Abstract:Hospital operations provide healthcare services while generating environmental impacts through medical waste, hazardous and toxic waste, wastewater, and the consumption of energy, water, and other resources. These impacts…
s require hospitals to adopt environmental management practices that extend beyond regulatory compliance and strengthen environmental awareness. This study aims to analyze the role of green accounting in fostering environmental awareness and supporting organizational sustainability at a specialized hospital (RSK X) in East Java, Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative approach within an interpretive paradigm using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving informants engaged in environmental management and hospital operations. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and thematic analysis using NVivo 14 Pro. The findings indicate that green accounting practices at RSK X are reflected in medical and hazardous waste management, wastewater treatment plant operations, environmental monitoring, resource efficiency, environmental reporting, and environmental cost recording. These practices function not only as mechanisms for administrative compliance and cost control but also as instruments for fostering employees' environmental awareness through socialization, monitoring, habituation, and behavioral change. Green accounting implementation is supported by management commitment, government regulations, accreditation requirements, and organizational culture. However, constraints remain, particularly the absence of a dedicated green accounting report, limited integration of environmental information into the hospital information system, and varying employee understanding of green accounting. The study concludes that green accounting serves managerial and behavioral functions by improving environmental accountability, strengthening environmental awareness, and contributing to hospital sustainability.

ng the implementation of transaction practices through an Warung Kejujuran. This study aimed to explore auditors’ experiences in conducting transactions at an Warung Kejujuran. The study employed a qualitative approach using Moustakas’ transcendental phenomenology. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation involving auditors at the Jombang Regency Inspectorate who had experience interacting with the Warung Kejujuran. Data were analyzed through epoche, phenomenological reduction, imaginative variation, and the synthesis of meaning and essence, supported by NVivo for data organization, coding, and identification of thematic patterns. The findings indicate that transaction practices at the Warung Kejujuran provide auditors with experiences of applying integrity values through independent decision-making in the absence of direct supervision. These experiences are reflected in self-control as a basis for honest action and in the fulfillment of obligations as an element of an auditor’s moral responsibility. Thus, the essence of auditors’ experiences in transaction practices at the Warung Kejujuran lies in their ability to conduct transactions independently through self-control and fulfillment of moral obligations in situations with limited external supervision.
Abstract:Maintaining employees’ Work-Life Balance (WLB) remains a major challenge for organizations operating under high operational demands. This study examines the effect of Individualized Consideration on Work-Life Balance through…
hrough Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with Work Overload as a moderating variable. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using a census survey involving 149 operational employees at PT PLN (Persero) UPT Cikupa, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that Individualized Consideration has a positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior but does not have a significant direct effect on Work-Life Balance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior, in turn, has a positive and significant effect on Work-Life Balance and fully mediates the relationship between Individualized Consideration and Work-Life Balance. Meanwhile, Work Overload does not significantly moderate the relationship between Individualized Consideration and Work-Life Balance. These findings demonstrate that individualized leadership contributes to employees’ Work-Life Balance primarily through the development of Organizational Citizenship Behavior rather than through a direct mechanism, particularly in a high-demand operational environment. Practically, the study suggests that organizations should strengthen Organizational Citizenship Behavior by fostering collaboration, voluntary support, and constructive interpersonal behavior among employees, rather than relying solely on individualized leadership practices to improve Work-Life Balance.
Abstract:This study systematically reviews the development of Total Quality Management (TQM) practices in relation to Green Quality Intelligence Capabilities (GQIC), Circular Process Innovation (CPI), and Sustainable Operational…
Performance (SOP). Responding to the need for a clearer review method and a more focused novelty, this article applies the PRISMA 2020-based Systematic Literature Review approach. Articles were identified from the Scopus database using keyword combinations related to TQM, quality management practices, green capability, green innovation, circular economy, circular process innovation, Industry 4.0, Quality 4.0, and sustainability performance. After identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and quality appraisal, 27 articles published between 2016 and 2026 were included in the final synthesis. The findings show that TQM literature has shifted from traditional quality control and customer satisfaction toward digital, green, and sustainability-oriented quality management. Soft TQM dimensions, such as leadership, employee involvement, training, and quality culture, and hard TQM dimensions, such as process management, quality tools, continuous improvement, and data-based decision making, remain dominant. However, prior studies still frequently use general mediators, including knowledge management, organizational culture, innovation capability, and competitive advantage. This review proposes CPI as a more specific mediation mechanism that translates TQM and GQIC into sustainable operational outcomes through waste reduction, resource efficiency, material reuse, energy efficiency, and circular process redesign. The study contributes by offering an integrated conceptual model and propositions for future empirical research on quality management, green intelligence, circular innovation, and sustainable operations.
Abstract:The issue of nutritional status among toddlers in Aceh Province, particularly in Kuta Baro Subdistrict, remains a serious concern due to the high prevalence of undernutrition and stunting. This study aims to determine the…
e relationship between parenting practices and children’s nutritional status in Kuta Baro Subdistrict. A descriptive-correlational method with a quantitative approach was used. The study population consisted of all 2,132 toddlers in Kuta Baro Subdistrict, with a sample of 96 toddlers selected using simple random sampling. Data on parenting practices were collected via a questionnaire, while nutritional status was measured using the weight-for-age indicator. Data analysis was conducted using a correlation test to determine the relationship between parenting practices and children’s nutritional status. The results indicate a significant relationship between parental child-rearing practices and children’s nutritional status (p=0.000). Positive and attentive child-rearing practices are correlated with optimal nutritional status, whereas inappropriate child-rearing practices are associated with poor to very poor nutritional status. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the Department of Health and educational institutions enhance parenting education and support programs for parents to improve children’s nutritional status in the region. Future research is expected to examine other factors influencing children’s nutritional status using more comprehensive methods.
