THE EFFECT OF GIVING GREEN BETEL LEAF EXTRACT ON THE GROWTH OF Bacteroides IN VAGINAL SECRET CULTURE

Abstract: Green betel leaves contain compounds that can treat vaginal discharge, especially those caused by bacteria. To determine the effect of green betel leaf extract on the growth of Bacteroides in vaginal secretion cultures,&#8230; this study used a quantitative experimental method, where vaginal secretion samples were taken from the subjects and then tested quantitatively. There were two data collection techniques used in this study: using a questionnaire and testing vaginal secretion samples with green betel leaf extract. The test for using was diffusion (paper disc) for the antibacterial test. The media used was MHA. The positive control used was a blank disc, the extract concentration series used were 20%, 25% and 30%. The diameter of the inhibition zone was observed and then analyzed. The results of the t-test analysis showed that the significance value was 0.00 <0.05, so H0 was rejected Ha was accepted or it could be concluded that there was a difference in the effect of giving green betel leaf extract on the growth of Bacteroides in vaginal secretion culture. Antibacterial activity test of green betel leaves (Piper betle L) against Bacteroides bacteria that cause Bacterial Vaginosis, namely resistant at a concentration of 20%, intermediate at a concentration of 25% and sensitive at a concentration of 30%. Green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L) has inhibitory power against Bacteroides bacteria that cause Bacterial Vaginosis. FACTORS AFFECTING THE INCIDENCE OF VAGINAL DISCHARGE AMONG FEMALE INMATES OF CHILDBEARING AGE IN CLASS IIB WOMEN'S PRISON, PADANG

Abstract: Vaginal discharge is an indicator of an abnormal health condition in the body, characterized by the release of a fluid, other than blood, from the female reproductive organ. In July 2023, two female inmates at Class IIB&#8230; Women's Prison in Padang reported experiencing vaginal discharge accompanied by itching and an unpleasant odor. They received medical treatment at the prison clinic. The incidence of vaginal discharge in West Sumatra is approximately 3.51%. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the occurrence of vaginal discharge among female inmates of childbearing age. A quantitative research approach was used, employing a cross-sectional design and a total sampling technique, with 57 respondents. The variables examined include knowledge level, access to reproductive health information, and personal hygiene behavior during menstruation. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods with chi-square tests. The findings revealed that 43.9% of respondents experienced vaginal discharge, 71.9% had a low level of knowledge, 57.9% faced difficulties in accessing reproductive health information, and 56.1% exhibited poor personal hygiene behavior during menstruation. There was a significant relationship between knowledge level and the incidence of vaginal discharge (p=0.045), as well as between personal hygiene behavior and vaginal discharge occurrence (p=0.037). However, no significant correlation was found between access to reproductive health information and vaginal discharge (p=0.426). This study concludes that improving reproductive health education and providing adequate hygiene facilities in the prison environment are crucial steps in reducing the incidence of vaginal discharge among female inmates.

Prototipe Sistem Pendeteksi Kebocoran Air Dan Pengeluaran Air Secara Otomatis Pada Kapal Berbasisi Arduino Uno

Abstract: Abstract: Disposal of water in traditional boats is currently still done manually with human intervention, in contrast to commercial ships that already have a ballast system. This will certainly be a problem for boat users&#8230; rs who can interfere with their sailing. Therefore, in this study, a design for an automatic water pump on an Arduino Uno-based boat will be made, which functions as a tool to remove puddles in the hull of the boat due to leakage. This tool is able to discharge water on the boat automatically when the water level entering the hull of the boat has exceeded the maximum height limit until the water level is within the tolerance limit which is considered safe and does not interfere with sailing. This tool works automatically using the WLC sensor (water level control) as a tool to monitor the water level, and the Arduino Uno system as a component to run the program by switching the pump. This tool can minimize the occurrence of shipwreck accidents due to boat hull leaks and human error. This system is still applied in the form of a prototype.             Keywords: Arduino Uno; water level control; boat.     Abstrak: Pembuangan air pada kapal tradisional saat ini masih dilakukan dengan cara manual dengan adanya campur tangan manusia, berbeda dengan kapal-kapal komersil yang sudah memiliki sistem ballast. Hal ini tentunya akan menjadi permasalahan bagi para pengguna kapal yang dapat mengganggu pelayaran mereka. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini akan dibuat suatu perancangan pompa air otomatis pada kapal berbasis Arduino Uno, yang berfungsi sebagai alat untuk membuang genangan air dalam lambung kapal akibat kebocoran. Alat ini mampu melakukan pembuangan air pada kapal secara otomatis pada saat ketinggian air yang masuk kedalam lambung kapal telah melampaui batas ketinggian maksimal sampai ketinggian air tersebut berada pada batas toleransi yang dianggap aman dan tidak mengganggu pelayaran. Alat ini bekerja dengan otomatis menggunakan sensor WLC (water level control) sebagai alat untuk memantau ketinggian airnya, dan sistem Arduino Uno sebagai komponen untuk menjalankan program dengan melakukan switching pada pompa. Alat ini dapat meminimalisir terjadinya kecelakaan kapal karam akibat kebocoran lambung kapal dan human error. Penyuluhan Sumur Resapan Sebagai Upaya Konservasi Cadangan Air Tanah Dan Pengendalian Genangan Air Di Kota Baubau

