Abstract:The purpose of this study is to analyze, partially and simultaneously, the influence of seasonal cycles and fish price fluctuations on the financial literacy of fishermen in Sifalaete Ulu Village. Partially, this study aims…
ims to determine the effect of seasonal cycles on fishermen's financial literacy, as well as the effect of fish price fluctuations on fishermen's financial literacy. Simultaneously, this study aims to determine the effect of both variables together on fishermen's financial literacy. This study used a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires from 57 active fishermen. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects. The results show that partially, seasonal cycles have a negative and significant effect on fishermen's financial literacy, while fish price fluctuations have a positive and significant effect on fishermen's financial literacy. Simultaneously, seasonal cycles and fish price fluctuations have a significant effect on fishermen's financial literacy. Income uncertainty due to these two factors causes fishermen to experience difficulties in financial planning, lack savings or emergency funds, and tend to rely on debt. In addition, low levels of education and minimal financial literacy training also hinder effective financial management
Abstract:Visual perceptual ability is one of the important aspects of cognitive development in early childhood. This ability is related to children’s capacity to recognize, differentiate, interpret, and understand information received…
eceived through vision. It includes the recognition of shapes, colors, sizes, patterns, and visual relationships, which are essential for children’s learning readiness. This study aims to improve the visual perceptual abilities of children aged 5–6 years at TK Sarantau Sasurambi through smartboard-based learning. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in several cycles, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were children aged 5–6 years. The research instruments included observation sheets of visual perceptual abilities (visual discrimination, visual memory, matching, sequencing, spatial relations, and eye–hand coordination), observation sheets on the use of the smartboard, and field notes. The results showed an improvement in visual perceptual abilities from the pre-cycle to Cycle I and Cycle II. Children’s mastery in the pre-cycle reached only 45%, increased to 65% in Cycle I, and reached 88% in Cycle II. The use of smartboards proved effective as it offers interactive and engaging visual learning experiences and facilitates children’s direct manipulation of objects. Therefore, smartboard-based learning is highly effective in improving the visual perceptual abilities of children aged 5–6 years.

The results of the study indicate that the use of the drill method can improve students’ ability to write descriptive essays. This is evidenced by improvements in the learning process, particularly in the learning environment, where students are more focused during instruction. This is evident in the pre-cycle average student score of 66.16; in Cycle I, the average score increased to 73.5, and in Cycle II, it further increased to 82.5. Overall, in Cycle II, all aspects of descriptive writing showed a highly significant improvement. Based on these research results, it can be concluded that the use of the drill method was successful and capable of improving the descriptive writing skills of seventh-grade students in Class VII-2 at Pangeran Antasari Junior High School in Medan.
Abstract:This study describes the strategies and mentoring model implemented by HIMPAUDI in Krui, West Pesisir Regency, to improve the professionalism of early childhood education teachers. This research employed a descriptive qualitative…
alitative approach, with primary data collected through a structured interview with a HIMPAUDI board member in West Pesisir Regency. The findings show that HIMPAUDI mentoring is carried out through tiered training, curriculum and learning workshops, teacher working groups, seminars, mentoring, supervision, sharing of good practices, and socialization of professional ethics. The mentoring model is participatory, collaborative, continuous, needs-based, reflective, and ethical-professional. These activities strengthen teachers pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies, particularly in understanding child development, designing creative learning, developing learning media, adapting the curriculum, and maintaining professional responsibility. However, implementation is constrained by limited time, training costs, unequal access to information, varied teacher motivation, digital competence, and coastal geographical conditions. The study recommends strengthening local professional development through professional learning communities, mentoring cycles, digital support, and institutional collaboration among HIMPAUDI, local government, higher education institutions, and early childhood education providers.
