The problem that arises from using the manual method is that a student can sign the attendance of other students, requires supervision, and burdens the administration in managing attendance data. Therefore, this study proposes the design and implementation of a student attendance application using the X100-C fingerprint machine. The application made is presented in the form of a web-based application. Through the attendance application, admin work is helped and minimizes fraud that arises from recording attendance manually using paper.

Abstrak: Kehadiran mahasiswa menjadi salah satu hal penting dalam kegiatan perkuliahan. Data kehadiran mahasiswa dapat digunakan sebagai indikator kedisiplinan mahasiswa serta sebagai penentu kelayakan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti ujian. Pencatatan kehadiran mahasiswa di Universitas Universal hingga kini masih dilakukan secara manual dengan menandatangani dokumen daftar hadir. Permasalahan yang timbul dari penggunaan cara manual tersebut adalah seorang mahasiswa dapat menandatangai kehadiran mahasiswa lain, membutuhkan pengawasan, dan membebani pihak administrasi dalam mengurus pendataan kehadiran. Oleh karenanya, penelitian ini mengajukan rancangan serta implementasi sebuah aplikasi kehadiran mahasiswa menggunakan mesin fingerprint X100-C. Aplikasi yang dibuat disajikan dalam bentuk aplikasi berbasis web. Melalui aplikasi kehadiran tersebut, pekerjaan admin menjadi terbantu dan meminimalkan kecurangan yang muncul dari pencatatan kehadiran secara manual menggunakan kertas.

Untuk pengelolaan atau pelaksanan dalam pembagian raskin sudah ditentukan sesuai dengan data yang di dapat dari desa. Namun untuk pembagian raskin tersebut desa kerepotan dalam penimbangan beras dan pendataan ulang masyarakat yang mendapatkan raskin dan juga harus membagikan masyarakat di setiap dusun, jadi untuk mempermudah dalam pembagian beras raskin peneliti merancang sebuah ATM Raskin untuk membantu pihak desa dan masyarakat kurang mampu, dan untuk lebih muda untuk pengambilan beras tersebut. ATM Raskin yang dirancang menggunakan Radio Frekuensi Identifikasi (RFID) dan Internet of things (IOT). ATM beras yang nantinya ditempatkan di kantor kelurahan atau kantor balai desa. Dengan adanya alat ini mempermuda untuk membuat laporan yang sudah tersimpan didalam sistem yang dibuat. Setiap transaksi pada mesin ATM akan mengirimkan informasi kepenanggung jawab mesin ATM yaitu Lurah atau Kepala Desa.

Namun dibalik itu semua ada beberapa hal yang membuat dispenser kurang efisien saat mengambil air minum pada gelas, karena pengguna harus menekan atau memutar keran air yang ada pada dispenser. Sistem kerja dari alat ini ialah dimana mesin akan berjalan sesuai dengan perintah yang didapat dari Dioda laser dan sensor LDR, Dioda laser akan memantulkan cahaya yang mengarah pada LDR, pada saat cahaya yang dipantulkan Dioda laser ke LDR terpotong maka dapat diartikan LDR dan Dioda laser mendeteksi atau membaca adanya benda berupa gelas, secara otomatis kedua sensor tersebut memerintahkan controller mengaktifkan pompa air dan pompa air akan bekerja mengeluarkan air yang akan diisikan pada gelas yang diletakkan pada dispenser dengan volume gelas yang digunakan, proses pengisian dan akhir pengisian akan ditampilkan oleh LCD dan saat pengisian air pada gelas penuh akan ada peringatan dari buzzer berupa bunyi. This technology allows monitoring of pond conditions such as water temperature and pH automatically, as well as periodic fish feeding settings. This community service aims to build IoT-based automatic monitoring tools and systems, as well as provide training and mentoring to members of the Jabal Farm Taruna Tani Group in using IoT technology for fish pond management. The implementation method in this activity uses a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach that emphasizes active community participation in all stages of the activity, from problem identification to evaluation and follow-up. With IoT technology, it is expected that fish pond management patterns will become more modern and efficient. This technology can help improve fish farming performance, reduce risks, and facilitate management, thus having a positive impact on the productivity and welfare of farmers.