Abstract:Philology has been utilized to study Islam which focusing mainly on early texts. Some debates from post-Orientalist, anthropological, and decolonial perspectives not only broaden the discourse but also introduced new challenges,…
llenges, such as separating text from practice and neglecting indigenous from outsider views. This article tries to show that these discourse and debates reveal a bigger issue where there is no clear way to examine how research methods influence our understanding of Islam. This study employs a qualitative method, conceptual approach to review relevant key words in Islamic studies and related fields, such as Orientalism, discursive tradition, lived religion, cosmopolitanism, and self-reflexity method. Instead of commenting methods as appropriate or not, the analysis looks at what each approach helps scholars notice, what it overlooks, and how it fits into larger systems of knowledge and power. Drawing on this analysis, the article introduces a self-reflexive framework with three main parts: epistemological reflexivity, positional reflexivity, and dialogical reflexivity. This framework is meant to help researchers plan and review Islamic studies projects, especially in Muslim-majority and less-explored areas, by encouraging them to consider texts, practices, and local ideas without making them too simple. The article contributes to ongoing debates by offering a new approach that moves beyond basic divisions and encourages a more open and thoughtful study of Islam.
Abstract:Caring behavior is a fundamental value and the core of professional nursing practice that directly contributes to the quality of patient care and recovery. One of the internal factors associated with caring behavior is spiritual…
piritual intelligence, which enables nurses to find meaning and purpose in the care they provide. However, evidence suggests that both nurses' caring behavior and spiritual intelligence still need improvement. This study aimed to examine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and nurses' caring behavior in inpatient wards. This study employed a quantitative analytical correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 53 nurses were recruited using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory (SISRI-24) and the Caring Behavior Inventory (CBI). Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The findings revealed that less than half of the respondents (47.2%) had low spiritual intelligence, while more than half (54.7%) demonstrated poor caring behavior. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and nurses' caring behavior (p = 0.001). Nurses with higher levels of spiritual intelligence tended to demonstrate better caring behavior than those with lower levels of spiritual intelligence. Hospital management is encouraged to consider nurses' spiritual intelligence as an important aspect in efforts to enhance caring behavior and improve the overall quality of nursing services.
Abstract:Traditional performing arts along the northern coast of Java often place female performers at the complex intersection of spiritual sacredness, patriarchal control, and modern economic commodification. This study aims to…
analyze the social realities, gender power dynamics, and cultural transformations represented in Ahmad Tohari's novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk (RDP) in direct comparison with the empirical practices of Donbret and Sintren arts in Eretan, Indramayu. Utilizing a sociology of literature framework combined with feminist culture and political economy theories, this research investigates the persistence of animistic beliefs, mechanisms of patriarchal hegemony, and the erosion of sacredness due to commercialization. Data were collected through textual hermeneutics, in-depth ethnographic field observations, interviews with local cultural custodians, and socio-structural analytical methods. The findings reveal that while both the literary text and the living traditions share an ancestral lineage in animistic rituals where the female body functions as a sacred medium for ancestral spirits (indang), contemporary socio-economic pressures have significantly altered these structures. The sacred status of female performers is systematically degraded into an object of eroticism, saweran transactions, and male control. This paper emphasizes the vulnerability of traditional female-centered performing arts amidst societal transformation and commercialization.
Abstract:This study aims to map innovative solutions based on multi-stakeholder collaboration to optimize the implementation of the Child-Friendly Schools (CFS) Policy in Labuhanbatu Regency, which in practice still faces various…
obstacles. Through a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as literature review, in-depth interviews, observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) in three elementary schools, this study identifies the root causes of the problems. The main findings reveal that the obstacles to the implementation of the CFS are multidimensional, including a substantial lack of understanding of the CFS among educators and parents, limited financial and human resources, resistance to changes in school culture, and weak coordination and active participation from all stakeholders, including children. The value and contribution of this study lies in the proposition of a systemic solution that fills the gap in existing literacy, which goes beyond problem identification. This study recommends a series of integrated innovative solutions, such as the use of digital platforms for outreach and complaints, continuous capacity building of educators, strengthening child participation through official forums, and most importantly, the establishment of a multi-stakeholder collaboration forum and the integration of the CFS policy into regional planning and budgeting (RPJMD/APBD). Key recommendations emphasize the establishment of a multi-stakeholder collaboration forum involving schools, local governments, communities, and the business world, as well as the establishment of an independent monitoring team to ensure accountability.
Abstract:This article examines the role of Muslim women in the public sphere using a systematic literature review approach. By integrating indexed scientific sources, gender theory, and Islamic studies, this research aims to outline…
ine the evolution of women’s roles from historical to contemporary perspectives. Historical approaches and methodological frameworks are employed to structure arguments systematically, covering the basic Islamic concept of women’s roles, the methodology applied in the literature review, analysis of social dynamics and relevant case studies, and critical discussion of challenges and opportunities faced by women in the public sphere. This study also identifies internal and external factors that influence women’s roles, ranging from geographical context to public policy developments. The findings show that interpretations of the concept of equality in Islam have shifted over time and are shaped by socio-political dynamics. This research is expected to stimulate further academic debate on women’s roles in the public sphere and contribute to more inclusive policies. This article explores various historical and contemporary dimensions that shape the role of Muslim women in the public sphere, highlighting both the potential and challenges in translating Islamic values of equality into policy and social practice. It is hoped that this study will enrich academic discourse on the relationship between religion, gender, and modernity, and pave the way for policy initiatives that support women’s empowerment in the Islamic world.
