of single parents in fostering their children's religious character. Although children of single parents can have good religious character, they also face significant challenges in the process. This study aims to describe how single parents play a role in fostering their children's religious character and to identify the various obstacles they encounter in the process. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was then analyzed through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that single parents in Talang Balai Baru II Village have carried out their role quite well in instilling religious character in their children. This is done through the cultivation of faith, the practice of worship, and the formation of noble morals. They also strive to be good role models, offer constructive advice, and continuously pray for their children to stay on the right path. However, there are significant challenges, such as the limited time and energy of single parents in balancing work and educating their children. In addition, emotional pressure arises from concerns about the negative influences of the social environment and technological developments, particularly those coming from peers and social media.

Based on the analysis of literature, including books, journals, and scientific articles, it was found that the main challenges in character education include the negative impact of technological advancements, social and economic inequality, lack of teacher training, and limited parental involvement. On the other hand, the modern era also presents significant opportunities, such as utilizing technology for interactive learning, integrating local, national, and global values through digital media, and fostering collaboration among schools, families, and communities. Additionally, the development of relevant and flexible curricula is also an important factor in supporting character education. Although the challenges are considerable, character education in elementary schools can be optimized by implementing innovative strategies, strengthening collaboration among various stakeholders, and wisely utilizing technology. This research offers recommendations to educators, policymakers, and the community to work together in supporting the achievement of character education goals, so that the younger generation can grow with integrity and adaptability to the changing times.

This study addresses the problem of how the construction of Solomon’s character and the praxis of his wisdom in Old Testament texts can be transformed into a conceptual paradigm for modern leadership without falling into historical romanticism. The objective of this research is to formulate a theoretical leadership model grounded in biblical wisdom through an analysis of Solomon’s character, theological orientation, and decision-making patterns. The method employed is a theological hermeneutical approach integrated with interdisciplinary literature studies, including leadership theory, public ethics, and Old Testament theology. The analysis focuses on key narratives that portray the judicial, administrative, and spiritual dimensions of Solomon’s leadership. The findings indicate that Solomon’s wisdom is theocentric, deliberative, and oriented toward distributive justice, thereby shaping an integrative and visionary model of leadership. Although physical attendance is maintained, the apparent spiritual absence, reflected in passive behavior or the departure of congregants during crucial liturgical moments, reveals a management failure to holistically integrate liturgical, theological, and pastoral aspects. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews to examine the role of management in designing, implementing, and evaluating worship services that facilitate meaningful spiritual engagement. The analysis confirms that weak liturgical formation, the absence of a structured participatory evaluation system, and a less dialogical pastoral approach are dominant factors contributing to low congregation participation. Worship management that is purely administrative and procedural without reinforcement of the spiritual dimension contributes to a less transformative worship atmosphere. This study recommends reforming worship management through strengthening liturgical education, innovating more participatory and contextual forms of worship, and establishing worship evaluation teams involving leadership and congregants collaboratively and sustainably. The novelty of this research lies in emphasizing worship management not merely as a technical-administrative process but as a means of dynamically and contextually shaping the congregation’s spirituality, thereby providing a conceptual contribution to developing an adaptive and transformative worship management model within the modern church environment.

Employing a qualitative approach and contextual case study, the research focuses on the relationship between church governance structures and Papuan communal culture, which emphasizes deliberation, egalitarianism, and communal living. The findings indicate that, in principle, the Presbyterian-Synodal system possesses the potential to accommodate the collective character of Papuan society and to support congregational participation in ecclesiastical decision-making processes. However, implementation at the local level faces several challenges, including inconsistent understanding of ecclesiastical roles and responsibilities, limited human resource capacity, and misalignment between synodal policies and the contextual needs of congregations. These issues reveal a gap between the theological-structural design of the system and the pastoral realities on the ground. Therefore, this study recommends institutional renewal based on local contexts, the development of transformative church leadership models, and the strengthening of ecclesiological education rooted in Papuan cultural and social dynamics. Theoretically and practically, this research contributes to the development of contextual ecclesiology and church management in multicultural settings, emphasizing the importance of synthesizing Reformed theology with local values. As such, this study not only offers a constructive critique of current church governance practices but also opens space for reflection and innovation, enabling the church to become more relevant, just, and empowering in addressing contemporary challenges and contextual realities.

This study focuses on how early adult women interpret their experiences of witnessing paternal infidelity and the implications of these experiences for trust, commitment, emotional dynamics, and partner selection processes. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was employed to explore the subjective experiences of three early adult women aged 20-22 who encountered such events during adolescence. The findings indicate that these experiences are interpreted as traumatic, giving rise to anxiety, fear of betrayal, and difficulties in developing trust, while simultaneously fostering heightened vigilance and selectivity in choosing partners, with an emphasis on loyalty, communication, and emotional security. The emerging psychological dynamics include trust issues, a tendency to avoid conflict, and a strong need for emotional stability, which are addressed through conscious efforts to build healthier relationships characterized by open communication and effective emotional regulation. The study concludes that the subjective meaning-making of paternal infidelity plays a crucial role in shaping relational patterns, perceptions of romantic relationships, and partner selection decisions among early adult women.
