BULLYING FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF HADITH IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Ria Zubaidah, Romlah Abubakar Askar, Abdul Ghofur
Abstract: Bullying is a deviant behavior that has serious impacts on the mental and social well-being of its victims, particularly within educational environments. From an Islamic perspective, acts of harming others—whether physically,… ically, verbally, or psychologically—are in direct contradiction to the values taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This study aims to examine the perspective of hadith on bullying behavior and its relevance in shaping students’ character and social ethics. This research employs a library research method, with data obtained from primary hadith sources such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and other supporting literature. The findings indicate that bullying is strongly prohibited in hadith, as it contradicts the principles of Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), the prohibition of harming others, and the obligation to uphold the dignity of fellow Muslims. The Prophet’s traditions guide Muslims to guard their speech and actions, avoid mockery, and build social relationships based on compassion and mutual respect. Therefore, the internalization of hadith values can serve as a fundamental basis for bullying prevention in educational settings.

THE QUR'AN IN RITES: HISTORICAL ANALYSIS AND ACCULTURATION OF JAVANESE CULTURE

Samsul Ariyadi
Abstract: This article examines the transformation of the meaning of the Quran in the context of death rites and death commemorations in Javanese society, especially in Central Java and Yogyakarta, during the period 2000–2023. This… his research approach is qualitative by utilizing ethnographic data, archival studies, ritual documentation, and in-depth interviews with ritual practitioners. The use of the Quran, which was originally a sacred Islamic text with normative content, has undergone a transformation of meaning when adapted into traditional Javanese rites. The process of cultural acculturation that occurred illustrates the dynamics between ancestral traditions and Islamic values, which provide space for the reinterpretation of religious symbols by local communities (Anderson, 2003; Suryadi, 2011). The historical analysis method and the theory of cultural transformation proposed by Clifford Geertz are used to explain the evolution of the use of the sacred text and highlight the role of ritual as a medium for negotiating meaning between cultures. Pengaruh Konten Media Sosial terhadap Perilaku Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) untuk meningkatkan Konsumerisme pada Generasi Z

Zaki Rahman Putra, Nur Hayati
Abstract: This research discusses the influence of social media content on the emergence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) behavior and its connection to increasing consumerism in Generation Z. This generation grew up in a digital ecosystem… system saturated with visualizations of ideal lifestyles disseminated through platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. Constant exposure to such content creates anxiety about missing out on seemingly important social experiences. FOMO then triggers consumptive actions, not due to functional needs, but because of symbolic impulses and social pressure to remain relevant within digital communities. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews of informants aged 20–26 years. The analysis results show that content such as unboxing, product reviews, and personal lifestyles have a significant impact on creating social pressure and shaping consumption-based identity. These findings underscore the importance of digital literacy and critical awareness so that Generation Z does not get trapped in a cycle of impulsive consumption, which poses risks to both mental and financial health. As an alternative, the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO) approach is introduced to build healthier and more authentic digital relationships.

Safira
Abstract: This study is grounded in the crisis of leadership integrity within Christian education, characterized by inconsistency between teaching and the lived practice of Christian Religious Education teachers, which consequently… y weakens the formation of students’ character. The research problem addresses how Moses’ leadership integrity in Numbers 12:3–8 is understood through exegetical analysis and how it is relevant to the leadership of contemporary Christian Religious Education teachers. This study aims to identify the principles of Moses’ leadership integrity and to formulate its theological and practical relevance for Christian education. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through biblical exegesis, theological analysis, and practical theology based on library research. The findings indicate that Moses’ integrity is grounded in profound humility, an intimate relationship with God as the source of leadership legitimacy, and moral consistency in obedience to the divine calling despite criticism and internal conflict. The study concludes that leadership integrity is not based on formal position, but on character quality aligned with the will of God and a living spiritual relationship. Its implication for Christian Religious Education teachers is that integrity constitutes the foundation of pedagogical and spiritual authority in shaping students’ character through life example, alignment between faith and action, and deep spiritual devotion. The novelty of this research lies in integrating the exegetical study of Numbers 12:3–8 with the construction of a leadership model for Christian Religious Education teachers based on three core dimensions of Moses’ integrity, forming a coherent theological framework applicable to contemporary Christian education.

