The results of the study indicate that the main factors influencing students' limited speaking and listening skills include lack of practice, minimal use of interesting learning media, and internal factors such as lack of self-confidence and less than optimal pronunciation. These findings provide an important overview of the need to develop more effective and innovative learning strategies to improve students' communication skills in English at the elementary level. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for educators and educational institutions in improving the quality of English teaching in elementary schools.

s, and documentation, this study identified three main problems that hinder the success of group learning: gender differences affecting group formation, difficulty ensuring the active participation of each member, and relatively long time for group management. The results of the study indicate that these problems cause group learning to be less effective and have an impact on the decline in students' English skills. Therefore, strategies such as forming inclusive groups, clear division of tasks, the use of participatory observation instruments, the utilization of technology, and the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning approach are recommended to improve the effectiveness of group learning and students' English skills. This study provides an important contribution to developing English teaching methods at the elementary school level by considering social aspects and more effective classroom management.

The type of research used by researchers in developing teaching materials based on picture stories is research and development, development refers to the ADDIE model consisting of analysis design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were class IIA and IIB students of Public Elementary School 95 Palembang with a total of 36 students. The data collection techniques used in the study were questionnaires and documentation, based on the results of expert validator research from the three fields, namely media, material, and language where the validator in In this development, there are 2 validators covering the three fields, so the validator percentage results from the two experts are 3.80 which are categorized as "valid". Then the teacher's response practicality test obtained a percentage result of 87.49%, categorized as "very practical", then the one to one trial obtained a percentage value of 87.49% categorized as very practical, then the small group trial obtained a percentage value of 79.27 %. And the last test of the potential effect test obtained a percentage value of 90.00% which was categorized as very effective.

Oleh karena itu, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dasar, motivasi belajar, dan kepercayaan diri anak-anak Sekolah Minggu di Stasi Santo Petrus Tampo, Kabupaten Tana Toraja, melalui program pengajaran English Conversation. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan, yaitu dari Maret hingga Mei 2026, dengan melibatkan anak-anak usia sekolah dasar sebagai peserta. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan komunikatif (Communicative Language Teaching) yang diterapkan melalui praktik percakapan, permainan bahasa, tanya jawab, dan aktivitas interaktif berbasis topik kehidupan sehari-hari. Program dilaksanakan dalam 21 pertemuan dengan materi yang mencakup aktivitas harian, keluarga, sekolah, hewan, profesi, transportasi, cuaca, dan topik lain yang dekat dengan pengalaman peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menggunakan kosakata dan ungkapan sederhana dalam percakapan Bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar, partisipasi aktif selama pembelajaran, serta kepercayaan diri dalam menggunakan Bahasa Inggris untuk berkomunikasi. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti ketidakkonsistenan kehadiran peserta dan faktor cuaca, kegiatan dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan komunikatif efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris bagi anak-anak di lingkungan nonformal dan dapat menjadi salah satu bentuk kontribusi perguruan tinggi dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan masyarakat.

This community service activity aims to improve the competence of early childhood education teachers in implementing interactive Islamic storytelling based on multimedia to optimize children's language development in Kutawaluya District. The method used was a participatory approach through the stages of needs assessment, workshops, media creation practice, classroom implementation assistance, and evaluative reflection with the teacher community. The results of the activity showed an increase in teacher capacity in designing and using digital media pedagogically, changes in learning interaction patterns to be more dialogic, and increased verbal participation of children in storytelling activities. In addition, a community of teacher practice was formed that collaboratively developed Islamic storytelling media as a sustainable innovation. The implications of this activity confirm that the integration of technology, Islamic values, and a participatory approach effectively encourages the transformation of early childhood learning practices. This model has the potential to be replicated in similar contexts to strengthen the quality of adaptive and character-building early childhood education.

The purpose of the community service conducted by the KKM 41group students of Universitas Bina Bangsa, is to convey the knowledge they have acquired at the campus. The method used in this service is to educate elementary school students about affixes to improve their Indonesian language skills. This creates a gap between the need for speaking skills and the teaching methods used, reinforcing students' fear and lack of confidence. Based on these issues, this Community Service activity aims to improve students' speaking skills through the application of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method integrated with the Playful English approach, which involves enjoyable learning through games, role-play, and creative activities. The methods used include guided speaking exercises, conversation simulations, and collaborative projects such as creating promotional posters for beach tourism in English. The results show a significant improvement in students' fluency, confidence, and active participation. Students began to speak more boldly, practice simple sentences, and express ideas spontaneously. The classroom atmosphere became livelier and more enjoyable with minimal psychological barriers such as fear of making mistakes. The implications of this activity are that the CLT approach combined with elements of joy can serve as an effective learning model in non-formal institutions. This method not only enhances language skills but also empowers students socially and emotionally, and can be replicated in similar communities.
