This study aimed to ascertain whether the utilization of Music media may yield a noteworthy disparity in enhancing students' English vocabulary and to discover whether the efficacy of music media surpasses that of conventional media. The sample size for this study consisted of 60 students. The system has two classrooms, with each class including a total of 30 students. The pre-test results yielded a t-value of t0 = 1.517, indicating that both classes are worth studying as there is no significant difference in the increase of students' English vocabulary based on the t-test. However, after treatment and the post-test, the t-value obtained was t0 = 3.201, higher than the critical t-value (tt = 2.001) at a significance level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (df) = 58. This indicates a significant difference in students' English vocabulary increase between the experimental class (taught using Music media) and the control class (introduced using conventional press) after the pre-test was administered.

Public speaking is a crucial skill in various aspects of life, ranging from education to the professional world. This ability not only helps in academic presentations but also impacts how a person communicates and influences others. At the high school level and equivalent, students begin preparing for the next stage in their education or entering the workforce. Many challenges arise for students when speaking in front of an audience in a formal setting and explaining their presentations. Students face difficulties due to a lack of self-confidence, nervousness, panic, and a lack of mastery over the material they will present. In addition to a lack of self-confidence, other challenges include limited vocabulary, low communication skills, fear of judgment from others, and insufficient preparation. Basic public speaking training at Al Ma'shum High School in Kisaran would be highly beneficial for students to boost their self-confidence, enhance their communication skills, sharpen their critical and logical thinking abilities, and equip them for entering the workforce. The basic public speaking training will involve methods such as self-introduction exercises, role-playing, speech structure practice, impromptu speaking, expression training, intonation and articulation exercises, as well as feedback and evaluation.

ongoing issues in early reading ability among students. This study aimed to describe the early reading ability of the first-grade students at SDN 014 Tarakan through diagnostic assessment in terms of five key aspects: reading letters, reading syllables, reading words, reading paragraphs, and comprehending information from reading. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this study. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings revealed that in the letter reading aspect, 34 out of 55 students were fluent, while 21 were not. In the syllable reading aspect, 27 students were fluent, and 28 were not. In the word reading aspect, 21 students read fluently, while 34 did not. In the paragraph reading aspect, 15 students read fluently, and 40 struggled. In the comprehension aspect, 16 students could understand the content, whereas 39 had difficulties with comprehension. The study also identified several challenges faced by students with reading difficulties. These included poor memorization of letter shapes, frequent errors such as changing, omitting, or misplacing letters, difficulty with long words, limited vocabulary, and lack of concentration while reading.

Additionally, conversation visualization programs are employed to help children understand and develop vocabulary. The study found that the learning process demands patience, creativity, and technological support to improve the cognitive and communication skills of deaf children. The school also emphasizes practical skill development through activities like woodworking and beauty salon workshops, preparing students for independent living. This research highlights the importance of inclusion-based character education, family involvement, and a supportive social environment, which are expected to enhance the active participation of deaf children in their communities. These findings are anticipated to serve as a reference for developing more effective and inclusive learning programs in other special education schools.

an who experienced low interest in learning English. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collected through observation and questionnaires were analyzed to determine the development of students’ interest in learning. The results showed that the use of picture cards could significantly increase students’ interest in learning. In cycle I, the level of students’ interest in learning was recorded at 60%, which indicated a lack of active involvement and motivation in learning English. After the implementation of picture cards in cycle II, students’ interest in learning increased to 83%. This increase can be seen from the increased participation of students in teaching and learning activities, enthusiasm in discussions, and better ability to understand the material. The application of picture cards proved to be effective in attracting students’ attention and facilitating the understanding of English materials, especially vocabulary and sentence structure. This study is in line with visual learning theory which states that the use of visual media can improve students’ memory and engagement. Thus, the use of picture cards as learning media is recommended for English teachers to improve students’ interest and learning outcomes. Further research is expected to explore the use of other media in foreign language learning.

a of 30 students, we came to the conclusion that most of the students, apart from the lack of access to English content, we also found a lack of interest in English, so the PKM that we conducted was not only about studying partner problems, but also introducing them to English and teaching with more effective methods, and the results showed that children do need a more "fun" approach than memorizing standard vocabulary, so they can use the vocabulary they have learned with more confidence.

