dari mereka masih melakukan kesalahan dalam mendapatkan hasil proses enkripsi dan dekripsi. Kesalahan tersebut diakibatkan oleh kuranganya memahami algoritma dan perhitungan dalam kriptografi. Dalam kriptografi keakuratan hasil perhitungan menjadi prioritas utama, karena apabila salah dalam melakukan perhitungan yang disebut dengan proses enkripsi dan dekripsi maka akan menghasilkan sebuah pesan/informasi yang salah. Guna mengantisipasi kesalahan tersebut maka pembelajaran kriptografi ini dibantu dengan sebuah tools yang bernama cryptool. Tool ini bersifat pendamping dalam melakukan proses enkripsi dan dekripsi dengan maksud menghindari kesalahan didalam melakukan proses perhitungannya.   Kata kunci: E-Learning; Kriptografi

ANALISIS PERFORMA KRIPTOGRAFI HYBRID ALGORITMA BLOWFISH DAN ALGORITMA RSA

Abstract: Abstract:Computer data security relies on preventing data theft from irresponsible parties by using cryptography method. Some cryptography algorithms have good and poor performance in encrypting and decrypting data depending… ding on the key types. Therefore the purpose of this research is to measure the performance of the hybrid algorithm, consisting a symmetric keyBlowfish algorithm and an asymmetric key RSA algorithm, in encrypting and decrypting multiple types of data such as documents, photos, audios, and videos. The result is the performance of the hybrid algorithm is almost on par with Blowfish and provides a more secure data encryption and decryption by taking advantage of RSA algorithm. The average encryption performance of hybrid algorithm is 0.85s on document, 1.06s on photo, 3.38s on audio, and 15.56s on video. While the average decryption performance of hybrid algorithm is 1.01s on document, 1.38s on photo, 4.3s on audio, and 27.56s on video.             Keywords:Hybrid cryptography, Data security, Performance, Blowfish, RSA     Abstrak:Keamanan data komputer berhubungan dengan pencegahan dari pencurian data oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab, salah satu cara pengamanan data komputer yaitu dengan teknik kriptografi. Beberapa metode kriptografi memiliki performa yang baik dan buruk tergantung dengan tipe kuncinya. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengukur tingkat kecepatan kriptografi hybrid, terdiri dari algoritma simetris Blowfish dan algoritma asimetris RSA, dengan beberapa tipe data seperti dokumen, foto, audio dan video. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah algoritma hybrid memiliki performa yang tidak jauh berbeda dari algoritma Blowfish dan membuat proses enkripsi dan dekripsi data lebih aman dengan keunggulan dari algoritma RSA. Rata-rata kecepatan enkripsi algoritma hybrid untuk dokumen 0,85 detik, gambar 1,06 detik, audio 3,38 detik, dan video 15,56 detik. Sedangkan rata-rata kecepatan dekripsi algoritma hybrid untuk dokumen 1,01 detik, gambar 1,38 detik, audio 4,3 detik, dan video 27,56 detik.   Kata kunci:Kriptografihybrid, Keamanan data, Performa, Blowfish, RSA

Libraries face various challenges in protecting personal data on their electronic resources. This research addresses topics such as user privacy, data encryption, access management, and compliance with privacy laws. By addressing these issues comprehensively, libraries can ensure the protection of user privacy while optimizing the benefits of digital resources in today's information environment. The October 2023 cyberattack by a hacker group known as Rhysida on the British Library's internet information system emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity and data privacy for digital libraries. This research aims to provide insights and solutions to address these challenges, ensuring digital libraries can operate securely and efficiently.
