This study aims to determine the efforts made by the National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) of South Tapanuli Regency in preventing and handling drug abuse among adolescents in the South Tapanuli area. This study used a qualitative approach with field research methods. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study were employees of the BNNK of South Tapanuli, specifically the Prevention and Community Empowerment (P2M) team and the rehabilitation team. The results of the study indicate that prevention efforts are carried out through socialization, counseling, education, and collaboration with various parties in supporting the Prevention, Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) program. Meanwhile, handling efforts are carried out through assessment, counseling, rehabilitation, and post-rehabilitation monitoring for drug abusers. The obstacles faced include low awareness in some communities, the influence of social circles, stigma against former drug users, and developments in technology and social media. e dysmenorrhea pain by giving relaxation and analgesic effects with its active compounds, such as limonene and linalool. Based on the data from the World Health Organization (WHO), around 90% of women experience dysmenorrhea, and 10–15% of them suffer from severe dysmenorrhea that requires intervention. This study aims to determine the effect of lemon aromatherapy in reducing the level of dysmenorrhea pain among girls. This study was a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was all seventh and eighth-grade female students of SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Tiga, Aceh Besar, who experienced dysmenorrhea. A total of 15 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The study was conducted from May 29 to June 21, 2025. The intervention was carried out by giving lemon aromatherapy on the first to third day of menstruation, once a day intake for about 15 minutes. The pain level was assessed using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). The data were analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate pain (93.3%) before receiving the treatment, and a small proportion experienced severe pain (6.7%). After receiving lemon aromatherapy, the pain level decreased to mild pain (46.7%) and moderate pain (53.3%). The mean pain score before intervention was 3.07 and decreased to 2.53 after intervention, with a difference of 0.54. The statistical analysis obtained a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating that there was a significant effect of lemon aromatherapy on reducing dysmenorrhea pain. Thus, based on the findings, this study recommends that teenage girls use lemon aromatherapy as an alternative independent treatment to reduce menstrual pain complaints.

The research employed a quantitative design with a one-group pretest and posttest quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of 153 girls, and 20 of them were selected as the sample using a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) questionnaire from May 7th to 17th, 2025. Then, the data was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test, which obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. This result indicated there was an acupressure effect on menstrual pain. Therefore, this finding proved that the use of acupressure influenced menstrual pain among female students at SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. g has proven to be an effective approach. In group counseling, teenagers can share their experiences with others facing similar issues, creating a supportive and understanding environment. Techniques like open discussions help them identify the causes of their anxiety more effectively, while role-playing allows them to practice new ways of dealing with anxiety-inducing situations. Relaxation exercises also assist them in developing skills to manage anxiety effectively in their daily lives. Literature studies indicate that group counseling not only reduces anxiety levels in teenagers but also enhances their social skills, self-confidence, and emotional resilience. With support from family, schools, and the community, group counseling can become a sustainable strategy in promoting teenagers' mental well-being. Therefore, it is important to consider that there is no one-size-fits-all approach for all teenagers. However, group counseling provides a safe and structured platform for teenagers to learn from each other, strengthen their coping skills, and make progress in overcoming their anxiety. With this approach, it is hoped that teenagers can build a strong foundation for their ongoing mental health.
