This condition is the reason for adding the economic value of the people's crops. Efforts are made for this purpose, namely by increasing the use of cassava through the manufacture of chips to minimize cassava that is not absorbed by the market and collectors so as to increase the economic income of the community. This method of community service begins with observations and interviews then continues with socialization to explain to farmers that cassava can be processed into a high economic value product, demonstrations by involving the community (farmers) so that they can make crispy and savory cassava chips. The results of this community service in collaboration with SMEs as partners with this activity have an impact on the emergence of new knowledge and skills and their application in utilizing and developing cassava products by adding value and usefulness.

Abstrak: Luasnya area kebun singkong masyarakat Desa Pattalasang Kecamatan Pattalasang Kabupaten Gowa mengakibatkan melimpahnya hasil panen singkong masyarakat, namun pada sisi lain hasil tersebut tidak dikelola dengan baik, masyarakat hanya menjual ke pasar tradisional dan pengumpul sementara permintaan terhadap singkong sangat terbatas, akibatnya banyak singkong yang rusak (membusuk). Kondisi ini menjadi alasan dilakukannya penambahan nilai ekonomis dari hasil panenan masyarakat. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk maksud tersebut, yaitu dengan cara menambah daya guna singkong melalui pembuatan keripik untuk meminimalisir singkong yang tidak terserap oleh pasar dan pengumpul sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi masyarakat. Metode yang dilakukan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini diawali dengan observasi dan wawancara kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sosialisasi untuk menjelaskan kepada petani bahwa singkong dapat diolah menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi, demonstrasi dengan melibatkan masyarakat agar mereka dapat membuat keripik singkong yang renyah dan gurih. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini berkolaborasi dengan UKM sebagai mitra yang dengan kegiatan ini berdampak pada munculnya pengetahuan dan ketarampilan baru serta mengaplikasikannya dalam memanfaatkan dan mengembangkan produk singkong dengan menambah nilai dan kegunaannya.

The village of Danurejo, especially in the hamlet of Japunan, is ranked fourth and fourth for people with hypertension. Lack of knowledge about hypertension management is one of the causes. This activity aims to increase public knowledge about hypertension and control the increase in blood pressure with herbal plants that are proven to reduce blood pressure, namely cucumber and celery. The results of the analysis with a comparison table, the results obtained that there are changes between before and before the administration of herbal medicines and health education. The average before the measurement of blood pressure is smaller than before the intervention, thus showing the influence of the administration of herbal medicine and health education. The implications of giving herbal medicines and health education can be used to increase the knowledge of citizens regarding hypertension management, so as to improve the quality of life of the elderly.

Abstrak: Penyakit hipertensi merupakan penyakit bersifat menetap dan pembunuh nomor satu di dunia. Hipertensi dapat menyerang hampir semua golongan masyarakat diseluruh dunia, dimana jumlah masyarakat yang mengalami hipertensi semakin bertambah dari tahun ke tahun. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menurunkan angka kejadian hipertensi diantaranya melakukan kegiatan pengukuran tekanan darah atau pemeriksaan kesehatan, penyuluhan mengenai penyakit hipertensi dan pengobatan atau penanganan untuk menurunkan tekanan darah. Desa Danurejo terutama di dusun Japunan menjadi peringkat keempat untuk penderita hipertensi. Rendahnya pengetahuan tentang manajemen hipertensi menjadi salah satu penyebabnya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit hipertensi dan mengontrol peningkatan tekanan darah dengan tanaman herbal yang sudah terbukti dapat menurunkan tekanan darah yaitu mentimun dan seledri. Hasil analisis dengan tabel perbandingan, didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat perubahan antara sebelum dan sesudah pada pemberian obat herbal dan pendidikan kesehatan. Rata-rata sesudah pengukuran tekanan darah lebih kecil dari sebelum intervensi, sehingga menunjukan adanya pengaruh dari pemberian obat herbal dan pendidikan kesehatan. Implikasi pemberian obat herbal dan pendidikan kesehatan dapat di terapkan untuk meningakatkan pengetahuan warga terkait manajemen hipertensi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia.

