Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SDN 15 Padang Genting

Abstract: Abstract: The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology offers substantial potential for providing interactive educational media, yet its implementation at the elementary education level is frequently impeded… d by educators' limited digital literacy. This situation was observed at SDN 15 Padang Genting, where English language instruction remains dominated by conventional methods with minimal utilization of adaptive digital media. Therefore, this community service program aims to enhance teachers' competencies and skills in utilizing AI technology as a medium for English language learning. The implementation adopted a Capacity Building approach comprising three structured stages: initial evaluation (pre-test), hands-on practice training, and final evaluation (post-test). The training focused on introducing text and visual generative AI, along with basic prompt engineering techniques. The results demonstrated a highly significant increase in teachers' capacity; comprehension of basic AI concepts surged from 15% to 85%, and the perceived ease of using the technology rose from 20% to 85%. Furthermore, the program successfully facilitated participants in independently producing educational media, such as interactive vocabulary flashcards and bilingual short stories. The hands-on training approach proved effective in overcoming the anxiety of non-technical teachers while accelerating their creativity in designing English learning materials that are relevant and engaging for digital-generation students. Keywords: artificial intelligence; capacity building; english language; learning media; teacher training.   Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) menawarkan potensi besar dalam penyediaan media pendidikan yang interaktif, namun implementasinya di tingkat pendidikan dasar seringkali terhambat oleh keterbatasan literasi digital pendidik. Kondisi ini ditemukan di SDN 15 Padang Genting, di mana pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris masih didominasi oleh metode konvensional dan minimnya pemanfaatan media digital adaptif. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi AI sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mengadopsi pendekatan Capacity Building yang mencakup tiga tahapan terstruktur: evaluasi awal (pre-test), pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung (hands-on practice), dan evaluasi akhir (post-test). Pelatihan difokuskan pada pengenalan AI generatif teks dan visual serta teknik rekayasa prompt dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas guru yang sangat signifikan; pemahaman konsep dasar AI melonjak dari 15% menjadi 85%, dan persepsi terhadap kemudahan penggunaan teknologi meningkat dari 20% menjadi 85%. Lebih lanjut, kegiatan ini berhasil memfasilitasi peserta untuk memproduksi luaran media pembelajaran secara mandiri, seperti flashcard vocabulary interaktif dan naskah cerita dwibahasa. Pendekatan pelatihan berbasis praktik terbukti efektif meruntuhkan kecemasan guru non-teknis, sekaligus mengakselerasi kreativitas mereka dalam merancang materi Bahasa Inggris yang relevan dan menarik bagi siswa generasi digital. Implementing Eco Print in Making Environmentally Friendly Batik by DWP Asahan Regency

Abstract: Abstract: Community service-themed events Applying Eco Print is Making Eco-Friendly Batik in the midst of the Dharma Wanita Persada (DWP) monthly routine activity of the PUPR Office of Asahan Regency. The monthly routine… meetings that have been held by DWP members so far have been limited to routine activities. There has never been the empowerment of members through skill improvement to producing products that have economic value. This prompted the head of the DWP of the PUPR Service to decide to make activities that have more economic value in order to improve the welfare of DWP members. This activity lasts for one day using the community education method through lectures, discussions questions, and answers as well as the practice of making eco prints. Attended by as many as 25 participants Dharma Wanita and the STMIK Royal Lecturer Team. The purpose of this activity is to provide new knowledge and insights to participants on how to use simple materials that are environmentally friendly around us which can be used as creative endeavors during the pandemic. The implementation of the activity is divided into two sessions; The first is an exposure session about the meaning and benefits of eco print, the materials and tools used, and the techniques/methods for making eco prints. The second session is practice. Of the two methods of making eco prints, the steam/steam method was chosen to be practiced directly by the women of the DWP of the PUPR Office of Asahan Regency. This activity went well and got a good response from the participants, this can be seen from the activeness of the participants during the activity. The result is an increase in participants' knowledge and skills.    Keywords: eco print; pounding; steaming Abstrak: Ditengah kegiatan rutin bulanan Darmawanita Persada (DWP) Dinas PUPR kabupaten Asahan yang telah dilakukan anggota DWP selama ini hanya terbatas pada kegiatan yang bersifat rutinitas biasa dan pengajian. Belum pernah dilakukan pemberdayaan anggota melalui peningkatan ketrampilan untuk menghasilkan produk yang bernilai ekonomis. Hal ini yang mendorong ketua DWP Dinas PUPR memutuskan untuk membuat kegiatan yang lebih bernilai ekonomis guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggota DWP. Metode dalam kegiatan ini yaitu pendidikan masyarakat melalui kegiatan ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab serta praktek pembuatan eco print. peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalahan ibu-ibu darmawanita yang dihadiri sebanyak 25 orang dan Tim dosen STMIK Royal. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini  memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan baru kepada peserta bagaimana memanfaatkan bahan-bahan yang sederhana ramah lingkungan disekitar kita yang bisa dijadikan sebagai usaha kreatif dimasa pandemi. Pelaksanaan kegaiatan terbagi dalam dua sesi; pertama sesi paparan tentang pengertian, dan manfaat dari eco print, bahan dan alat yang digunakan serta tehnik/metode pembuatan eco print. Sesi kedua adalah praktek pembuatan eco print. Kegiatan ini berjalan baik dan mendapatkan respon yang baik dari peserta, hal ini dilihat dari keaktifan peserta selama berlangsungnya kegiatan. IMPLEMENTATION OF A PYTHON-BASED SCHEDULED AUDIO ALARM SYSTEM FOR LIBRARY LITERACY SUPPORT

