GENDER ISSUES IN PUBLIC SPACES WITHIN MUSLIM COMMUNITIES: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract: Gender issues in public spaces and Muslim communities have increasingly gained attention in academic discourse due to their strong connection with social norms, cultural values, and religious interpretations that shape women's… omen's patterns of participation. This study aims to examine the influence of gender norms and values within Muslim communities on women’s engagement in public spaces, uncover the challenges they face, and formulate recommendations based on feminist and social constructionist perspectives to promote gender equality. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by tracing reputable academic databases through rigorous selection and thematic analysis. The findings reveal that Muslim women’s participation in public spaces is often hindered by patriarchal constructions, discrimination, and limited access. Nevertheless, women have developed strategies of resistance and negotiation that expand their roles. Thematic analysis identifies three main patterns: women’s representation in public spaces, gender-based social practices that impose limitations, and resistance strategies through religious reinterpretation and community activism. This article contributes to theoretical development by enriching global feminist perspectives through the lived experiences of Muslim women while also offering practical contributions in the form of inclusive and socially–religiously sensitive public policy recommendations. The implications highlight the importance of cross-cultural studies and the exploration of women’s experiences at the local community level to broaden understanding of gender equality in contemporary Muslim societies.

DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP OF QUALITY-BASED PRINCIPALS IN PUBLIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN MERAUKE REGENCY

Abstract: Democracy in Indonesia faces problems such as the disruption of freedom of expression in criticizing the government, physical violence committed by a junior high school principal against a teacher in Jombang Regency, East… t Java. Principals who are far from democratic values such as deliberation or expressing opinions, Public Junior High Schools in Merauke are less able to control subordinates. This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality-based democratic leadership by Public Junior High School principals in Merauke Regency and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with primary data sources in the form of in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation in five Public Junior High Schools in Merauke, as well as secondary data in the form of archives and educational regulations. The results show that a quality-based democratic leadership style can create a collaborative work climate that improves teacher performance and the quality of educational services, if balanced with effective coordination, continuous motivation, and transparency in decision-making. However, obstacles were also found in the form of a lack of firmness of leaders in enforcing discipline, weak consistency in providing examples, and the influence of local culture that gives rise to personal sentiments. Supporting factors include active teacher involvement in school program planning, support from local government policies, and school accreditation that encourages quality improvement. The conclusion of this study is that democratic leadership of quality-oriented school principals is effectively implemented if accompanied by increased managerial competence, strengthening the role of the school principal as a motivator, and a commitment to transparency and professionalism.

DEVELOPING LEARNING MATERIALS ORIENTED TO A REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION APPROACH INTEGRATED WITH ETHNOMATHEMATICS TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS

Abstract: This research aims to develop a mathematics learning device oriented toward the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach based on Ethnomathematics to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving skills at MTs Negeri… egeri 3 Tapanuli Selatan. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the 4-D model, which consists of four stages: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research subjects were 36 seventh-grade students in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The instruments used included expert validation sheets, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, classroom observation sheets, and mathematical problem-solving tests. The results revealed that the developed learning device achieved an average expert validation score of 4.25 in the very valid category in terms of content, language, and presentation. The practicality test showed that the teacher’s response reached 89% and the students’ response reached 91%, categorized as very practical, indicating that the device was easy to use and engaging for students. The effectiveness test showed an average N-Gain score of 0.52 (moderate category) with 86.11% of students achieving mastery learning, signifying that the learning device was effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The integration of the realistic mathematics approach with local cultural elements (ethnomathematics) successfully created meaningful and contextual learning experiences while fostering students’ appreciation for their cultural heritage. Therefore, the developed learning device is feasible to be implemented as an innovative mathematics learning medium based on cultural contexts in junior high schools and madrasah.

