Albin Fajzri
Abstract: The legal basis of a valid contract according to the Civil Code is regulated in Article 1338 of the Civil Code, namely that all formal contracts apply as law for the parties thereto. Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Canva on physics recognizing consequences in the situation of momentum and impulse material for the sophistication of X MIPA… SMA Mulia Pratama Medan Academic Year 2022/2023. The type of research is a quasi-experimental study. The population is Class X MIPA semester 1 SMA Mulia Pratama Medan Academic Year 2022/2023. The research pattern was taken from general sampling, which consists of training, namely the experimental class of 30 students carrying out the STAD version of learning assisted by Canva, and the control class of 30 students carrying out the Direct education (DI) model. Research notes were obtained using a tool in the form of an essay test which includes 10 questions that have been tested beforehand to see the validity of the questions, reliability, stages of the questions and discriminating power. Based on the results of the study for the experimental class, received an average pretest of 50.50 with a trendy deviation of 9.45 and an average post-test rating of 85.07 with a desired deviation of 6.06. For the splendor of manipulation, the average pretest value became 49.57 with a standard deviation of 9.18 and the average posttest value became 79.89 with a popular deviation of 5.48. both trainings have been declared generally disbursed (obtained L0 Fcount statistical test (two-tailed t test) for α = 0.05 and dk 58 obtained tcount < ttable, especially 0.418 < 2.002, this shows that the initial abilities in both classes are the same. Then the two classes were given different treatments and at the end of the learning a post-test was given. From the results of the statistical test of the data (one-tailed t test) obtained tcount> ttable, especially 6.143> 1.671, this final result shows that there is a broad influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Canva on physics learning in gaining knowledge about the effects in the problem of calculating the amount of momentum and impulse of class X MIPA students semester I SMA Mulia Pratama Medan 2022/2023 academic year.

Imoh Emmanuel, Ph.D., Uwem,, Timilehin Olasoji, Ph.D., Olubiyi,, Arinola Aramide, Ph.D., Kuforiji,, Kabiru, Ishola, Ph.D., Genty,
Abstract: Increased productivity in SMEs in terms of quality service delivery is crucial for economic growth and development. Most SMEs are bedevilled with destructive workplace deviant behaviour, particularly the incivility of owners/managers… ners/managers and employees towards customers, which have different consequences for workplace performance parameters such as a decline in sales, low patronage, and by extension, weak gross domestic product contribution. Using the social exchange theory, this cross-sectional study examined the influence of workplace incivility on productivity among 365 owners/managers, supervisors, and employees of SMEs in the liquefied petroleum gas sub-sector in Lagos State. Stratified proportionate sampling was utilized to select the respondents. The outcomes revealed that workplace incivility in the form of rudeness, discourteous disposition, and derogatory remarks predicted productivity in terms of an interaction between customers and employees and the capacity of the service process. Also, our findings accentuated the essence of avoiding direct and indirect costs that are linked with workplace incivility. The study recommended the communal and positive interpersonal relationships between owners/managers, employees, and customers and suggested training on emotional intelligence as a panacea for behavioral responses.

A Theme–Rheme Analysis of International News Reports on Russia’s LGBT Policy

M. Asril Marpaung
Abstract: This study examines how thematic organization contributes to the construction of state power and social positioning in international news discourse. Drawing on Halliday’s Systemic Functional Linguistics, with a specific… c focus on Theme–Rheme structure, the study analyses a BBC news report published in November 2023 on the Russian Supreme Court’s decision to designate the so-called “international LGBT movement” as an extremist organization. Using a qualitative textual approach, the text is segmented into clauses and analyzed to identify patterns of thematic choice and progression. The findings reveal a consistent foregrounding of institutional actors, such as state authorities and legal bodies, in Theme position when reporting legal actions and policy decisions, while members of the LGBT community and civil society figures are predominantly thematized in clauses expressing reactions, personal experiences, and anticipated consequences. This asymmetric thematic distribution constructs a discourse in which state authority is positioned as the primary agent of action, whereas affected social groups are framed as respondents to institutional power. The study demonstrates that ideological meanings in news discourse may be realized implicitly through grammatical organization rather than explicit evaluative language, and it highlights the value of Theme–Rheme analysis for examining power relations in contemporary international news reporting.