Abstrak: Kelompok Taruna Tani Jabal Farm Milenial berada di Kota Kefamenanu, dengan fokus pada budidaya ikan air tawar dan pertanian. Sistem budidaya ikan yang masih konvensional menghadapi tantangan dalam hal pemantauan kondisi kolam dan pemberian pakan yang efisien. Salah satu masalah utama yang dihadapi kelompok ini adalah kesulitan dalam menjaga suhu dan kualitas air yang optimal serta pengelolaan pemberian pakan secara manual. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan implementasi teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) yang terintegrasi dengan aplikasi Android. Teknologi ini memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi kolam seperti suhu dan pH air secara otomatis, serta pengaturan pemberian pakan ikan secara berkala. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membangun alat dan sistem pemantauan otomatis berbasis IoT, serta memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada anggota Kelompok Taruna Tani Jabal Farm dalam menggunakan teknologi IoT untuk manajemen kolam ikan. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) yang menekankan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam seluruh tahapan kegiatan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah hingga evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Dengan adanya teknologi IoT, diharapkan pola pengelolaan kolam ikan akan menjadi lebih modern dan efisien. Teknologi ini dapat membantu meningkatkan performa budidaya ikan, mengurangi risiko, dan memudahkan manajemen, sehingga memberikan dampak positif terhadap produktivitas dan kesejahteraan petani.

Berdasarkan identifikasi masalah yang dilakukan pada sekolah SMPN 1 Teriak melalui metode wawancara dan observasi, kepala sekolah mengharapkan adanya suatu website yang dapat digunakan sekolah sebagai media informasi dan promosi. Solusi yang ditawarkan oleh dosen Institut Shanti Bhuana adalah memgembangkan web profile untuk sekolah SMPN 1 Teriak Kabupaten Bengkayang menggunakan Wordpress. Web profile sekolah dirancang dan dikembangkan oleh pihak dosen Institut Shanti Bhuana. Perancangan dan pengembangan web profile tersebut telah disosialisasikan dan disimulasikan kepada pihak sekolah. Web profile ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pihak sekolah untuk memberikan konten yang menarik berupa berita kegiatan sekolah, video kegiatan sekolah, dan galeri foto kegiatan sekolah. Meskipun ada jenis penelitian yang tidak membutuhkan peranan statistika yang dominan (penelitian kualitatif), namun untuk dapat menghasilkan kesimpulan yang dapat digeneralisasikan ke populasi yang lebih luas diperlukan ilmu statistika. Penelitian yang demikian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan paradigma yang positivistik, yakni suatu gejala itu adalah nyata jika bisa dilihat, diukur, dan diklasifikasikan. Penerapan ilmu statistik yang umumnya dibutuhkan mahasiswa dalam penulisan penelitian seperti skripsi dan tesis, akan berdampak positif terutama dalam meningkatan kualitas penelitian tersebut. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka perlu diadakan sosialisasi kepada mahasiswa. Sosialisasi dilakukan pada beberapa mahasiswa baik dari perguruan tinggi negeri maupun perguruan tinggi swasta di Kota Palembang. Sosialisasi dilakukan dengan cara mengenalkan dan memberikan tutorial bagaimana penggunaan aplikasi statistic seperti, SPSS dan Eviews, karena beberapa dosen di beberapa universitas di Palembang mengeluhkan buruknya kualitas penelitian dan ada juga yang mengatakan bahwa mahasiswa mereka tidak begitu mengerti cara penggunaan SPSS dan Eviews. Hasil dari pengabdian ini yang pertama adalah pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai SPSS dan Eviews dapat dilihat dari diskusi dan tanya jawab, kedua yaitu kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menerapkan penggunaan SPSS dan Eviews dalam penelitian.