In practice, greetings are commonly delivered manually or through conventional bells, leading to inconsistency and dependence on staff availability. This study was conducted at the Amir Machmud Library, Ministry of Home Affairs, Jakarta, Indonesia, aiming to design and evaluate a Python-based scheduled audio alarm system for automated literacy greetings. An applied experimental method was employed, including system design, Python script development, scheduling configuration using Windows Task Scheduler, and direct system testing on a library computer connected to ceiling speakers. The system requires initial execution via Command Prompt (CMD) when the computer is powered on, after which it operates automatically according to predefined schedules. Testing results demonstrate that the system performs scheduled audio playback accurately and operates stably without further manual intervention. The findings indicate that the proposed system provides a practical and efficient solution to enhance service consistency and support a structured and conducive literacy environment in the library.             Keywords: scheduled audio alarm; library automation; python; literacy greeting.     Abstrak: Perpustakaan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pusat informasi, tetapi juga sebagai ruang literasi yang memerlukan suasana layanan yang tertib dan komunikatif. Salah satu bentuk dukungan layanan tersebut adalah penyampaian sapaan literasi kepada pengunjung. Dalam praktiknya, penyampaian sapaan masih dilakukan secara manual atau menggunakan bel konvensional sehingga kurang konsisten dan bergantung pada petugas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Perpustakaan Amir Machmud, Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Jakarta, Indonesia, dengan tujuan merancang dan menguji sistem alarm audio terjadwal berbasis Python sebagai media penyampaian sapaan literasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental terapan melalui tahapan perancangan sistem, pengembangan skrip Python, konfigurasi penjadwalan menggunakan Windows Task Scheduler, serta pengujian langsung pada komputer perpustakaan yang terhubung dengan speaker plafon. Sistem bekerja dengan mekanisme inisialisasi awal melalui Command Prompt (CMD) saat komputer dinyalakan, kemudian selanjutnya berjalan otomatis sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memutar audio secara konsisten dan stabil pada waktu yang telah diatur tanpa intervensi lanjutan dari petugas. Dengan demikian, sistem ini dapat menjadi solusi sederhana dan efisien untuk mendukung terciptanya suasana literasi yang lebih terstruktur dan kondusif di lingkungan perpustakaan.   Kata kunci: alarm audio terjadwal; otomasi perpustakaan; python; sapaan literasi.

OPTIMIZING RETRIEVAL-AUGMENTED GENERATION FOR DOMAIN-SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMS THROUGH FINE-TUNING AND PROMPT ENGINEERING

Abstract: Abstract: This study discusses the optimization of RAG for a FAQ system in the field of information technology product security certification at BSSN. Although LLM generate reliable responses, they often lack up-to-date… and domain-specific knowledge, which can be addressed through the RAG approach. This research aims to optimize a domain-specific RAG system by improving embedding performance, enhancing prompt robustness, and increasing retrieval accuracy. The research methods consist of three stages. The first stage involves fine-tuning the bge-m3 embedding model and evaluating its performance using MRR, Recall, and AUC. The second stage applies prompt engineering techniques, namely the SRSM and Autodefense, to mitigate direct-injection and escape-character prompt injection attacks. The third stage evaluates the proposed RAG system using Precision, Recall, and F1-Score metrics against four baseline models. The results of research show that the fine-tuned embedding model achieves higher performance than the original model, with MRR@1 and Recall@1 values of 0.80 and an AUC@100 of 0.7023. In addition, the proposed prompt engineering techniques demonstrate robustness against prompt injection attacks, while the overall RAG system attains a perfect Precision, Recall, and F1-Score of 1.00. In conclusion, the proposed approach effectively enhances retrieval accuracy, embedding quality, and system security, resulting in a more reliable RAG-based FAQ system for information technology product security certification. Meskipun LLM menghasilkan respons yang andal, mereka seringkali kurang memiliki pengetahuan terkini dan spesifik domain, yang dapat diatasi melalui pendekatan RAG. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan sistem RAG spesifik domain dengan meningkatkan kinerja embedding, meningkatkan ketahanan prompt dan meningkatkan akurasi pengambilan. Metode penelitian terdiri dari tiga tahap. Tahap pertama melibatkan fine-tuning model embedding bge-m3 dan mengevaluasi kinerjanya menggunakan Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR), Recall, dan AUC. Tahap kedua menerapkan teknik rekayasa prompt, yaitu Self- SRSM dan Autodefense, untuk mengurangi serangan direct-injection dan escape-character prompt injection. Tahap ketiga mengevaluasi sistem RAG yang diusulkan menggunakan metrik Presisi, Recall, dan F1-Score terhadap empat model dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model embedding yang disempurnakan mencapai kinerja yang lebih tinggi daripada model asli, dengan nilai MRR@1 dan Recall@1 sebesar 0,80 dan AUC@100 sebesar 0,7023. Selain itu, teknik rekayasa prompt yang diusulkan menunjukkan ketahanan terhadap serangan injeksi prompt, sementara sistem RAG secara keseluruhan mencapai Presisi, Recall, dan F1-Score sempurna sebesar 1,00. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan yang diusulkan secara efektif meningkatkan akurasi pengambilan, kualitas embedding dan keamanan sistem, menghasilkan sistem FAQ berbasis RAG yang lebih andal untuk sertifikasi keamanan produk teknologi informasi. USE OF TASK-CENTERED SYSTEM DESIGN IN THE INTERFACE DESIGN OF THE POPULATION DEMOGRAPHIC DATA INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract: Abstract: The rapid development of information and communication technology has prompted the government to provide digital-based services, including in the management of demographic data. This study aims to apply the Task-Centered… k-Centered System Design (TCSD) method in designing the Muara Enim Regency Demographic Data Information System. The TCSD method was chosen to ensure that the prototype design process was systematic and focused on user needs and tasks. The research stages included identification, user-centered needs analysis, scenario-based design, and walkthrough evaluation. The designed prototype supports several main tasks, including viewing demographic statistics, searching for specific data, submitting data download requests, and contacting the admin. The evaluation was conducted through online usability testing using the Maze platform with the System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument involving 13 respondents. The evaluation results showed an average SUS score of 78.5, which falls into the “good” category. This confirms that the interface design has met usability standards, is user-friendly, and is capable of supporting user needs in accessing and managing demographic data. Thus, the application of the TCSD method has proven to be effective in producing an interface design that is focused on user tasks and can be the basis for further system development. MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KONTAK MATA PADA ANAK AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) DI RUMAH PSIKOLOGI DANEER

