Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 50 respondents, consisting of fish farmers, middlemen, wholesalers, and market traders. The results indicate that the Pangasius distribution system still involves multiple intermediaries, resulting in relatively weak bargaining power for fish farmers. The distribution process takes approximately 1–2 days and is constrained by limited cold storage facilities, which affects product quality. Cost analysis shows that the cost of production is IDR 20,239.15 per kg, while the ideal selling price is IDR 22,263.06 per kg, with a profit margin of 10%. Improvements in the distribution system, better access to market information, and enhanced logistical support are necessary to increase distribution efficiency and improve farmers’ profitability.

ot only a political–traditional leader but is also regarded as a representation of cosmic power that must be respected. In this perspective, the delivery of the first harvest becomes a kind of “rite of passage” from the profane world (the field) to the sacred world (the palace). Within Lamaholot tradition, this relationship is known as the 4A: Atadiken (Human), God, Nature, and Ancestral Spirits.
The findings show that the procession of delivering the first harvest has been practiced for generations since the establishment of the Adonara Kingdom. The procession is carried out for two consecutive days, Tuesday and Wednesday, during the harvest week and month, usually March or April. On Tuesday, the ritual takes place in the fields during the first harvest, the yields of which are taken to the King of Adonara in Sagu. On Wednesday, the procession takes place in Lewo Sagu Atu Matang – Tanah Kota Dolu Wewang (the palace of the Adonara king), the site of the migration of King Arkian Kamba (the first Islamic King of Adonara). Both processions are preceded by traditional ritual prayers (Bao Lolon) addressed to God, Nature, and the Ancestral Spirits (3A). The equipment involved in the procession includes the harvest yield, tuak (palm wine) in bamboo containers, coconut-shell cups, gongs and drums, spears, machetes, and traditional clothing. In the procession, the king and his kin receive the harvest in a ceremonial welcome marked by traditional rituals, during which the king wears royal attire: the lipa sarong, a jacket, and a cap. The harvested produce is not only given to members of the royal family for consumption but also distributed to the wider community (ribu ratu). A tradition that remains preserved to this day—and considered the most essential—is the distribution of the first harvest by the king and his family to widows, the poor, orphans, and abandoned children. This symbolizes love, fairness, and equitable sharing—values that continue to be upheld today.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga dampak sosial utama: (1) perubahan akses lahan dan hilangnya zona tradisional berburu, meramu, dan mengambil sagu yang mengancam ketahanan budaya; (2) transformasi mata pencaharian dari ekonomi subsisten ke ekonomi uang yang menciptakan ketimpangan internal komunitas; dan (3) fragmentasi sosial akibat perbedaan sikap terhadap proyek yang melemahkan kohesi masyarakat adat. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya pendekatan pembangunan yang menghormati hak-hak masyarakat adat dan mendorong pertumbuhan daerah yang inklusif serta berkelanjutan.

The East Selatpanjang Village has various MSMEs engaged in developing regional potentials made from sago, which is a typical plant of peatlands. This service activity was carried out at one of the MSMEs, namely Gerai Seroja. Community service activities were carried out by a team of lecturers and the East Selatpanjang Kukerta team in collaboration with the Kelurahan and the community to provide benefits through promotional activities for the area's superior products. The method used in this service is a qualitative method using the Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) technique with assistance from the village administration and the local community.

Abstrak: Pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat diartikan sebagai proses berdayaguna yang dilakukan sehingga dapat mengubah masyarakat tertentu menjadi lebih baik kedepannya dengan kompetensi serta kemampuan yang dimilikinya. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Selatpanjang Timur yang berlokasi pada Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi, Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti. Kelurahan Selatpanjang Timur memiliki berbagai UMKM yang bergerak untuk mengembangkan potensi daerah yang berbahan dasar sagu yang merupakan tanaman khas lahan gambut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan pada salah satu UMKM yaitu Gerai Seroja. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan oleh tim dosen dan tim Kukerta Selatpanjang Timur yang bekerjasama dengan pihak Kelurahan serta masyarakat memberikan kemanfaatan dalam kegiatan promosi produk unggulan daerah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) dengan adanya bantuan dari pihak kelurahan dan masyarakat setempat.

. Namun, pemanfaatan sagu masih terbatas, terutama karena ketergantungan pada beras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merinci potensi multifungsi sagu dan bagaimana pengelolaan berkelanjutan dapat mendukungnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi potensi ekonomi sagu sebagai sumber pangan dan industri, memahami peran sosial dan budaya sagu dalam masyarakat Papua, dan mengeksplorasi manfaat kesehatan dari berbagai bagian pohon sagu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka sebagai metode utama. Identifikasi literatur relevan dilakukan, dengan analisis menyeluruh serta sintesis informasi dari berbagai sumber daya literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sagu memiliki potensi besar dalam aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan kesehatan. Sagu dapat menjadi sumber pangan dan bahan industri yang signifikan, dengan beragam produk olahan sagu yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi. Di sisi sosial, sagu memiliki makna simbolis dalam budaya Papua, memperkuat identitas budaya dan memfasilitasi hubungan sosial yang positif. Selain itu, sagu juga memiliki potensi kesehatan yang belum banyak dieksplorasi, dengan berbagai bagian pohon sagu yang dapat digunakan untuk pengobatan tradisional. Kesimpulannya, sagu adalah sumber daya multifungsi yang memiliki nilai dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan di Papua. Dengan pengembangan kebijakan yang mendukung pengelolaan berkelanjutan, potensi sagu dapat dioptimalkan. Hal ini akan mendukung pemanfaatan yang lebih luas serta keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang potensi sagu, diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat Papua dan pelestarian budaya serta lingkungan di wilayah tersebut.
