The analysis technique was implemented using the flowing technique. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: (1) lecturers and students used locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts in learning; (2) the purposes contained behind the lecturers' and students' utterances, among others: to instruct, motivate, clarify, reinforce, entertain, and conclude. Thus, the conversations between lecturers and students used direct and indirect speech acts in English Literature Course.

describe the forms and use of person deixis in the novel Mak Comblang Cinta Babe by Ditta Arieska. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method using reading, note-taking, and data classification techniques related to person deixis. The data source consisted of dialogues and narrations found in the novel. The results showed that first-person, second-person, and third-person deixis were used by the characters according to communication situations and relationships among the characters. First-person deixis was the most dominant form because it frequently appeared in conversations between characters. This study concludes that the use of person deixis in the novel helps clarify the roles of characters and build communication within the story.

There are were three steps to finish this research, the first step is preparation, the data taboo words in the film The Karate Kid by Stanlay Tong were taken from internet and understanding the movie script, also read some books like journal. The second step the writer watches The Karate Kid movie, printed script of the movie, then the writer reads the script and find out the conversations that contain taboo words. The third step is the data were analyzed using theory of Wardhaugh uses seven types of taboo words (1986). The results of this research show that there are 103 taboo words found in The Karate Kid. Introduction training is an activity designed to develop an individual’s ability to initiate and maintain conversations, as well as to get to know others with the aim of building positive social relationships. Objective: This study aims to describe nursing care for social isolation disorder: withdrawal, with a focus on the intervention of introduction training. Method: This study used a descriptive method with a case study approach. Results: After three days of nursing interventions, the symptoms of social isolation: withdrawal were reduced, and the patient was able to introduce himself. Conclusion: Nursing care for social isolation: withdrawal, focusing on the introduction training intervention over three days, proved to be highly effective for patients with social isolation: withdrawal and can help reduce the associated symptoms.

Abstrak: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh (1) penggunaan role playing atau bermain peran untuk meningkatan percakapan siswa XI-5 SMP Negeri 7 Tanjung Balai; (2) bentuk dari kegiatan pembelajaran untuk berkomunikasi dalam percakapan sehari – hari dengan menggunakan media interaktif; (3) sistem pembelajaran percakapan dalam dialog dengan menggunakan bermain peran; dan (4) peningkatan keterampilan siswa untuk berlatih bahasa inggris dengan menggunakan media interaktif seperti video, gambar dari CD untuk berkomunikasi dalam percakapan dan kemudian siswa mencoba untuk berlatih bahasa inggris dan menggunakan ekspresi di kelas dengan topik sederhana. Kemudian digunakan untuk memberikan latihan berbicara tetapi juga dapat mengembangkan dalam sesi mendengarkan. Kita dapat menggunakan percakapan untuk memperkenalkan dan fungsi mempraktikkan, struktur, atau kosa kata, dan untuk menggambarkan tingkat kesopanan , tingkat formalitas, dan nilai – nilai pencapaian sikap dan budaya. Kita juga dapat bekerja dengan siswa untuk menganalisis dialog tertulis untuk semua materi ini. percakapan berguna untuk mendengarkan dan mempraktikkan pengucapan, intonasi, dan phonologi. To explore this phenomenon, the study applies a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on naturally occurring conversations among students in various campus settings. Data were collected through careful observation and documentation of students’ spoken interactions, allowing for an in-depth understanding of how meaning is constructed in real-life situations. The results indicate that students actively employ both denotative and connotative meanings in their speech. However, connotative meanings appear more dominant, particularly in informal contexts such as casual conversations with peers. This tendency highlights the role of language as a flexible and dynamic tool for expression. Furthermore, the frequent use of connotative language demonstrates students’ creativity in conveying ideas, emotions, and attitudes. It also reflects how language functions as a marker of social identity, helping students build relationships and express group belonging within the academic community.

Learn." A hermeneutic-phenomenological study was conducted with five students in grades 4-5. Data were generated through in-depth conversations and participant observations during a four-week classroom mindfulness program and analyzed through phenomenological reduction and thematic synthesis. The research findings indicate that the unchanging essence, namely "a shift from an anxious mind to a calm mind that opens up space for learning," is expressed through four interrelated themes: perceived emotional calm, sustained attention, easier recall, and positive appreciation of quiet moments. The study concludes that mindfulness is not simply a technique, but a pedagogical way of life that begins with learning; integrating brief, mindful pauses can foster reflective, calm, and independent learners aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile.

Many researchers consider ChatGPT to be an interesting tool for improving students' language and knowledge skills, as well as their problem-solving and communication skills. The study discussed some perceptions of the merits of ChatGPT on English student with each representative answering or filling a questionnaire containing their views or responses to ChatGPT conversations using a quantitative descriptive method. It is hoped that the study can learn how English education students feel using small talk, whether it is having a good effect on their performance or whether it is adversely affecting their performance in college. The results of correlation analysis show patterns of relationships between different variables. There is no linear relationship between the level of agree and strongly disagree, but there is a strong and negative correlation between the level of disagree and strongly agree. meanwhile, a strong positive relationship was observed between neutral and strongly disagree levels.
