Nurpadila, Nurpadila, Efendi P, Efendi P
Abstract: Romantic relationships are one form of interpersonal relationship that can influence the emotional and psychological conditions of university students. Romantic relationships can provide emotional support, comfort, attention,… tion, a place to share problems, and motivation. However, problems within romantic relationships, such as lack of communication, dishonesty, betrayal, and lack of family approval, can also become sources of emotional and psychological pressure. This study aims to describe the dynamics of romantic relationships and their impact on the mental health of UIN Palopo students. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informants consisted of four UIN Palopo students selected using purposive sampling. The informants consisted of one male student and three female students from the Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Islamic Religious Education, and Islamic Education Management study programs, all of whom were eighth-semester students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the dynamics of romantic relationships experienced by students developed through several stages, namely introduction, emotional closeness, commitment, conflict, and the end of the relationship. Communication, attention, trust, openness, and emotional attachment were important elements in the development and maintenance of relationships. Romantic relationships had positive impacts in the form of emotional support, comfort, attention, a place to share stories and problems, and increased motivation. Meanwhile, negative impacts included sadness, disappointment, feelings of loss, stress, anxiety, frustration, mood changes, difficulty regulating emotions, decreased appetite, loss of motivation, and reduced social interaction. Thus, romantic relationships can have both positive and negative impacts on students' mental health depending on the dynamics and experiences that occur within the relationship.

Implementation Of The Advanced Encryption Standard-128 Algorithm And Huffman Compression To Protect Student Grade Data

Dzulfikar Ahmad Firdaus, Fida Maisa Hana, Widya Cholid Wahyudin
Abstract: Student grade data is personal data that must be protected under Indonesian Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, yet the rising number of data breaches in the education sector shows that such protection has… not been optimally implemented. This study implements the 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm combined with Huffman compression to protect the confidentiality and integrity of student grade files in Excel (.xlsx) format, and evaluates its effectiveness through functional, performance, and security testing. The system was developed as a Python desktop application with a CustomTkinter interface, in which the encryption process runs Huffman compression before AES-128, while integrity verification uses SHA-256 hashing. Testing was conducted on seven student grade files from MA Ma'ahid Kudus. The results show that all files were successfully encrypted and decrypted without failure or data alteration, with encryption times of 0.0142-0.0828 seconds and decryption times of 0.0046-0.1417 seconds. The SHA-256 hash values of the original and decrypted files were identical for all samples, yielding 100% recovery accuracy, while the file size increase from padding and header insertion ranged only from 1,092 to 1,101 bytes. The study concludes that the combination of AES-128 and Huffman compression is an effective and efficient solution for protecting student grade data in educational institutions.

THE SCIENCE OF ABROGATION (ABROGATION): MODERN CRITIQUE

Muhammedh, Dheen
Abstract: Abrogation (abrogation) holds a central, vexed position in Islamic legal-theological hermeneutics. Classical uṣūl al-fiqh elaborated a technical theory of abrogation that attempted to mediate the diachronic process of revelation… revelation and the demands of fixity of legal judgment (ḥukm). Tradition receipts that later scripture abrogates earlier scripture wherever actual, unavoidable contradiction is found, classically expressed as "al-nāsikh wa-l-mansūkh.". Pre-modern thinkers classified modes and cases of abrogation, inferred them from revelational phases, and counted suspected cases throughout the Qur'an and Sunna. Modern scholarship avoids both epistemic pretensions and hyperbolic earlier assertions of abrogation. The article tracks early meanings, introduces intratraditional caution that moderated abrogation, and evaluates recent re-analyses based on coherence theory, maqāṣid (purposes), historicization in context, and ethics. It argues that abrogation was included in pre-modern dogmatics as a component of a package of other hermeneutical strategies (specification, restriction, prioritization, suspension) and that available resources allow for a less ambitious, economy-of-means approach. A renovated dogma leaner, evidence-based, and syncretized with maqāṣid and semantics can ensure the normativity of revelation and make the law more attentive to modern moral concerns, such as gender justice, religious pluralism, and violence. The paper reaches its climax with the proposal of a "manifest conflict resolution" regime. where abrogation is held in reserve as a last resort and not the initial starting point and has ramification for legal rulings (fatwā), legal codification and education more widely. A SOCIOLOGY OF LITERATURE STUDY ON RONGGENG DUKUH PARUK AND THE DONBRET-SINTREN TRADITION OF ERETAN: PATRIARCHAL HEGEMONY, SACREDNESS, AND CULTURAL COMMODIFICATION

Taiman, Taiman
Abstract: Traditional performing arts along the northern coast of Java often place female performers at the complex intersection of spiritual sacredness, patriarchal control, and modern economic commodification. This study aims to… analyze the social realities, gender power dynamics, and cultural transformations represented in Ahmad Tohari's novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk (RDP) in direct comparison with the empirical practices of Donbret and Sintren arts in Eretan, Indramayu. Utilizing a sociology of literature framework combined with feminist culture and political economy theories, this research investigates the persistence of animistic beliefs, mechanisms of patriarchal hegemony, and the erosion of sacredness due to commercialization. Data were collected through textual hermeneutics, in-depth ethnographic field observations, interviews with local cultural custodians, and socio-structural analytical methods. The findings reveal that while both the literary text and the living traditions share an ancestral lineage in animistic rituals where the female body functions as a sacred medium for ancestral spirits (indang), contemporary socio-economic pressures have significantly altered these structures. The sacred status of female performers is systematically degraded into an object of eroticism, saweran transactions, and male control. This paper emphasizes the vulnerability of traditional female-centered performing arts amidst societal transformation and commercialization.
