The Asahan District Agriculture Office in identifying mangosteen diseases is still done manually because in the limited time mangosteen farmers cannot receive training from unscheduled farmer counseling. So to make it easier to understand in identifying diseases, researchers create an expert system that can build to identify diseases and pests in mangosteen in percentage probability, using a certainty factor algorithm for the application of an effective expert system in overcoming the problem. The accuracy in the calculation process of the certainty factor algorithm is influenced by the selection of the data for the existing symptoms.

Abstrak: Buah manggis merupakan buah tropis yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia . pada umumnya diasahan banyak yang membudiadayakan buah manggis, namun petani masih mengalami kendala dalam menagani hama dan penyakit manggis, untuk mengatasi permasalahan permasalahan yang ada, penyuluhan pertanian membantu untuk melakukan pemahaman kepada petani agar dapat mengidentifikasi hama dan penyakit tersebut. Adapun Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Asahan dalam melakukan identifikasi penyakit manggis masih secara manual, karena dalam keterbatasan waktu petani manggis tidak dapat pelatihan dari penyuluhan petani yang tidak terjadwalkan. Maka untuk mempermudah dalam memahami dalam mengidentifikasi penyakit peneliti membuat sistem pakar yang dapat membangun untuk mengidentifikasi penyakit dan hama pada manggis dalam probabilitas persentasenya, menggunakan algoritma certainty factor untuk penerapan sistem pakar ekfektif dalam mengatasi permasalahannya. Keakuratan dalam proses perhitungan algoritma certainty factor yang dipengaruhi oleh pemilihan data gejala-gejala yang ada.

, mostly females between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, was chosen for this current activity. This was carried out in one of orphanages in Palembang, South Sumatera. To monitor and evaluate the degree of vocabulary achievement of the EFL learners, a vocabulary test was administered both before and after the intervention. The results indicated that the t obtained was much higher than the set t table and p value earned was much lower than .05. Therefore, it could be concluded that using flashcards significantly accelerated the acquisition of English vocabulary by young learners. Lastly, some fruitful implication were directed to future facilitators, researchers, and young learners, as participants.

Abstrak: Penguasaan kosakata sangat penting bagi pelajar muda dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk memanfaatkan kartu flash dalam pengajaran kosakata bahasa Inggris. Sampel yang terdiri dari tiga belas peserta, sebagian besar perempuan berusia antara tiga belas dan delapan belas tahun, dipilih untuk kegiatan saat ini. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di salah satu panti asuhan di Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Untuk memantau dan mengevaluasi tingkat pencapaian kosakata pelajar EFL, tes kosakata diberikan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa nilai t yang diperoleh jauh lebih tinggi daripada t tabel yang ditetapkan dan nilai p yang diperoleh jauh lebih rendah dari .05. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kartu flash secara signifikan mempercepat perolehan kosakata bahasa Inggris oleh pelajar muda. Terakhir, beberapa implikasi yang bermanfaat ditujukan di masa mendatang kepada fasilitator, peneliti, dan pelajar muda, sebagai peserta.

hrimp broth as an additive in Griya Batu Aji Housing in Batam, Riau Islands, with this activity participants gain insight and skills in utilizing papaya, and shrimp broth as a natural additive. Shrimp stock that is usually discarded can be utilized productively, as well as ripe papaya that is easily rotten can now be preserved in the form of sauce. The objective of this training is to make papaya sauce with shrimp stock as additive in Griya Batu Aji Housing Estate, Batam, Riau Islands. The results of the training showed that the women of Griya Batu Aji housing who participated in the training were happy (93.5%) with the training held because the women were enthusiastic because they had just learned that sauce could be made from papaya, they hoped that similar activities could be carried out again. The obstacle faced is the limited time in finding a combination of sauce filling ingredients so that the results obtained are many and have a good taste. Making papaya sauce with shrimp broth is very simple, namely papaya fruit is made into a paste mixed with spices. From this training program, it is hoped that housewives will be able to make sauces using natural ingredients for personal consumption.

Abstrak: Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keresahan warga terhadap bahan sambal yang berbahaya yang beredar di pasaran, sehingga mereka berharap dapat membuat sambal rumahan yang lebih higienis. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah membuat sambal pepaya dengan bahan tambahan kaldu udang di Perumahan Griya Batu Aji Batam Kepulauan Riau, dengan kegiatan ini peserta memperoleh wawasan dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan bahan tambahan kaldu udang, dan pepaya sebagai bahan tambahan alami. Kaldu udang yang biasanya dibuang dapat dimanfaatkan secara produktif, begitu pula dengan pepaya matang yang mudah busuk kini dapat diawetkan dalam bentuk sambal. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa ibu-ibu perumahan Griya Batu Aji yang mengikuti pelatihan merasa senang (93,5%) terhadap pelatihan yang diadakan karena ibu-ibu antusias karena baru mengetahui bahwa sambal dapat dibuat dari bahan dasar pepaya, mereka berharap kegiatan serupa dapat dilaksanakan kembali. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah dengan metode ceramah, praktik lapangan, diskusi. Kendala yang dihadapi yaitu keterbatasan waktu dalam mencari kombinasi bahan isi sambal sehingga hasil yang diperoleh banyak dan memiliki cita rasa yang enak. Membuat saus pepaya dengan kaldu udang sangat mudah, yaitu buah pepaya dibuat menjadi pasta yang dicampur dengan rempah-rempah. Dari program pelatihan ini, diharapkan para ibu rumah tangga mampu membuat saus dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan alami untuk konsumsi pribadi.

ery which is paralleled to 24V. This voltage was then changed by the inverter to 220VAC to light 10 lights as research samples. Tests show that the LDR sensor works optimally at 5VDC voltage. If the voltage supplied is less or more than 5VDC, the sensor cannot function properly. Analysis of the conversion of ADC values to output voltage shows consistent results according to the test table. In addition, using 12VDC voltage directly on the LDR causes the sensor to not function because the LDR is designed for low voltage (≤5V). Without a suitable resistor, excessive current can damage sensor components. The system design is able to minimize the use of electricity sources from PLN and is an energy-saving solution for lighting dragon fruit plants in the field.

