model—government, academia, business sector, community, and media. Karanganyar possesses rich cultural heritage in the form of batik, which holds significant potential to be developed into an educational tourism destination. However, its current management still faces various challenges. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies for data collection. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, referring to destination management theory (Cooper et al., 2008) and the concept of edu-tourism (Bodger, 1998). The results reveal that the management of batik educational tourism in Karanganyar has not yet been systematically integrated. Key issues identified include: (1) limited human resources with adequate competence, (2) conventional tourism practices, (3) lack of innovation in tourism product packaging, (4) insufficient institutional coordination and support, and (5) underdeveloped integration between cultural and educational tourism. While there is a strong commitment to cultural preservation from local communities and participation from business actors, structural support from the government and optimization of the media’s role require further enhancement. The implication of this research emphasizes the need for strengthened cross-sectoral collaboration through the Penta Helix framework, the formulation of specific policies for educational tourism development, as well as innovations in digital promotion and context-based cultural education curricula. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, tourism practitioners, and future researchers in promoting sustainable educational tourism rooted in local culture.

e of the Mataram Kingdom, both in tangible and intangible forms, and to assess its impact on the preservation and increasing accessibility of cultural information. The research method used is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the digitization of artifacts, manuscripts, historical sites, and historical narratives of the Mataram Kingdom has made a significant contribution to building public awareness of the importance of cultural preservation. This initiative also opens up opportunities for the development of culture-based ecotourism through digital media, such as applications, interactive websites, and augmented reality. However, challenges such as limited technology, funding, and human resources are still obstacles that need to be overcome through collaboration between the government, academics, cultural communities, and the private sector. Thus, digital transformation is an important means of maintaining the sustainability of the cultural heritage of the Mataram Kingdom in the modern era.

age and ecological imbalance. If left unaddressed, such behavior poses serious threats to the continuity of life. This study aims to explore the Prophet Muhammad’s hadiths that emphasize the importance of environmental preservation. Employing a qualitative method with a literature review approach, this research analyzes relevant hadiths and scholarly interpretations. The findings reveal that the Prophet’s teachings on ecological preservation are comprehensive and highly relevant to contemporary environmental challenges. Most environmental degradation is a direct result of human actions, and the prophetic hadiths offer foundational solutions—framing what can be understood as an early model of ecological education in Islam.

impact of social media in encouraging public engagement in environmental movements, both at the local and global levels. Using a qualitative approach with a combination of systematic literature analysis and multiple case studies, this research examines how social media platforms facilitate the dissemination of environmental information, promote collective action, and create spaces for discussions on environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that social media plays a significant role in mobilizing individuals to take concrete actions on environmental issues through three main mechanisms: (1) democratization of environmental information, (2) facilitation of the formation of environmental communities, and (3) acceleration of collective responses to urgent environmental issues. However, the study also identifies critical challenges, including the spread of false information, digital divide, and slacktivism phenomena that may hinder the effectiveness of digital environmental campaigns. Further analysis reveals that the effectiveness of social media use in environmental campaigns heavily depends on content strategies, timing, and the involvement of environmental influencers. The study also finds a positive correlation between the intensity of social media usage for environmental purposes and the level of public awareness and active involvement in environmental preservation. Additionally, the research highlights the significant role of social media as a catalyst for pro-environmental behavior among younger generations. These findings contribute significantly to the development of more effective environmental communication strategies in the digital era, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy in the context of environmental activism. The study recommends combining social media power with concrete actions to achieve optimal impact in addressing environmental challenges.

mmunity navigates its religious identity within a deeply rooted Torajan cultural landscape. Through ethnographic methods, including participant observation and in-depth interviews, this research explores how minority Muslims practice their faith, access public space, and maintain communal harmony. e decline in students’ physical activity in the digital era. This condition causes students to be less physically active, resulting in underdeveloped abilities in changing direction, body coordination, and movement balance. This study aimed to determine the effect of the traditional Galah Asin game on improving the agility of fifth-grade students at SD Swasta Advent Barusjulu. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 37 students selected through the total sampling technique. Data were collected using a 4x10 meter shuttle run test to measure students’ agility levels before and after the treatment. The findings revealed that the average pretest score of 25.63 seconds decreased to 22.41 seconds in the posttest, indicating an improvement difference of 3.22 seconds. The paired sample t-test results showed that the calculated t-value of 9.87 was greater than the t-table value of 2.045 with a significance level of p < 0.000, indicating that the traditional Galah Asin game had a significant effect on improving students’ agility. The game was proven to enhance agility skills, active participation, learning motivation, and students’ social interaction during PJOK learning activities. The novelty of this study lies in the utilization of the traditional Galah Asin game as a local culture-based PJOK learning strategy that not only improves students’ agility but also supports cultural preservation and strengthens elementary school students’ physical activity in the modern era.

ving tradition of the Bali Aga community, which holds substantial economic and cultural value. This study aims to analyze community empowerment through the development of tourism based on cultural weaving products, strengthen the bargaining position of local artisans, and examine efforts to maintain a balance between economic benefits and cultural preservation. The study employed a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design and involved 150 respondents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and surveys. The findings reveal that experiential tourism increased average household income by 35% and enhanced women's participation by 42% through their involvement in production activities, training programs, tour guiding, and the management of creative enterprises. Traditional weaving products were successfully developed as the primary tourism attraction, generating greater economic value while preserving cultural integrity through the clear distinction between sacred and commercial products. The utilization of digital media further expanded market access and strengthened product competitiveness. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an integrative model that connects community empowerment, experiential tourism, cultural preservation, women’s empowerment, and digital cultural entrepreneurship as a sustainable strategy for cultural tourism development.
