ANALYSIS OF HISTORY TEXTBOOKS ON THE SCIENCE OF ANCIENT MESOPOTAMIAN ZIGGURAT ARCHITECTURE

Abstract: This article aims to analyze the scientific content in the field of Ancient Mesopotamian ziggurat architecture presented in the History textbook of the 2009 School-Based Curriculum by Tarunasena M. This study uses a qualitative… itative approach with a content analysis method to examine historical discourse related to the development of science, technology, and civilization in Mesopotamia, especially in the Sumerians, Assyrians, and Chaldeans. The results of the Analysis show that the narrative in the textbook has included a representation of the progress of Mesopotamian civilization through orderly urban planning, the use of clay building materials, mastery of arithmetic and geometry, metal processing, the construction of ziggurats as religious and political symbols, the establishment of libraries as centers of knowledge, and the creation of monumental architectural works such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. These findings indicate that textbooks play an important role in transmitting to students the values of scientific progress, innovation, and the heritage of civilization.

A STUDY ON THE ANALYSIS OF CAUSES OF WORK ACCIDENTS IN GRINDING WORKERS USING THE SYSTEMATIC CAUSE ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE (SCAT) METHOD IN SUBCONTRACT X, PT X, NORTH JAKARTA

Abstract: Based on data from the HSE department at PT X, North Jakarta, from 2021 to 2024, the highest number of occupational accidents (KAK) occurred among grinding workers, totaling 12 cases. The types of accidents experienced by… y workers included metal sparks in the eyes, cuts, lacerations, scratches, and first-aid injuries. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of occupational accidents among grinding workers at PT X using the Systematic Cause Analysis Technique (SCAT) method. This research is a descriptive-analytic study using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research was conducted between July and August 2025. The research population consisted of 32 people, including 30 grinding workers who had experienced accidents, 1 HSE manager, and 1 field coordinator. The sample for this study is the same as the population. Data analysis used univariate analysis and the SCAT method analysis. Based on the results, the most frequent accident experienced by grinding workers was metal sparks in the eyes, involving 30 respondents (100%). The direct causes of these accidents were the use of inadequate PPE by 15 respondents (50%) and the improper use of grinding tools by 11 respondents (36.7%). It is recommended that management commit to maximizing the implementation of established K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) programs and standards so that work-related accidents can be prevented and zero accidents can be achieved.

CODE-SWITCHING BETWEEN INDONESIAN AND ENGLISH ON A TELEVISION TALK SHOW

Abstract: This study looked into Sarah Sechan's use of Indonesian-English code-switching on the private-run Net TV talk show host. The study looked at the different kinds of code-switching, its purposes, and the social encouragement… nt provided by code-switching that took place during the conversation. After obtaining the data from the downloaded videos, the theories of Poplack (1980), Gumperz (1982), and Myers-Scotton (1998) were used to analyze the data. The discoveries uncovered that the three sorts of code-switching, the intra-sentential code-switching, the between sentential code-switching and the extra-sentential code-switching existed. The intra-sentential code-switching, which is thought to be the more complex of the three, was used the most frequently in verbal communication. Quote marking, addressee specification, interjections, reiteration, message qualification, personalization versus objectivization, topic switch, affective function, expressive, phatic, metalinguist, and directive were also identified as twelve functions of code-switching. Predominant was the reiteration function. In the meantime, the social triggers of code-switching were identified as the sequence unmarked choice maxim and the deference choice maxim.