Abstrak: Program pengadian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang diselenggarakan di Perumahan Taman Sari Hijau berdasarkan pada kebutuhan dan peningkatan kemauan belajar dan juga minat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris di lingkungan tersebut. Terdapat 30 anak-anak pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar yang menjadi peserta kegiatan ini. Berdasarkan hasil obeservasi awal ditemukan bahwa masih kurangnya akses terhadap konten pembelajaran berbahasa Inggris dan juga masih kurangnya minat anak-anak untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris. Dalam pelaksanaannya, kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan mempelajari permasalahan mitra dan kemudian memperkenalkan dan mengimplemnetasikan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan metode yang lebih efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Total Physical Response (TPR) yang diterapkan melalui tahapan kegiatan yang terstruktur, dimulai dari pengenalan kosakata sederhana, demonstrasi gerakan oleh pengajar, hingga praktik langsung oleh siswa melalui permainan edukatif (games). Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak memang membutuhkan pendekatan yang lebih “menyenangkan” dari pada penghafalan kosakata yang baku, sehingga mereka dapat menggunakan kosakata yang telah mereka pelajari dengan lebih percaya diri.

This situation was observed at SDN 15 Padang Genting, where English language instruction remains dominated by conventional methods with minimal utilization of adaptive digital media. Therefore, this community service program aims to enhance teachers' competencies and skills in utilizing AI technology as a medium for English language learning. The implementation adopted a Capacity Building approach comprising three structured stages: initial evaluation (pre-test), hands-on practice training, and final evaluation (post-test). The training focused on introducing text and visual generative AI, along with basic prompt engineering techniques. The results demonstrated a highly significant increase in teachers' capacity; comprehension of basic AI concepts surged from 15% to 85%, and the perceived ease of using the technology rose from 20% to 85%. Furthermore, the program successfully facilitated participants in independently producing educational media, such as interactive vocabulary flashcards and bilingual short stories. The hands-on training approach proved effective in overcoming the anxiety of non-technical teachers while accelerating their creativity in designing English learning materials that are relevant and engaging for digital-generation students.

Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) menawarkan potensi besar dalam penyediaan media pendidikan yang interaktif, namun implementasinya di tingkat pendidikan dasar seringkali terhambat oleh keterbatasan literasi digital pendidik. Kondisi ini ditemukan di SDN 15 Padang Genting, di mana pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris masih didominasi oleh metode konvensional dan minimnya pemanfaatan media digital adaptif. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi AI sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mengadopsi pendekatan Capacity Building yang mencakup tiga tahapan terstruktur: evaluasi awal (pre-test), pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung (hands-on practice), dan evaluasi akhir (post-test). Pelatihan difokuskan pada pengenalan AI generatif teks dan visual serta teknik rekayasa prompt dasar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas guru yang sangat signifikan; pemahaman konsep dasar AI melonjak dari 15% menjadi 85%, dan persepsi terhadap kemudahan penggunaan teknologi meningkat dari 20% menjadi 85%. Lebih lanjut, kegiatan ini berhasil memfasilitasi peserta untuk memproduksi luaran media pembelajaran secara mandiri, seperti flashcard vocabulary interaktif dan naskah cerita dwibahasa. Pendekatan pelatihan berbasis praktik terbukti efektif meruntuhkan kecemasan guru non-teknis, sekaligus mengakselerasi kreativitas mereka dalam merancang materi Bahasa Inggris yang relevan dan menarik bagi siswa generasi digital.

timal because the teachers lack a for-mal educational background in the field, causing students to have difficulty mastering basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding instructions. This research aims to address this problem by implementing an Activity Based Learning (ABL) approach, which emphasizes active student involvement through direct activities such as games, songs, visual simulations, and pronunciation exercises. This activity was carried out in four sessions on July 22, July 25, July 29, and August 4, 2025. Evaluation results indi-cate notable improvement. Among the five participating students, four students (80%) showed an average 20% increase in basic vocabulary mastery compared to pre-activity levels. Ninety percent demonstrated clearer pronunciation, and all students (100%) re-ported feeling enthusiastic and more motivated to learn. These findings confirm that the Activity Based Learning (ABL) approach is effective in enhancing participation and learning motivation while creating an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. All students expressed interest in joining similar activities in the future.

