Abstract:The advancement of digital communication has generated a range of ethical challenges, including cyberbullying, insults, negative labeling, the dissemination of unverified information, privacy violations, digital ghibah (backbiting),…
backbiting), polarization, and discrimination. These challenges call for an ethical framework that is not merely technical in nature but is also firmly grounded in Islamic values. This study aims to reconstruct a Qur’an-based digital communication ethics framework through a thematic analysis of Qur’anic interpretation of QS. Al-Hujurat verses 11–13 and to examine its relevance to strengthening character education. This qualitative study employs a library research approach using thematic Qur’anic interpretation, content analysis, and contextual analysis of the Qur’an, classical and contemporary exegetical works, as well as scholarly literature on digital communication and character education. The findings reveal that QS. Al-Hujurat verses 11–13 embody eight ethical principles that can be reconstructed within the context of digital communication: Dignity Protection, Respectful Communication, No Negative Labeling, Critical Verification, Privacy Protection, Responsible Speech, Inclusive Interaction, and Digital Equality. These eight principles are synthesized into the Qur’anic Digital Communication Ethics Framework (QDCEF), which comprises three overarching dimensions: Dignity, Responsibility, and Inclusion. The framework is further mapped onto the character values of respect, empathy, civility, tolerance, critical thinking, objectivity, trustworthiness, responsibility, integrity, justice, and self-control. These findings affirm that QS. Al-Hujurat verses 11–13 are relevant not only as a source of moral and character education but also as a conceptual foundation for reconstructing a digital communication ethics framework that bridges Qur’anic values with the demands of character education in the digital era. The proposed QDCEF thus offers a value-based conceptual framework for fostering ethical, responsible, inclusive, and character-oriented digital communication.
Abstract:Level design is one of the key components in determining the gameplay experience in 2D platformer games. However, manual level design is time-consuming and difficult to scale. Graph theory can be used to represent the abstract…
stract structure of a level, with nodes as spatial units and edges as paths connecting those spaces. The problem is that this graph structure cannot always be directly translated into a valid and playable physical layout due to platformer constraints, such as jump height, safe distance, and gravity. This research proposes a chunk-based transformation approach, in which each graph node is represented as a fixed-size level chunk containing a platform layout, obstacles, and entry and exit points. The transformation of the graph into a physical level is carried out through the selection, arrangement, and alignment of chunks based on the graph’s topology. This study aims to design a framework for transforming an abstract graph G=(V,E) into a chunk-based 2D platformer level layout. The method used is qualitative-descriptive, involving the formulation of a graph model, rules for mapping and arranging chunks, and playability criteria. The results of the study reveal three main stages: mapping vertices to corresponding chunks, arranging chunks according to the graph’s structure, and validating reachability using an automatic path-finding agent.
Abstract:This descriptive qualitative research analyzes the effectiveness of policy implementation on handling vagrants and beggars at the Social Affairs and Community Empowerment Office of Gorontalo City. Four indicators from George…
orge C. Edward III's policy implementation theory—communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure—are employed as the analytical framework. Field data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation were systematically analyzed using the data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate that the policy implementation on handling vagrants and beggars at the Social Affairs and Community Empowerment Office of Gorontalo City has been running fairly well but has not yet been optimal. In the communication aspect, coordination among implementers has been functioning well; however, information dissemination to target groups and the general public remains suboptimal. In the resources aspect, policy implementation has been supported by human resources, authority, and facilities, yet is still constrained by limited personnel and underutilized facilities and databases. In the disposition aspect, officials demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and a professional attitude in implementing the policy; however, guidance programs have not been able to reach all vagrants and beggars on a sustainable basis. In the bureaucratic structure aspect, policy implementation has been supported by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), clear task distribution, and inter-division coordination; nevertheless, SOP implementation in the field still needs optimization to ensure services reach all target groups. Based on these findings, the Social Affairs and Community Empowerment Office of Gorontalo City needs to enhance communication and socialization to target groups, strengthen human resources and supporting facilities, optimize guidance and empowerment programs, and improve inter-agency coordination so that the policy implementation on handling vagrants and beggars can be more effective in improving social welfare.
Abstract:The Qur'an, as the primary source of Islamic teachings, contains legal verses that require in-depth interpretation for proper application, one notable example being Tafsir al-Maraghi by Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi, a contemporary…
mporary Egyptian scholar known for his moderate stance and independence from madhhab fanaticism. This study aims to reveal al-Maraghi's typology of ijtihad in interpreting legal verses, identify the legal products he produced, and examine his responses to contemporary legal issues. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach and fiqhi tafsir framework, using Tafsir al-Maraghi as the primary source alongside various ahkam tafsir and fiqh works as secondary sources, analyzed through content analysis and comparative reasoning. The findings show that al-Maraghi developed an integrative ijtihad model combining five typologies, namely bayani, tarjihi, maqashidi, istislahi, and tajdidi, with maqashid al-shari'ah orientation as the most dominant character, spanning worship, marriage, inheritance-testament, transactions, politics, and criminal law. The study concludes that this ijtihad pattern produces moderate, contextual legal interpretations relevant to the development of contemporary Islamic law in Indonesia. Further research is recommended to apply a systematic contemporary maqashid approach.
