Belasa, Sitra Yani, Paledung, Marannu, Tijahahu, Sheilla Vilensia, Unawekla, Dean Marchia, Mantouw, Rosdiana Yudith, Salamor, Feliks Jhonrey, Malik, Wahyu, Rompas, Shean Juan, Belasa, Nurlina
Abstract: Plastic waste is an environmental problem that continues to increase along with the development of community economic activities, especially in traditional market areas. Mardika Market, Ambon City, as a center of trade and… nd community economic activities, produces a fairly high volume of plastic waste, requiring effective and sustainable management. This study aims to analyze plastic waste management and its implications for community economic activities in the Mardika Market area of Ambon City. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study and document analysis approach. Data were obtained from publications from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN), scientific journals, government reports, and various relevant documents. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that plastic waste management in the Mardika Market area still faces various challenges, including the high use of single-use plastics, limited community participation, and the suboptimal implementation of the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) principles. These conditions have implications for the cleanliness and comfort of the market environment, which can affect community economic activities, especially visitor comfort and trading activities. Therefore, synergy between the government, traders, and the community is needed to improve the effectiveness of plastic waste management to support the creation of a clean, comfortable, and productive market environment.

Integration of Expected Spoilage Cost in Calculating the Cost of Goods Sold in Perishable Culinary MSMEs: A Case Study of Kang Dani's Siomay Sales in Mojokerto

Isti, Nayola, Syihabul, Alfan, Abyan, Cipta, Mirza, Nuril, Dinary, Michiko, Aulia, Darlin
Abstract: Culinary MSMEs with perishable products face challenges in managing production costs due to the presence of unsold products, which are often not included in determining the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). This study aims to analyze… nalyze the application of the full costing method by integrating Expected Spoilage Cost into the COGS calculation at Siomay Kang Dani MSME and evaluate its impact on business profitability. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a single case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, direct observation, and documentation related to production costs and the number of unsold products. The results show that the conventional COGS of Rp7,665 per portion increased to Rp8,975 per portion after incorporating the Expected Spoilage Cost of Rp591,240 per month. The integration of spoilage costs results in a more realistic cost calculation because it considers losses due to leftover products. A sensitivity analysis also shows that increasing spoilage levels leads to an increase in COGS and a decrease in profit margins. This study suggests that the application of a modified COGS can help MSMEs set selling prices and manage profitability more accurately

Pribadi, Scholastica Wahyu
Abstract: Abstract also written in English containing key issues, objectives, methods and results. Abstract This study examines the role of service creativity in the performing arts ecosystem within the context of cultural tourism,… m, highlighting how service processes contribute to value creation beyond the artistic aspect. Cultural tourism has shifted from an object-based orientation to an experiential one, understanding performing arts not merely as a creative product but as an experience constructed through interactions between service providers and consumers. In this context, service becomes an integral part of the value creation process and audience satisfaction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method at PT Mata Hati Kitapoleng, a performing arts company in Bali. Data collection was conducted through in-depth semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observation. This research focuses on how service creativity is built through organizational processes, interactions, and practices. The results show that service creativity is formed through a structured yet flexible process, which integrates empathy for consumers, team collaboration, idea exploration, and continuous evaluation. The design thinking approach enables companies to deeply understand consumer needs and translate them into personalized and meaningful experiences. Service in this context is understood as a co-creative process, where consumers play an active role in shaping the final outcome. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction is influenced by various factors, such as trust, production and financial efficiency, innovation capacity, and evaluation and feedback mechanisms. This research confirms that service creativity is a strategic element in enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of performing arts businesses within the cultural tourism ecosystem.

Do High Potential Employees Always Possess Emotional Intelligence? A Narrative Review of the Competency Based Model in Indonesian Multisector Organizations (2024–2025)

Setiawan, Anang
Abstract: This narrative review explores whether high-potential workers (HiPo) within Indonesian organizations across various sectors consistently exhibit elevated levels of emotional intelligence (EI), and it assesses the relevance… ce of the Competency Based Model proposed by Boyatzis in the identification and development of HiPos. The review compiles freely accessible scholarly articles from 2024 to 2025, with a focus on research from Indonesia and includes one primary benchmark study on high-potential individuals for comparison, as studies specific to Indonesian HiPo are scarce. Findings reveal that being classified as a HiPo does not necessarily correlate with having high EI. Research directly related to high potential employees indicates that cognitive-intrapersonal skills such as initiative, desire for learning, and the ability to think outside conventional limits are stronger indicators of high potential than emotional-interpersonal skills. Research from various Indonesian sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, and public services, suggests that while EI plays a significant role in enhancing employee productivity, work performance, job satisfaction, and effectiveness in management, its influence typically operates through mediating factors instead of serving as a direct predictor. Furthermore, talent management research in Indonesia shows that numerous organizations still depend on performance evaluations and fragmented methods instead of comprehensive competency frameworks. This review concludes that the Competency Based Model is relevant in Indonesian organizations across different sectors; however, it should be viewed as encompassing a range of competencies rather than a single attribute. While EI is valuable, it is not an essential or sufficient criterion for determining high-potential employees.

Ridha, Achmad, Anastasya, Lidya
Abstract: This study investigates factors driving purchase intention toward reject fashion products at factory outlets in Makassar, Indonesia. Reject products garments that fail manufacturer quality control standards but are sold… legally at discounted prices represent an underexplored segment of circular fashion consumption. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Value-Based Adoption Model, this study tests a structural model in which four antecedents defect transparency, price perception, environmental consciousness, and store reputation influence purchase intention through the mediating role of perceived value. A quantitative survey was conducted with 250 consumers who visited factory outlets in Makassar. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS 4.0. Common Method Bias was confirmed absent using Harman's Single Factor Test and Full Collinearity VIF. Results indicate that all four antecedents positively influence perceived value, which strongly predicts purchase intention. Price perception is the dominant driver, followed by store reputation, environmental consciousness, and defect transparency. Perceived value fully mediates the effect of defect transparency and partially mediates the remaining three antecedents. These findings contribute to circular fashion consumer behavior literature and offer practical guidance for factory outlet operators in Eastern Indonesia.

Windarsari, Wiwin Riski
Abstract: This study addresses the limitations of traditional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems by analyzing the adoption and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration (AI-Powered CRM). Informed by the Technology… logy Acceptance Model (TAM) for employee perception and the Resource-Based View (RBV) for strategic capability, the primary objective is to evaluate how AI-driven automation enhances customer service processes and, subsequently, impacts marketing efficiency. The research employs an exploratory qualitative case study design, utilizing in-depth interviews, document analysis, and system observation on a single organization to gather rich, contextual data. The results demonstrate that AI integration significantly accelerated service, with chatbots handling 65–70% of routine queries and drastically reducing response times. Operationally, these improvements fostered high employee acceptance (TAM). Strategically, the AI-Powered CRM generated refined predictive analytics, resulting in a 12–18% improvement in campaign conversion rates and efficient resource allocation, confirming that AI creates a valuable and difficult-to-imitate strategic capability (RBV). The study concludes that AI-Powered CRM is a critical enabler for both operational efficiency and long-term strategic competitiveness in digital markets.