Abstrak: Penguasaan Bahasa Inggris sejak usia dini memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kompetensi generasi muda untuk menghadapi tantangan global di masa depan. Di Sanggar Belajar Tembesi Sidomulyo, pengajaran Bahasa Inggris belum optimal karena pengajar tidak memiliki latar belakang pendidikan formal di bidang tersebut, sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam penguasaan kosakata dasar, pelafalan, serta pemahaman instruksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan menerapkan pendekatan. Activity Based Learning (ABL), yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif siswa melalui aktivitas langsung seperti permainan, lagu, dan latihan pelafalan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam empat sesi pada tanggal 22 Juli, 25 Juli, 29 Juli, dan 4 Agustus 2025. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Dari lima siswa peserta, empat siswa (80%) mengalami peningkatan penguasaan kosakata dasar rata-rata 20% dibandingkan sebelum kegiatan. Sebanyak 90% siswa menunjukkan per-baikan pelafalan, dan seluruh peserta (100%) menyatakan merasa senang serta lebih termotivasi mengikuti pembelajaran.Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan Activity Based Learning (ABL) efektif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi dan motivasi belajar, sekaligus menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Seluruh siswa juga menyampaikan minat untuk mengikuti kegiatan serupa di masa mendatang.

This community service program aimed to enhance students' writing abilities through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The training method included interactive sessions, demonstrations of popular AI tools (e.g., Grammarly, ChatGPT, and Gemini), and hands-on practice in composing paragraphs and essays. The results showed a significant improvement in the students' grammatical accuracy, vocabulary richness, and coherence. The training also boosted the participants' confidence in writing. Implicitly, this program contributes to workforce readiness and digital literacy, offering a training model that can be replicated in other institutions. However, ongoing challenges must be addressed, particularly the risk of over-reliance on AI and the importance of further training to preserve authenticity and critical thinking in writing.

Abstrak: Pelatihan diselenggarakan untuk mengatasi tantangan peserta didik LKP Mutiara Informatika di Kisaran dalam menghasilkan tulisan Bahasa Inggris yang koheren dan akurat. Keterampilan menulis Bahasa Inggris esensial di era global, namun seringkali terhambat oleh keterbatasan tata bahasa, kosakata, dan struktur. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis peserta didik melalui pemanfaatan Kecerdasan Buatan (AI). Metode pelatihan meliputi sesi interaktif, demonstrasi penggunaan tools AI populer (misalnya, Grammarly, ChatGPT, dan Gemini), serta praktik langsung penyusunan paragraf dan esai. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada akurasi tata bahasa, kekayaan kosakata, dan koherensi tulisan peserta didik. Pelatihan ini juga membangun kepercayaan diri peserta dalam menulis. Secara implisit, program ini berkontribusi pada kesiapan tenaga kerja dan penguasaan teknologi digital, serta menawarkan model pelatihan yang dapat direplikasi di institusi lain. Namun, tantangan berkelanjutan perlu diwaspadai, terutama risiko ketergantungan berlebih pada AI dan pentingnya pelatihan lanjutan untuk menjaga otentisitas dan pemikiran kritis dalam menulis.

, mostly females between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, was chosen for this current activity. This was carried out in one of orphanages in Palembang, South Sumatera. To monitor and evaluate the degree of vocabulary achievement of the EFL learners, a vocabulary test was administered both before and after the intervention. The results indicated that the t obtained was much higher than the set t table and p value earned was much lower than .05. Therefore, it could be concluded that using flashcards significantly accelerated the acquisition of English vocabulary by young learners. Lastly, some fruitful implication were directed to future facilitators, researchers, and young learners, as participants.

Abstrak: Penguasaan kosakata sangat penting bagi pelajar muda dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk memanfaatkan kartu flash dalam pengajaran kosakata bahasa Inggris. Sampel yang terdiri dari tiga belas peserta, sebagian besar perempuan berusia antara tiga belas dan delapan belas tahun, dipilih untuk kegiatan saat ini. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di salah satu panti asuhan di Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Untuk memantau dan mengevaluasi tingkat pencapaian kosakata pelajar EFL, tes kosakata diberikan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa nilai t yang diperoleh jauh lebih tinggi daripada t tabel yang ditetapkan dan nilai p yang diperoleh jauh lebih rendah dari .05. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kartu flash secara signifikan mempercepat perolehan kosakata bahasa Inggris oleh pelajar muda. Terakhir, beberapa implikasi yang bermanfaat ditujukan di masa mendatang kepada fasilitator, peneliti, dan pelajar muda, sebagai peserta.