The low number of writers in Indonesia means that scientific publications in Indonesia are still inadequate. In 2019, Indonesia succeeded in publishing the most scientific papers when compared to other ASEAN countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. However, this figure is still insufficient, so that efforts are needed to increase the number and quality of good research writing. This activity aims to help make it happen. The target of this activity is students, both from public and private universities in Palembang City. The methods used in this PkM activity were material presentation, practical assistance, and discussion together. Based on the results of the questionnaire answers from 36 participants, the majority of participants agreed that this activity provided new knowledge and information in the topic of research writing. In addition, most of the participants also found this training interesting and made them excited to write a good research. So it can be concluded that the majority of students are not proficient in using Mendeley and Grammarly software and feel that both software can make writing their research easier.

Rendahnya jumlah penulis di Indonesia membuat publikasi ilmiah di Indonesia masih kurang mencukupi. Pada tahun 2019, Indonesia berhasil menerbitkan karya ilmiah terbanyak jika dibandingkan dengan negara ASEAN lainnya seperti Singapura, Malaysia, dan Thailand. Namun angka tersebut masih belum mencukupi, sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan jumlah dan kualitas penulisan penelitian yang baik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu mewujudkannya. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para mahasiswa, baik dari perguruan tinggi negeri maupun perguruan tinggi swasta di Kota Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PkM ini adalah Pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil jawaban kuisioner dari 36 peserta, mayoritas peserta sepakat bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan dan informasi baru dalam topik penulisan penelitian. Selain itu, sebagian besar peserta juga menganggap pelatihan ini menarik dan membuat mereka bersemangat untuk menulis penelitian dengan baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa belum mahir menggunakan software Mendeley dan Grammarly dan merasakan bahwa kedua software tersebut dapat mempermudah penulisan riset mereka.

Salah satu dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut di lakukan sosialisasi sebagai bagian deteksi dini Diabetes Mellitus dan pemanfaatan tanaman herbal Diabetes Melitus. Dengan di adakannya sosialisasi dan pemanfaatan tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) tentang Diabetes Melitus di harapkan mayarakat kedepannya dapat memperhatikan pola hidup sehat, mengurangi kejadian penyakit Diabetes Melitus di masyarakat dan dapat memanfaatkan pengobatan herbal di sekitar rumah agar masyarakat tidak ketergantungan dengan pengobatan kimia atau sintetik yang mempunyai efek samping dalam tubuh.

Rendahnya jumlah peneliti dan hasil riset menjadi dasar perlunya program untuk menggenjot minat riset bagi masyarakat. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan dengan pemanfaatan aplikasi Google Forms pada organisasi peneliti dalam membuat program Science Event (LKTI). Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan menseleksi naskah, presentase dan penjurian. Hasil kegiatan memutuskan tiga pemenang sebagai juara 1,2 dan 3 berdasarkan hasil penilaian dewan juri kepada para finalis. Peserta yang juara diberikan penghargaan berupa trophy, sertifikat, dan uang pembinaan. Kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar dengan harapan kedepan minat masyarakat untuk meneliti semakin meningkat dan karya penelitiannya semakin baik.

Oleh karena itu, penanaman nilai-nilai PHBS disekolah merupakan kebutuhan mutlak dan dapat dilakukan melalui pendekatan dengan PMR (Palang Merah Remaja) yang merupakan binaan dari PMI (Palang Merah Indonesia) setempat..Target khusus kegiatan ini akan melibatkan 30 anggota PMR Madya di wilayah Binaan PMI Kota Magelang. Kegiatan ini meliputi pemberian materi terkait teknik mencuci tangan dengan baik dan benar serta menjaga kebersihan diri, Bahaya Rokok dan Napza, HIV AIDS, serta Penggunaan Jamban Sehat. Implementasi dengan adanya simulasi untuk penerapan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat melalui bentuk kampanye dan demonstrasi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan perilaku sasaran dalam memahami serta menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dan dapat mengaplikasikan dalam upaya menjaga kesehatan lingkungan sekolah dengan menghindari perilaku-perilaku yang beresiko menimbulkan penyakit.