Abstract: Anak dengan Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) mengalami hambatan signifikan dalam kemampuan kontak mata yang berdampak pada komunikasi sosial dan interaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kontak mata… pada anak dengan ASD melalui pendekatan Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen kasus tunggal dengan fase baseline, intervensi bertahap, dan follow-up. Subjek penelitian adalah anak laki-laki berusia 4 tahun 6 bulan dengan ASD kategori ringan-sedang di Rumah Psikologi Daneer. Intervensi dilaksanakan selama 10 pertemuan dengan pengurangan prompt secara bertahap dari prompt fisik-verbal hingga tanpa prompt. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi terstruktur dengan mengukur frekuensi dan durasi kontak mata. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan frekuensi dari 4 kali (baseline) menjadi 9 kali (follow-up) dan durasi dari 6 detik menjadi 18 detik. Peningkatan durasi kontak mata lebih konsisten dibanding frekuensi, menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas atensi visual. Pada fase follow-up, subjek mampu mempertahankan kontak mata tanpa bantuan prompt maupun reinforcement. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan ABA dengan desain bertahap efektif meningkatkan kemampuan kontak mata pada anak dengan ASD dan dapat dipertahankan dalam kondisi natural.

Visual Communication In English Short Stories Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Abstract: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to visualize the narrative of English-language short stories offers a novel approach to enriching the interpretive and aesthetic dimensions of storytelling. Utilizing BingImage.com… ngImage.com as an AI-based image generator, textual narratives are transformed into prompts that create visual depictions of each scene. The visuals effectively reflect the mood, emotions, and settings of the story, albeit with some inconsistencies in character depictions across scenes. This exploratory approach examines correlations between narrative and visuals, scene continuity, and aesthetic accuracy. The findings indicate that AI-based visualization can create a more immersive reading experience, enhancing the reader's comprehension through relevant illustrations. This technology also provides creative interpretations that expand the artistic dimensions of short stories. Despite its potential, challenges such as maintaining visual consistency across scenes remain. These findings provide new insights into the integration of digital technology in literary transformation, paving the way for innovative future methodologies.

The Correlation Between Sleep Duration And Learning Achievement Of Efl Students

Abstract: This quantitative descriptive study aimed to explore the relationship between sleep duration and academic performance among third-year English Language Teaching students at IAIN Palangka Raya. data was collected from 24… voluntary participants. Results indicated that most respondents slept between 11:00 pm and 12:00 am, with an average sleep duration of 5.458 hours. Despite the majority having below the recommended 7 hours of sleep per night, the study found a weak negative correlation (-0.088) between sleep duration and academic performance (GPA). However, the p-value of 0.684 suggested that this correlation was not statistically significant. Discussion highlighted the importance of sleep for cognitive functions and academic success. Although the study contradicted some existing theories, it emphasized the need for further research with larger samples and more specific performance measurements. The findings could guide educational institutions in developing evidence-based interventions to improve students' sleep quality and, potentially, academic performance. this research contributes to the understanding of the complex relationship between sleep and academic achievement, prompting further exploration for a more comprehensive perspective.