Abstract: The population increase in urban areas will be directly proportional to the increase in the number of settlements and housing, so a lot of lands will change its function resulting in damage to water catchment areas. Technological&#8230; nological developments and development are increasing, disrupting rainwater catchment areas and reducing the ability of rainwater to infiltration. When the rainy season, the problem in RT 18 is a lot of  runoff that cannot quickly absorb into the reservoir, resulting in stagnant water which is quite disturbing to residents' activities. Meanwhile, during the dry season, the borehole water discharge is greatly reduced and seawater intrusion occurs into the well. To overcome this there must be a solution offered to overcome these problems. Therefore one method to build public awareness is through counseling about the importance of infiltration wells. The results of the implementation showed that before counseling the participants' understanding test results were only 14.17% and after counseling the participants' understanding was 77.5%. There was an increase in participants' understanding of 63.33%.             Keywords: infiltration wells; runoff; water conservation, water absorption   Abstrak: Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di perkotaan akan berbanding lurus dengan peningkatan jumlah pemukiman dan perumahan, sehingga banyak lahan akan beralih fungsi yang berakibat pada rusaknya daerah resapan air. Perkembangan teknologi dan pembangunan yang makin meningkat, membuat lahan resapan air hujan terganggangu dan mengurangi kemampuan air hujan meresap kedalam tanah. Pada saat musim penghujan tiba permasalahan yang terjadi di RT 18 yaitu banyak limpasan air yang tidak bisa cepat menyerap ke dalam tahan sehingga terjadi genangan air yang cukup mengganggu aktivitas warga. Sedangkan ketika musim kemarau debit air sumur bor sangat berkurang serta terjadi instrusi air laut ke dalam sumur. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut harus ada solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Oleh karena itu salah satu metode untuk membangun kesadaran masyarakat yaitu melalui penyuluhan tentang arti penting sumur resapan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkkan sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan hasil test pemahaman peserta hanya 14,17% dan setelah penyuluhan pemahaman peserta 77,5%. Pengaruh Pendekatan Pendidikan Kesehatan Di Dalam Discharge Planning Terhadap Interdialytic Weight Gains (IDWG) Pada Pasien Chronic Kidney Disease Yang Menjalani Terapi Hemodialisis Di Ruang Hemodialisa RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura

Abstract: Interdialytic Weight Gains (IDWG) merupakan peningkatan volume cairan pada pasien hemodialisis yang dimanifestasikan dengan peningkatan berat badan merupakan indikator terhadap pengaturan cairan yang dikonsumsi oleh pasien.&#8230; en. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa efektifitas pendidikan kesehatan tentang pengaturan cairan dan diet GGK dengan hemodialisis dengan  kejadian IDWG pada pasien yang menjalani tindakan hemodialisis  di ruang Hemodialisa RSUD Martapura yang ada di Kalimantan Selatan yang belum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan dengan yang sudah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan di dalam pelaksanaan discharge planning saat pasien pulang. Desain yang digunakan yaitu quasy- experiment one group pre-post treatment design dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, pada pasien menjalani terapi hemodialisa di ruang hemodialisa RSUD Ratu Zaleha Martapura. Analisis data dengan menggunakan Paired T test dengan taraf signifikasi α 0,05. Ada perbedaan antara IDWG sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan, tidak terdapat hubungan antara karakteristik pasien dengan IDWG pasien.