Abstract: This research aims to understand the influence of Sales Promotion, Utilitarian, Self-Esteem, and Hedonic Motive on Purchase Decisions with Impulse Buying and Behavior Intention as intervening variables in Shopee. The research… earch method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach using a Likert scale. Using the SEM data analysis method. The population of this study is Shopee application users in Indonesia, especially generation Z (1997-2012), with 285 respondents taken using non-probability sampling techniques. The research results show that Sales Promotion, Utilitarian, Self-Esteem, and Hedonic Motive have a positive effect on Purchase Decision. Apart from that, Sales Promotion also has a positive effect on Impulse Buying and Behavior Intention. The implication of this research is that companies can utilize the Self-Esteem motive to improve purchasing decisions. Personalized product recommendations and price offers that match consumer preferences can be implemented to increase consumer satisfaction and trust. Implementing algorithms can help companies provide better shopping experiences, improve purchasing decisions, and strengthen consumer behavioral intentions

BRIDGING DOCUMENTATION GAPS IN ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS: AN ANALYSIS OF INCOMPLETE MEDICAL ASSESSMENTS AND THEIR CONSEQUENCES FOR INA-CBGS REIMBUREMENT

Abstract: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are designed to improve service quality, documentation accuracy, and administrative efficiency, including reimbursement through the Indonesian Case-Based Groups (INA-CBGs). However, incomplete… plete medical assessments remain a challenge, potentially leading to service gaps and reduced hospital claims. This qualitative descriptive study was conducted at Dharma Yadnya General Hospital, Denpasar, which has fully implemented EMR since 2024. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five informants: two medical record officers, the head of the emergency nursing unit, the head of the inpatient nursing unit, and the head of the medical record department. Data analysis used the 3M framework: Man, Method, and Material. From the Man aspect, heavy workloads of doctors and the lack of administrative support staff often caused delays and incomplete documentation. From the Method aspect, although Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system reminders existed, monitoring relied mainly on manual follow-ups via WhatsApp groups, limiting effectiveness. From the Material aspect, the EMR system was user-friendly and supported by weekly vendor maintenance, but occasional network disruptions and insufficient administrative staff still hampered real-time documentation. Incomplete medical assessments in EMR directly affect INA-CBGs claims, especially when comorbidities, complications, or procedures are not recorded, resulting in under-coding and reduced reimbursement. Strengthening human resources, enforcing SOPs, and improving system support are essential to ensure documentation completeness, service quality, and financial sustainability

A SIMPLE STRATEGY OF LINEAR REGRESSION ON 8-BIT MICROCONTROLLER ADC TO IMPROVE SENSOR VALUE READING ACCURACY

Abstract: This study proposes a linear regression-based intelligent calibration approach to improve the accuracy of water turbidity sensor readings in an Arduino microcontroller-based embedded system. The primary objective of this… research is to develop a mathematical model capable of converting analog values ​​from the Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) into a numerical representation that reflects the actual water turbidity level in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU). The calibration process was performed using a standard Hanna Turbidity Meter with water samples ranging from 0.56 NTU to 500 NTU. Measurement results demonstrated a strong linear relationship between the ADC value (495–686) and NTU, with an average system accuracy level above 90%. Comparison of sensor measurements with the standard instrument showed an error margin below 5%, confirming the reliability of the linear regression model in compensating for optical sensor nonlinearities.

IMPLEMENTATION OF BEETROOT JUICE (BETA VULGARIS L) ADMINISTRATION TO INCREASE HEMOGLOBIN LEVEL IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH ANEMIA IN TAMANSARI VILLAGE KARANGMONCOL DISTRICT

Abstract: Background: Anemia is a condition in which the level of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the body is below normal. In pregnant women, anemia can pose health risks to both the mother and the fetus. One of the non-pharmacological… logical treatments that can be used is the administration of natural ingredients such as beetroot, which serves as an alternative due to its content of iron, folic acid, and vitamin C that can help increase hemoglobin levels. Objective: To provide an overview of the implementation of beetroot juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia. Methods: This study used a case study design involving one pregnant woman with anemia who met the inclusion criteria. The intervention consisted of administering 200 ml of beetroot juice per day for seven consecutive days. Evaluation was carried out by measuring hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention using the Easy Touch GCHb device. Results: The results showed that hemoglobin levels increased from 10.5 g/dL before the intervention to 11.8 g/dL after seven days, with an increase of 1.3 g/dL. Conclusion: Regular administration of beetroot juice is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia.