Abstract:Fashion sellers on TikTok Shop increasingly rely on live streaming marketing to engage Generation Z consumers, although how well this approach translates into repeat purchases remains underexplored, particularly the extent…
nt to which customer experience functions as a psychological link between the two. This study examines how live streaming marketing influences repurchase intention through customer experience as a mediating variable, focusing on Generation Z fashion consumers who use TikTok Shop in Makassar City. A quantitative design was applied, drawing on a purposive sample of 280 respondents, with data analyzed through SEM-PLS using SmartPLS 4. Findings reveal that live streaming marketing has a positive and significant influence on customer experience, whereas its direct effect on repurchase intention is not significant. Customer experience, in turn, positively and significantly affects repurchase intention and fully mediates the link between live streaming marketing and repurchase intention. These patterns suggest that Generation Z consumers remain skeptical of direct marketing cues and instead give greater weight to personal experience quality when deciding to repurchase. The study extends the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework to the live commerce setting and offers practical guidance for sellers to redirect marketing efforts from promotional intensity toward building immersive, personalized shopping experiences.
Abstract:Companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index 70 (JII70) provide a unique research context because they operate within an Islamic capital market framework that applies sharia screening criteria and financial requirements.…
. Despite being guided by the same sharia principles and regulatory environment, JII70 companies still show variations in financial performance. Although previous research has examined the factors that affect financial performance, empirical evidence regarding the influence of efficiency, market ratios, liquidity, and leverage still shows inconsistent results, particularly in companies that comply with sharia principles. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of efficiency, market ratio, liquidity, and leverage on the financial performance of companies listed on JII70 by using Return on Assets (ROA) as a performance indicator. This study uses a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data obtained from the annual reports of 57 non-financial companies during the period 2021–2025, resulting in 285 company-year observations. Panel data regression analysis was performed using the Fixed Effects model with Driscoll–Kraay error standard to overcome the problems of heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation. The results show that efficiency measured by Total Asset Turnover (TATO) and market ratio measured by Price-to-Book Value (PBV) have a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Meanwhile, liquidity measured by Current Ratio (CR) and leverage measured by Debt-to-Asset Ratio (DAR) have a positive but not statistically significant effect on financial performance. The findings of this study support the Signaling Theory by showing that efficiency and market ratio provide stronger signals regarding company quality and financial performance in the context of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia. These findings provide practical implications for managers in improving company performance as well as for investors in making more informed investment decisions
Abstract:Transformasi industri digital telah mengubah kebutuhan kompetensi lulusan perguruan tinggi sehingga mahasiswa tidak hanya dituntut memiliki kompetensi akademik, tetapi juga kesiapan karier (career readiness) yang sesuai…
Metode yang digunakan berupa pendampingan partisipatif melalui lima tahapan PCRF, yaitu Industry Insight, Self and Skill Mapping, Career Planning, Project and Portfolio Development, serta Career Readiness Evaluation.
Abstract:This study examines the influence of Maqashid Sharia dimensions on halal cosmetic usage intention among married Muslim women and investigates the moderating role of price affordability. A quantitative approach was employed…
ed using a survey method involving 157 married Muslim women residing in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), Indonesia. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that among the five Maqashid Sharia dimensions examined, only hifz al-mal (protection of wealth) and hifz al-nasl (protection of lineage) significantly and positively influence halal cosmetic usage intention. In contrast, hifz al-din (protection of religion), hifz al-nafs (protection of life), and hifz al-aql (protection of intellect) do not show significant effects. Price affordability demonstrates a significant direct positive effect on usage intention; however, it does not moderate the relationships between any of the Maqashid Sharia dimensions and usage intention. The model explains 65.5% of the variance in halal cosmetic usage intention (R² = 0.655) with a predictive relevance value of Q² = 0.469. These findings suggest that economic rationality and family orientation serve as the primary drivers of halal cosmetic consumption among married Muslim women, rather than individual religiosity or health awareness. This study contributes to the literature by applying the Maqashid Sharia framework to consumer behavior research and provides practical implications for halal cosmetic industry stakeholders.
Abstract:Philology has been utilized to study Islam which focusing mainly on early texts. Some debates from post-Orientalist, anthropological, and decolonial perspectives not only broaden the discourse but also introduced new challenges,…
llenges, such as separating text from practice and neglecting indigenous from outsider views. This article tries to show that these discourse and debates reveal a bigger issue where there is no clear way to examine how research methods influence our understanding of Islam. This study employs a qualitative method, conceptual approach to review relevant key words in Islamic studies and related fields, such as Orientalism, discursive tradition, lived religion, cosmopolitanism, and self-reflexity method. Instead of commenting methods as appropriate or not, the analysis looks at what each approach helps scholars notice, what it overlooks, and how it fits into larger systems of knowledge and power. Drawing on this analysis, the article introduces a self-reflexive framework with three main parts: epistemological reflexivity, positional reflexivity, and dialogical reflexivity. This framework is meant to help researchers plan and review Islamic studies projects, especially in Muslim-majority and less-explored areas, by encouraging them to consider texts, practices, and local ideas without making them too simple. The article contributes to ongoing debates by offering a new approach that moves beyond basic divisions and encourages a more open and thoughtful study of Islam.
Abstract:The purpose of this study is to examine the development of education in Indonesia from the colonial era through the reform period, analyzed within the framework of legal foundations. The method employed in this article is…
s library research, which serves to elaborate on the discussion of Indonesian education during the colonial period and the post-independence era up to the reform era, viewed from a legal perspective. The findings indicate that education in the colonial period was politically driven, primarily serving Dutch interests in exploiting Indonesia’s natural resources and economy. In contrast, during the post-independence period through the reform era, education was implemented in a structured manner and underwent several refinements, beginning with the 1947 curriculum and continuing through 1952, 1964, 1968, 1975, 1984, 1994, 2004, 2006, 2013, and culminating in the Merdeka Curriculum. In the post-independence era, education was oriented toward shaping individuals based on the principles of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
