n Sibuhuan Market, North Sumatra. Social media, through platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, allows businesses to introduce their products to a wider audience, increase brand awareness, and reach markets outside of the local area. In addition, social media provides an opportunity to interact directly with consumers, receive feedback, and build customer loyalty. Marketing through creative content, such as eye-catching photos and videos, as well as promotions through influencers or contests, also contribute to increased buying interest. By taking advantage of the e-commerce features available on social media, the purchase process becomes easier, which also drives increased sales conversions.

ongoing issues in early reading ability among students. This study aimed to describe the early reading ability of the first-grade students at SDN 014 Tarakan through diagnostic assessment in terms of five key aspects: reading letters, reading syllables, reading words, reading paragraphs, and comprehending information from reading. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this study. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings revealed that in the letter reading aspect, 34 out of 55 students were fluent, while 21 were not. In the syllable reading aspect, 27 students were fluent, and 28 were not. In the word reading aspect, 21 students read fluently, while 34 did not. In the paragraph reading aspect, 15 students read fluently, and 40 struggled. In the comprehension aspect, 16 students could understand the content, whereas 39 had difficulties with comprehension. The study also identified several challenges faced by students with reading difficulties. These included poor memorization of letter shapes, frequent errors such as changing, omitting, or misplacing letters, difficulty with long words, limited vocabulary, and lack of concentration while reading.
Abstract:The consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) among adolescents has increased and may contribute to the rising prevalence of overweight due to their high sugar and energy content. This study aimed to analyze the relationship…
lationship between the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages and the incidence of overweight among adolescents at SMP Negeri 28 Surabaya. This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 164 respondents were selected using proportional random sampling. Data on sugar-sweetened beverage consumption were collected using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), while nutritional status was assessed using Body Mass Index-for-Age (BMI-for-Age). Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between the consumption of sweetened tea (p = 0.023) and carbonated soft drinks (p = 0.000) with overweight, whereas the consumption of coffee, bubble tea, sweetened milk, isotonic drinks, syrup, and yogurt was not significantly associated with overweight (p > 0.05). It can be concluded that frequent consumption of sweetened tea and carbonated soft drinks is associated with an increased risk of overweight among adolescents. Therefore, nutrition education and limiting the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages are recommended as preventive strategies to reduce overweight among adolescents.
Abstract:This research discusses the influence of social media content on the emergence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) behavior and its connection to increasing consumerism in Generation Z. This generation grew up in a digital ecosystem…
system saturated with visualizations of ideal lifestyles disseminated through platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. Constant exposure to such content creates anxiety about missing out on seemingly important social experiences. FOMO then triggers consumptive actions, not due to functional needs, but because of symbolic impulses and social pressure to remain relevant within digital communities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews of informants aged 20–26 years. The analysis results show that content such as unboxing, product reviews, and personal lifestyles have a significant impact on creating social pressure and shaping consumption-based identity. These findings underscore the importance of digital literacy and critical awareness so that Generation Z does not get trapped in a cycle of impulsive consumption, which poses risks to both mental and financial health. As an alternative, the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO) approach is introduced to build healthier and more authentic digital relationships.
Abstract:This study examines the phenomenon of celebrity populism in the context of legislative candidacy in Indonesia, particularly during the 2024 General Election. Celebrity populism refers to a political strategy that relies…
on public popularity, personal image, and emotional proximity to gain electoral support. A qualitative approach was used to explore voter preferences, campaign strategies, the role of social media, and the challenges faced by celebrities entering the political arena. Data were collected through literature review, media documentation, and content analysis of social media platforms. The findings reveal that voters tend to support celebrity candidates not based on their political vision or programs, but due to symbolic closeness and personal appeal developed through entertainment media. Social media serves as the primary tool to construct a populist, “people-oriented” image, although often lacking substantive political content. On the other hand, limited political capacity, public skepticism, and the challenge of adapting to party structures are major obstacles faced by celebrity candidates. These findings suggest that while celebrity populism may broaden political participation, it also risks diminishing the quality of political representation. Therefore, strengthening political literacy and party-based political development is essential to safeguard the quality of democracy amid growing trends of political personalization.

Abstract:The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to Sunday School ministry and children’s faith education in the modern era. Children, as digital native generations, are increasingly connected to visual…
isual media, audiovisual content, and internet use, causing conventional learning methods to become less engaging and less effective in fostering active learner participation. This study aims to analyze Sunday School strategies in addressing the opportunities and challenges of digitalization, the utilization of digital media for children’s spiritual growth, and the roles of teachers, churches, and families in developing relevant and transformative spiritual learning. The research employed a qualitative approach with a library research design enriched through phenomenological analysis of digitalization practices in Sunday School ministry. Data were obtained through a review of literature on Christian educational theology, child pedagogy, digital literacy, and reflective observation of the use of Bible animation videos, social media, and online learning platforms. The findings indicate that the digitalization of Sunday School ministry through Bible animation videos, YouTube, Zoom, Google Meet, and Christian learning applications enhances children’s interest, participation, and understanding of God’s Word through learning experiences that are more interactive, communicative, and contextual. The challenges of digitalization are reflected in gadget-related distractions, digital dependency, reduced learning concentration, and unequal access to technology among certain families. The study concludes that the success of digital Sunday School requires the integration of technology, teacher competence, parental guidance, digital literacy, and continuous spiritual formation. The novelty of this study lies in the development of a digital Sunday School ministry model that integrates technological media, pedagogical strategies, family supervision, and children’s spiritual formation in a holistic manner, thereby ensuring that church ministry remains adaptive, inclusive, and centered on children’s faith development in the digital era.
Abstract:An inclusive education structure that prioritizes equitable access and participation without discrimination, gifted and talented children (GTC) are often overlooked by the system due to the dominance of a homogenized curriculum…
riculum not designed to address their unique needs. GTC possess complex learning profiles, characterized by high intellectual capacity, rapid knowledge acquisition, and intense interests and creativity that exceed the average. The mismatch between conventional teaching approaches and the distinctive needs of GTC in inclusive environments creates serious pedagogical challenges, notably the hindered realization of their full potential. This article aims to critically examine the effectiveness of differentiated instruction as an adaptive curriculum strategy in addressing the diverse needs of GTC within inclusive classrooms. Through a systematic literature review, the differentiation approach is analyzed within the framework of modifying content, process, and product of learning based on students' readiness, interests, and cognitive profiles. The findings indicate that the implementation of differentiation significantly enhances intrinsic motivation, active engagement, and academic achievement of GTC, while maintaining social cohesion in the classroom. Differentiated instruction also contributes to the creation of an inclusive, dynamic, and pedagogically equitable learning environment. The novelty of this study lies in the conceptual integration of differentiation principles with inclusive practices as a foundation for curriculum design that emphasizes individual excellence and appreciation of diversity. These findings offer substantive contributions to the development of a more transformative and responsive pedagogical paradigm, while also providing both theoretical and practical foundations for educators in designing curriculum interventions that empower all learners, including those with exceptional capacities.