Beni Chandra Purba
Abstract: Schools are positioned as strategic social spaces that play a crucial role in shaping students’ character and social awareness amid the growing complexity of educational challenges in the era of globalization, digitalization,… zation, and shifting social values. An educational orientation that continues to prioritize academic achievement has generated serious issues, including the weakening of character, low levels of empathy, and declining social concern among students. The research problem addressed in this study concerns how schools can fulfill their function not only as institutions for knowledge transmission, but also as spaces for the sustainable formation of values, attitudes, and social responsibility. This study aims to analyze the role of schools as arenas for character formation and social awareness, as well as to identify relevant educational approaches for internalizing moral, ethical, and social values. A qualitative approach was employed through a literature review with descriptive analysis of scholarly publications, educational policies, and character education practices. The findings indicate that schools function effectively as educational social environments when character values are systematically integrated through the curriculum, pedagogical interactions, school culture, extracurricular activities, and teacher role modeling. The conclusion emphasizes that schools bear moral and social responsibility to create a humanistic, participatory educational ecosystem oriented toward the development of students’ holistic personality. The novelty of this scholarly work lies in its conceptual affirmation of the school as a transformative social space that unifies academic dimensions, character development, and social awareness into an inseparable pedagogical whole.

Herisa Sintia, Desy Safitri, Sujarwo
Abstract: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in enhancing the communication skills of junior high school students through a literature review approach. The study critically analyzes… yzes a range of scholarly literature and recent research findings concerning the implementation of PjBL, particularly in the context of developing oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills within primary education settings. The findings indicate that PjBL fosters an active, collaborative, and contextual learning environment that significantly contributes to the improvement of students’ communication abilities. Through project completion that involves exploration, presentation, and group interaction, learners are encouraged to articulate ideas effectively, engage in active listening, and produce writing with logical and argumentative structure. Moreover, the model has been shown to enhance students' self-confidence, independence, and sense of responsibility toward their own learning process. Nonetheless, the implementation of PjBL continues to face several challenges, including limited instructional time, insufficient teacher understanding of meaningful project design, and inadequate supporting resources. Without systemic support and continuous professional development for educators, the application of this model risks becoming a mere formality with little substantive impact. Therefore, this study recommends further empirical research using a mixed-methods approach to investigate the effectiveness of PjBL across various subjects and educational levels. Such studies are expected to strengthen the theoretical foundation and promote the adoption of PjBL as a transformative learning strategy in shaping learners.

Dampak YouTube Shorts terhadap Pola Pikir dan Tingkah Laku Peserta Didik

Agil Syakhirotul Rizkiyah, Desy Safitri, Sujarwo
Abstract: The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed the way people interact, access information, and consume media. The internet, as the cornerstone of this transformation, enables instant access to… information beyond the limits of space and time. One prominent manifestation of this progress is the rise of social media platforms, including YouTube Shorts, which offer short-form videos in an engaging and fast-paced format. This platform has gained immense popularity, not only among adults but also among children and adolescents. While YouTube Shorts can serve as a source of education and entertainment, its unrestricted access regardless of age raises serious concerns. Children are particularly vulnerable to exposure to content that is inappropriate for their psychological development, such as verbal violence, consumerist lifestyles, deviant behavior, and misleading information. This situation prompts a fundamental question: to what extent do digital broadcasts influence students’ mindset and behavior? This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the impact of YouTube Shorts consumption on students. The findings reveal a duality of influence: on one hand, appropriate content can enhance literacy, creativity, and language proficiency. On the other hand, without proper supervision, this platform may lead to addiction, weaken social interaction, and normalize behaviors that contradict educational values. Therefore, collaboration between parents and educators is essential. Active supervision at home and digital ethics education at school are crucial to shaping a generation that is both critical and wise in navigating the digital information landscape.
