Understanding public sentiment towards this policy is important for evaluating the effectiveness of the policy and formulating appropriate communication strategies. This study aims to analyze public sentiment towards the PBB-P2 increase policy using data uploaded on Platform X (Twitter). The data were collected through crawling with the keyword “building tax,” then processed through several preprocessing stages before classifying tweets into positive and negative sentiments. Two models were used: Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM). Results show that SVM outperformed BiLSTM, achieving training accuracy of 99.4% and testing accuracy of 85.9%, with accuracy 0.8595, precision 0.8536, recall 0.8595, and F1-score 0.8449. Meanwhile, BiLSTM achieved training accuracy of 86.9% and testing accuracy of 82.9%, with accuracy 0.8294, precision 0.8150, recall 0.8294, and F1-score 0.8080. These findings suggest SVM is more effective in classifying public sentiment and can support better evaluation of regional tax policies.

Abstrak: Kebijakan kenaikan tarif Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan Perdesaan dan Perkotaan (PBB-P2) di In-donesia sering memunculkan beragam reaksi dari masyarakat. Sebagian mendukung karena dianggap dapat memperkuat kapasitas fiskal daerah, sementara lainnya menolak karena kha-watir menambah beban ekonomi masyarakat. Pemahaman terhadap sentimen publik atas ke-bijakan tersebut penting untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kebijakan dan merumuskan strategi komunikasi yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis sentimen masyarakat terhadap kebijakan kenaikan PBB-P2 menggunakan data unggahan di Platform X (Twitter). Data dik-umpulkan melalui proses crawling dengan kata kunci “pajak bangunan” kemudian diproses melalui beberapa tahap preprocessing sebelum diklasifikasikan menjadi sentimen positif dan negatif. Dua model digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu Support Vector Machine (SVM) dan Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SVM memiliki kinerja lebih baik dibandingkan BiLSTM, dengan akurasi pelatihan 99,4% dan akurasi pengujian 85,9%. Nilai akurasi 0,8595, precision 0,8536, recall 0,8595, dan F1-score 0,8449. Sementara itu, BiLSTM memperoleh akurasi pelatihan 86,9% dan akurasi pengujian 82,9%, dengan akurasi 0,8294, precision 0,8150; recall 0,8294; dan F1-score 0,8080. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa SVM lebih efektif dalam mengklasifikasikan sentimen publik serta dapat mendukung evaluasi kebijakan pajak daerah dengan lebih baik.

Increase in staff turnover is correlated with the appearance of opportunities that have resulted from the tourism recovery programme that the Indonesian government has implemented as a response to the Covid-19 outbreak, as was stated before. The research aims to investigate the employees' perception of the workplace climate at Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi and determine the extent to which the work environment impacts their intention to continue working at the hotel. The qualitative method offers an opportunity for an in-depth exploration of Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi's Efforts in Retaining Employees. This research found that skill development, career advancement, pay, work culture, benefits, and outstanding relationships affect employee satisfaction at Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi. To retain staff, Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi offers cross-training programmes, fair promotion processes, and a comfortable work culture for employee development. Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi employees depart for financial, professional, and outside experience reasons. Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi has to strengthen work culture, interactions with supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates, and employee skill development.

This story reflects the author's expression of distrust then leads to a state of pessimism either as a philosophical doctrine or as a psychological mentality. In analysis through qualitative method, the figure of the police is an analogy of how the attitude of distrust emerged and developed into a form of pessimism especially to public apparatus. In conclusion, distrust and pessimism are not ex nihilo, but such reaction of any ignorance from public apparatus to any civilian.

Empathy is a physiological reaction that has three components, they are emotional, cognitive, and motivational. It helps people to understand, feel, and care about others, even if it is sometimes hard. The novel tells the story of Kate Adam and Ben Mackenzie, who are liberal and conservative Senate staffers, respectively, and who fall in love despite their ideological differences and professional rivalry. The article analyzes how the novel depicts the challenges and benefits of empathizing with a romantic partner who has opposing political views, and how empathy contributes to the development and maintenance of consummate love. Then, it concludes that the novel offers a hopeful and realistic message that consummate love can bridge the political divide, as long as the partners are willing to empathize with each other and respect their differences.

c focus on Theme–Rheme structure, the study analyses a BBC news report published in November 2023 on the Russian Supreme Court’s decision to designate the so-called “international LGBT movement” as an extremist organization. Using a qualitative textual approach, the text is segmented into clauses and analyzed to identify patterns of thematic choice and progression. The findings reveal a consistent foregrounding of institutional actors, such as state authorities and legal bodies, in Theme position when reporting legal actions and policy decisions, while members of the LGBT community and civil society figures are predominantly thematized in clauses expressing reactions, personal experiences, and anticipated consequences. This asymmetric thematic distribution constructs a discourse in which state authority is positioned as the primary agent of action, whereas affected social groups are framed as respondents to institutional power. The study demonstrates that ideological meanings in news discourse may be realized implicitly through grammatical organization rather than explicit evaluative language, and it highlights the value of Theme–Rheme analysis for examining power relations in contemporary international news reporting.