THE EFECT OF BAY LEAFT (SYZYGIUM POLYANTHUM) DECOCTION ON URIC ACID LEVEL REDUCTION IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH GOUT ARTHRITIS IN SERANG VILLAGE

Abstract: Background: Elderly individuals are at high risk of experiencing degenerative diseases, one of which is gout arthritis, caused by the accumulation of monosodium urate crystals in the joints due to hyperuricemia. Non-pharmacological… macological therapies such as bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum), which contains flavonoids, tannins, and essential oils, are believed to naturally reduce uric acid levels. Objective: To determine the effect of bay leaf decoction on reducing uric acid levels in elderly patients with gout arthritis in Serang Village. Method: This research used a descriptive approach with a case study method. The subject was one elderly person with gout arthritis who was given an intervention in the form of bay leaf decoction twice a day for four days. Results: The uric acid level before the intervention was 8.2 mg/dL and after the intervention was 4.2 mg/dL. The reduction of 4 mg/dL indicates that the bay leaf decoction was effective in lowering uric acid levels. Conclusion: Bay leaf decoction affects the reduction of uric acid levels in elderly patients with gout arthritis and can be used as a safe, easy, and affordable nonpharmacological alternative therapy.

AN OVERIVEW OF TOMATO JUICE ADMINISTRATION ON BLOOD PRESURE REDUCTION IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION IN GEMURUH VILLAGE

Abstract: Background: Hypertension is a common non-communicable health problem among the elderly and poses a risk of serious complications. Nonpharmacological therapy using tomato juice—which is rich in potassium and lycopene—has… has the potential to naturally lower blood pressure. Objective: To observe the changes in blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension following the administration of tomato juice. Method: A case study design involving one elderly respondent (78 years old) with mild hypertension. The intervention consisted of administering 200 ml of tomato juice every morning before meals for 7 consecutive days. Blood pressure was measured every morning before and after consuming the juice. Results: There was an average reduction of 7.4 mmHg in systolic blood pressure and 5.4 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure after 7 days of intervention, indicating a positive effect of tomato juice in lowering blood pressure. Conclusion: Daily administration of tomato juice for 7 days effectively reduced blood pressure in an elderly hypertensive individual, suggesting it as a safe and practical non-pharmacological therapy.

DESCRIPTION OF MODERN WOUND CARE USING RED FRUIT OINTMENT DRESING FOR Mr. S WITH DIABETICT ULCER IN GELANG VILLAGE RAKIT DISTRICT

Abstract: Background: Diabetic ulcers are a chronic complication frequently experienced by individuals with diabetes mellitus and significantly contribute to morbidity, mortality, and lower extremity amputation rates. Effective wound… und management is key to preventing further complications. Modern dressings based on the moist wound healing principle have been proven more effective than conventional methods, as they maintain wound moisture and support tissue regeneration. Objective: To describe the treatment of diabetic ulcers using the modern dressing method with red fruit (Pandanus conoideus Lamk) ointment in Gelang Village, Rakit District. Methods : This study used a descriptive case study approach involving one diabetic ulcer patient who met the inclusion criteria. Wound care was performed every two days for 14 days using modern dressing and red fruit ointment. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Results: There was an improvement in wound conditions after the application of red fruit ointment, marked by an increase in granulation tissue and a decrease in necrotic tissue. The active ingredients in the ointment such as β-carotene, tocopherol, oleic acid, and linoleic acid have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that accelerate the healing process. Conclusion: Modern dressing with red fruit ointment is effective in accelerating the healing process of diabetic ulcers and can serve as an alternative topical therapy to support optimal wound recovery