Abstrak: Rancangan sistem otomatisasi lampu pada tanaman buah naga menggunakan sensor LDR sebagai pendeteksi intensitas cahaya. Sistem ini didukung oleh modul surya berkapasitas 10-20 watt untuk menyuplai daya ke baterai 12V yang diparalel menjadi 24V. Tegangan ini kemudian diubah oleh inverter menjadi 220VAC untuk menyalakan 10 lampu sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sensor LDR bekerja optimal pada tegangan 5VDC. Jika tegangan yang diberikan kurang atau lebih dari 5VDC, sensor tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Analisis konversi nilai ADC ke tegangan output menunjukkan hasil yang konsisten sesuai tabel pengujian. Selain itu, penggunaan tegangan 12VDC langsung pada LDR menyebabkan sensor tidak berfungsi karena LDR dirancang untuk tegangan rendah (≤5V). Tanpa resistor yang sesuai, arus yang berlebih dapat merusak komponen sensor. Rancangan sistem mampu meminimalisir penggunaan sumber listrik dari PLN dan menjadi solusi hemat energi untuk penerangan tanaman buah naga di lapangan.

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the students through training in processing coconut fiber waste into cocopeat using a chopping machine. This cocopeat product can be used as an organic planting medium. This training was held at the Al Mimbar boarding school in Jombang, East Java, which can create an alternative source of income for the boarding school and foster environmental awareness among students. The methods used in this training include socialization and hands-on practice in making cocopeat. The results of this activity show that the students are increasingly aware of the environment, are able to process coconut fiber waste into quality cocopeat, and understand the economic value of the product as well as the market potential that can be utilized by the pesantren to get additional sources of funding from the sales of cocopeat. Thus, this program can be the first step for pesantren in developing sustainable environment-based businesses, as well as making a positive contribution to improving the local economy.

Abstrak: Serabut kelapa atau sabut kelapa adalah bagian luar dari buah kelapa yang sering dianggap sebagai limbah setelah diambil daging dan airnya. Tanpa pengolahan yang tepat, serabut kelapa dibuang akan menumpuk di lingkungan sekitar sehingga menciptakan sejumlah masalah lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para santri melalui pelatihan pengolahan limbah serabut kelapa menjadi cocopeat dengan menggunakan mesin pencacah. Produk cocopeat ini dapat digunakan sebagai media tanam organik. Pelatihan ini diselenggarakan di pondok pesantren Al Mimbar Jombang Jawa Timur yang dapat menciptakan sumber pendapatan alternatif bagi pesantren dan menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan di kalangan santri. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini meliputi sosialisasi dan praktek langsung pembuatan cocopeat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa para santri semakin sadar akan lingkungan, mampu mengolah limbah serabut kelapa menjadi cocopeat berkualitas, dan memahami nilai ekonomis dari produk tersebut serta potensi pasar yang dapat dimanfaatkan pesantren mendapatkan tambahan sumber pendanaan dari pendapat penjualan cocopeat. Dengan demikian, program ini dapat menjadi langkah awal bagi pesantren dalam mengembangkan usaha berbasis lingkungan yang berkelanjutan, serta memberikan kontribusi positif bagi peningkatan perekonomian lokal.

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) merupakan minyak kelapa yang diekstraksi yang mengandung asam lemak yang memiliki rantai sedang yang telah dipercaya memiliki banyak fungsi untuk kesehatan. asam lemak tersebut mudah dicerna dan diserap oleh usus karena ukuran molekulnya relatif kecil sehingga dapat langsung dibakar oleh tubuh untuk memproduksi energi. Selain itu, VCO mengandung asam laurat yang dapat melarutkan membran virus berupa lipid sehingga akan mengganggu kekebalan virus, sehingga virus menjadi inaktif. This is an obstacle in spreading sorghum as an agricultural potential, because extension workers have difficulty providing farmers with an understanding of the benefits of sorghum farming. Therefore, knowledge is needed in carrying out farming analysis, as well as organizing human resources in farmer groups so that they can produce maximum quality and quantity. Through this knowledge and ability, it is hoped that partners can further optimize the dissemination of sorghum farming to the farmers they support so that they can produce sustainably. The methods used in this service activity are training and mentoring. For training activities, farming business analysis and farmer group management were carried out for one day, where the implementing team facilitated training to partners, namely BPP East Suwawa. After the training activities, students in the implementing team provided regular assistance for two weeks to optimize the results obtained in the training. The results of the activity showed that the activity participants were very enthusiastic during the mentoring activity, and gave positive responses, so that activities like this could be routine, especially in assisting with sorghum farming analysis.

The strategy employs a participative approach through training partners. In order to optimize marketing, the stages of this program are based on field conditions in the emping melinjo house business in Bernung village, specifically in Taman Rejo hamlet. Material supply, mentoring, and development are among the steps. The educational results from the post-test results obtained that 70% of participants were able to answer questions correctly, were able to demonstrate operational applications using social media, and participants were already practicing the use of digital content on social media were said to be successful, as seen in the enthusiasm and motivation of the participating business actors to continue marketing online.
