DESCRIPTION OF LOW DENSITY LIPOPROTEIN (LDL) LEVELS AND FASTING COMPLIANCE IN OUTPATIENT CARDIAC PATIENTS AT RSU PRIMA MEDIKA DENPASAR IN THE MONTHS OF FEBRUARY TO MARCH 2025

Ni Putu Martiana Prawita Sari, Nyoman Sudarma, Prasetya, Didik
Abstract: Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of death both globally and nationally, with Low Density Lipoprotein(LDL) levels serving as a key biochemical indicator in the screening and management of heart disease. Accurate… rate LDL testing requires adherence to pre-analytical procedures, particularly fasting for 10-12 hours. This study aimed to describe LDL levels and fasting compliance among outpatient cardiac patients at RSU Prima Medika Denpasar. A descriptive cross-sectional design was used with purposive sampling, involving 35 cardiac outpatients from February to March 2025. Data were collected through interviews and laboratory examinations using the Furuno CA-270 device. Results showed that 71% of respondents had LDL levels >100 mg/dL, indicating high levels, while 29% hadnormal levels (<100 mg/dL). All respondents (100%) complied with the fasting requirement. These findings indicate that high LDL levels are still commonly found among outpatient cardiac patients, particularly in productive-age males. The high level of fasting compliance reflects the effectiveness of pre-analytical patient education. This study emphasizes the importance of routine lipid screening and continuous education to enhance laboratory diagnostic accuracy and prevent cardiovascular complications.

Data analysis using path analysis with SEM-PLS. The results of the study show that the original sample value of the direct relationship between marketing communication and patient decision is +0.101 with a P-value of 0.226. Meanwhile, the original sample values when mediated by brand equity as the mediator variable between marketing communication and patient decision are +0.680 and +0.762 with a P-value of 0.000 at a significance level of 0.05. Abstract: Healthcare services must continuously be improved to provide the best care for the community. Patient satisfaction is the result of patients' evaluations of healthcare services, comparing their expectations with the actual… al healthcare services received in a hospital setting. Patient satisfaction with laboratory services is not solely determined by the availability of sufficient healthcare personnel but also requires strong commitment and dedication from healthcare workers to provide professional services, supported by adequate facilities and medical equipment. This study aims to assess the level of outpatient satisfaction with laboratory services at RSUD Klungkung. The research employs an observational method with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, with a sample of 97 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The data analysis in this study was performed using the Chi-Square test. Based on the five service quality dimensions—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles—the results showed a p-value < 0.05. Among these dimensions, responsiveness had the lowest p-value (0.005 < 0.05), indicating its stronger influence. These findings conclude that there is a significant relationship between service quality dimensions and the level of outpatient satisfaction with laboratory services at RSUD Klungkung. Furthermore, the responsiveness dimension, which had the lowest p-value compared to the other four dimensions, indicates that it has the most significant impact on patient satisfaction with laboratory services provided by the staff at RSUD Klungkung.
