Economic Behavior of The Kediri People in The Shadow of Doho Kediri Airport

Susilowati , Eni, Rofik, Eka Nur, M. Maghfiroh, Ana, Murdinar, Hardining Estu
Abstract: This study aims to examine the economic behavior of the community around Dhoho Airport, Kediri, which has undergone socio-economic transformation due to strategic infrastructure development. This phenomenon is evident in… Kediri Regency, East Java, especially after the start of the construction of Dhoho Airport, a national strategic project designed to be a lever for regional economic growth. The presence of the airport has changed the face of the surrounding area, which was previously agricultural land and modest settlements, into a bustling and fast-growing economic area. This change has led to a surge in new economic activities, such as the emergence of street vendors, restaurants, parking lots, local transportation businesses, and lodging. Using a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, this study explores the meanings raised by local economic actors in responding to these changes. The findings show that communities show adaptive responses through trade, lodging, and other services, with economic meanings influenced by local values such as blessing, hard work, and kinship. This study concludes that people's economic behavior is not only rational instrumental, but also full of subjective values and meanings, so that regional economic policies need to be designed in an inclusive and contextual manner

Economic Satisfaction of Street Vendors after Teras Samarinda Development: A Qualitative Study in Samarinda City

Wati, Karlina, Sutrisno, Reza, Rahayu, Vitria Puri
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the economic satisfaction of street vendors after the development of Teras Samarinda in Samarinda City based on indicators of sales volume, business profit, and financial goal attainment. This… study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with five street vendors who were selected purposively based on their experience of operating businesses both before and after the development of Teras Samarinda. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. To enhance data credibility, time triangulation was applied through data collection conducted at different times and days. The findings indicate that economic satisfaction has not been optimally achieved among the interviewed vendors, as reflected in declining sales volume, reduced customer numbers, and unstable daily income compared to conditions before the development. Most vendors' profits were only sufficient to cover operational expenses, causing financial goals such as savings, capital growth, and business expansion to remain largely unmet. The study concludes that economic satisfaction tended to be low among the interviewed vendors, although they continue maintaining their businesses as an adaptation strategy to survive in a changing business environment

Abstract: Dataran Merdeka holds profound national and historical value as the site where Malaya’s independence was proclaimed in 1957, yet tourists’ understanding of its historical and architectural significance remains superficial.… icial. This community service activity aims to enhance the historical literacy of visitors and foster the involvement of local stakeholders in heritage conservation through educational media and participatory mentoring tailored to community needs. The implementation stages include observation to identify tourists’ information needs and the role of local actors, the development of contextually appropriate historical educational materials, direct engagement with visitors, and capacity-building for local vendors and guides as independent cultural informants. Results indicate increased tourist interest in historical narratives, observable shifts in visitor behavior toward greater cultural appreciation, and active participation of local business actors in disseminating heritage information. This program is expected to contribute to enriching tourism experiences, strengthening community capacity, and supporting sustainable heritage preservation through collaboration among visitors, local enterprises, and educational institutions.

Rancang Bangun Robot Sampah Dengan System Kendali Android Dan System Buka Wadah Otomatis Berbasis Controller

Chandra, Wahyudi, Azhar, Zulfi, Fauziah, Rizky
Abstract: Abstract: Plastic waste and plastic bottles are also waste that have a very long dissolving period or break down period. Like a cafe or a place to eat on Merbo Bagan Asahan village Tanjung Balai sub-district Asahan district… ict which has about 5 cafes and does not include street vendors. The Asahan area has a population of 118,750 people, assuming the waste product ranges from 356,250 l/day, and the amount of waste is 160m3/day. Based on the above problem conditions, making a garbage robot can increase the interest of cafe visitors to dispose of garbage in its place, by utilizing a type of qualitative research method and the results of research testing on the electronics module in the design of a garbage robot found that the interface system between Android and the robot utilizes a 5VDC voltage, with pins RX-TX and TX-RX, as well as all outputs in the form of SG90 servo using 5VDC supply and IC L298 mini supplied with 7.4 VDC voltage. So that one of the advantages of the garbage robot design is that it is able to operate both remotely and in a stopped condition.   Keywords: Garbage Robot; Android Control System; Controller Based.
