Economic Behavior of The Kediri People in The Shadow of Doho Kediri Airport

Susilowati , Eni, Rofik, Eka Nur, M. Maghfiroh, Ana, Murdinar, Hardining Estu
Abstract: This study aims to examine the economic behavior of the community around Dhoho Airport, Kediri, which has undergone socio-economic transformation due to strategic infrastructure development. This phenomenon is evident in… Kediri Regency, East Java, especially after the start of the construction of Dhoho Airport, a national strategic project designed to be a lever for regional economic growth. The presence of the airport has changed the face of the surrounding area, which was previously agricultural land and modest settlements, into a bustling and fast-growing economic area. This change has led to a surge in new economic activities, such as the emergence of street vendors, restaurants, parking lots, local transportation businesses, and lodging. Using a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, this study explores the meanings raised by local economic actors in responding to these changes. The findings show that communities show adaptive responses through trade, lodging, and other services, with economic meanings influenced by local values such as blessing, hard work, and kinship. This study concludes that people's economic behavior is not only rational instrumental, but also full of subjective values and meanings, so that regional economic policies need to be designed in an inclusive and contextual manner

Astrid, Astrid, Iqbal, Muhammad, Zahra, Femilia, Usman, Rudy
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of accountability and transparency in local government financial reports on the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 11, specifically the indicator of access to decent… ent and affordable housing in Indonesia. The study used panel data from 31 provinces during the 2021–2024 period with a total of 124 observations. The research data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), and official local government websites related to the publication of financial reports. Data analysis was conducted using the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) method with a Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The results of the study indicate that accountability has a positive and significant effect on the achievement of SDG 11. These findings indicate that accountable regional financial management can increase the effectiveness of housing and settlement development programs. Transparency also has a positive and significant effect on the achievement of SDG 11, with a stronger effect than accountability. Openness of financial information encourages public oversight of regional budget use and increases the efficiency of development program implementation. The results of simultaneous testing indicate that accountability and transparency together have a significant effect on the achievement of the indicator of access to decent and affordable housing. The research findings support the theory of good governance, which places accountability and transparency as essential elements in improving the quality of local government governance. This study provides an empirical contribution regarding the relationship between local government financial governance and the achievement of sustainable settlement development in Indonesia.

DATA-BASED VILLAGE PLANNING EDUCATION VIA MUSDESUS FOR SETTLEMENT-ENVIRONMENT PROPOSALS IN KALIJAGA

Isnein Akbar, Abdulah Muzakkar
Abstract: Village development planning that is not grounded in data can lead to poorly targeted programs, particularly for settlement-environment issues such as solid waste, sanitation, drainage, and neighborhood space quality. This… is community service program aimed to improve residents’ literacy in data-based planning and strengthen meaningful participation in formulating settlement-environment program proposals. The activity was conducted in Kalijaga Village, Aikmel Subdistrict, East Lombok Regency, on 17 November 2025 as a special village deliberation meeting (Musyawarah Desa Khusus; Musdesus) involving 75 participants representing village stakeholders, including youth and community organizations (Karang Taruna and the Village Community Resilience Institution/Lembaga Ketahanan Masyarakat Desa; LKMD). A participatory education approach was applied through short lectures, focused discussions, and hands-on proposal drafting using simple minimum data and a standard structure (problem–location–target group–indicators–resource needs). Evaluation was descriptive using facilitator field notes and a proposal-completeness rubric. Of 49 written proposals collected (N=49), 40 (81.6%) met all minimum elements, while 9 (18.4%) were incomplete. The results indicate a shift from general complaints toward more structured proposals with clearer locations, target groups, and basic indicators. Data-based village planning education is a low-cost intervention to improve the quality of community participation outputs and enhance the readiness of proposals for subsequent village planning processes..

DEFAULT IN THE SALE AND PURCHASE AGREEMENT OF A SHOPHOUSE IN NON-CASH AND ITS CONSEQUENCES ON HEIRS

Panji Maulana, Muhammad Insa Ansari, Teuku Saiful
Abstract: In binding the sale and purchase agreement between two parties must be carried out and obeyed in accordance with Article 1338 paragraph (1) of the Civil Code states that an agreement made legally will bind the parties as… binding as the law and become law for them. The agreed agreement will give birth to obligations that must be carried out by the parties, if not carried out, there will be default due to breach of the agreed agreement. As happened between Baniyamin as the buyer and the late Muhammad Husen as the seller in the binding of the shophouse sale and purchase agreement, there was a default due to the seller not delivering the object of sale and purchase, the buyer had fully paid the price of the shophouse but did not get his rights so that the buyer was disadvantaged in the sale and purchase agreement. The results showed that the buyer made several efforts to obtain his compensation rights for defaults made by the heirs starting from family settlements, giving warning letters twice but there was still no response, and filing a default lawsuit to the Court. The heirs' responsibility for the testator's debt initially planned to pay Rp. 50,000,000. This amount is insufficient from the total loss suffered by the buyer, so that at the time of mediation in the Court the buyer gave the option to the heirs to be able to make payments in stages with a minimum of paying half of the total loss suffered, but the heirs were not able to do so.

EVALUATION OF COASTAL SAFETY STRUCTURES IN MITIGATING WAVE OVERTOPPING: A LABORATORY SIMULATION APPROACH

Aulia, Nur, Alham, Irawan, Paharuddin, Paharuddin
Abstract: This research evaluates the performance of coastal safety structures in mitigating wave runoff through laboratory-scale simulations. Pancana Beach in Barru Regency, South Sulawesi, was selected as the research site due to… o its vulnerability to wave-induced beach damage. To simulate wave conditions, a wave generator was designed using a 12-volt DC motor integrated into an acrylic wave bath. This research analyses the effectiveness of three types of coastal safety structures: reflectors, sea walls and sloping sea walls. Laboratory experiments measured the wave overflow volume for each type of structure under controlled conditions. The results showed that reflector-type structures achieved the highest efficiency in mitigating wave overtopping, with an average minimum overtopping value of 0.006 m³/ms. The findings emphasise the importance of selecting and designing appropriate coastal protection measures to minimise coastal erosion, protect coastal infrastructure and reduce risks to surrounding settlements. This study contributes valuable insights into the role of engineered structures in enhancing coastal resilience, especially for areas vulnerable to high wave energy.