GOLD PRICE FORECASTING USING MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSION METHOD

Abstract:   Abstract – Price forecasting is a part of economic decision making. Forecasting the daily rise and fall of gold prices can help investors decide when to buy or sell the commodity. The price of gold depends on many factors… many factors such as the price of other precious metals, the price of crude oil, the performance of the stock exchange, and the exchange rate of currencies. This study discusses gold price forecasting using the multiple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that the best model is in the data distribution of 70%: 30% for training and testing, with a MAPE of 4.7% Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of multiple linear regression method produces a fairly good model for gold prices forecasting. Besides, the correlation analysis show that the price of other precious metals greatly influences the price of gold where in this case the silver price whose correlation value is 0.87. Keywords: forecasting, gold investment, multiple linear regression   Abstrak: Peramalan harga merupakan bagian dari pengambilan keputusan ekonomi. Melakukan peramalan terhadap kenaikan dan penurunan harga emas harian dapat membantu investor memutuskan kapan harus membeli atau menjual komoditas. Harga Emas bergantung pada banyak faktor seperti harga logam mulia lainnya, harga minyak mentah, kinerja bursa saham, dan nilai tukar mata uang. Penelitian ini membahas peramalan harga emas dengan menggunakan metode regresi linear ganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model terbaik terdapat pada pembagian data pelatihan 70%  dan pengujian 30%, dengan MAPE sebesar 4.7%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan metode regresi linear ganda menghasilkan model yang cukup baik untuk  peramalan harga emas. Selain itu, analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa harga logam mulia lainnya sangat mempengaruhi harga emas dimana dalam hal ini variabel harga perak yang nilai korelasinya 0.87.   Kata kunci: peramalan; investasi emas, regresi linear ganda    

Pengaruh Perbandingan Organik/Air dan Temperatur Terhadap Proses Kristalisasi Nikel Sulfat

Abstract: bahan baku katode baterai Li-NMC. Senyawa nikel yang digunakan dalam bahan katode NMC biasanya dalam bentuk nikel sulfat heksahidrat (NiSO4.6H2O). Untuk memperoleh nikel sulfat dengan kemurnian tinggi, pemrosesan hidrometalurgi… talurgi dari sumber primer seperti bijih nikel laterit dan mineral nikel sulfide atau sumber sekunder seperti baterai bekas lithium-ion yang mengandung nikel sering digunakan. Pemrosesan hidrometalurgi umum melibatkan praperlakuan, pelindian asam, pemisahan/pemurnian, dan kristalisasi. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan studi kristalisasi padatan nikel sulfat menggunakan pelarut organik isopropanol sebagai agen kristalisasi. Prinsip proses kristalisasi ini adalah penambahan pelarut organik yang tepat (jenis dan konsentrasi) pada temperatur rendah (10-15oC), akan membuat larutan menjadi super jenuh sehingga menurunkan kelarutan logam-sulfat dalam larutan. Akibatnya, proses kristalisasi padatan logam terjadi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh beberapa parameter seperti pengaruh perbadingan organik/air dan temperatur mempengaruhi proses kristalisasi. Penelitian ini melalui serangkaian percobaan yang terdiri dari pelarutan, kristalisas dan karakterisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbandingan organik air (OA) 2:1 dan temperatur ruang adalah parameter terbaik dengan persen pengendapan 99% dan persen perolehan 96%. Jenis senyawa pada endapan yang diperoleh adalah nikel sulfat heksahidrat (NiSO4.6H2O) sesuai dengan jenis senyawa yang terdapat pada sampel awal padatan nikel sulfat pro-analisis dengan bentuk butiran endapan tidak teratur.

Upaya Peningkatan Kemampuan Belajar pada Mata Pelajaran Pengelasan SMAW dengan Model Case Based Method pada Siswa Kelas XI SMKN 2 Bengkulu Utara

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) melalui penerapan Case-Based Method (CBM) di kelas XI Teknik Pengelasan SMKN 2 Bengkulu Utara. Metode… ode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 25 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi aktivitas, dan angket respons siswa, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 73,10 (pra-siklus) menjadi 86,97 (siklus I) dan 92,04 (siklus II) dengan ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 52% menjadi 96%. Respons positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran juga naik dari 48% menjadi 85%. Penerapan CBM terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan motivasi siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis kasus nyata yang relevan dengan praktik industri

Analysis of Metal Fiber Testing with Pondidaha Coarse Aggregate and Konawe Fine Aggregate Against Flexural Strength (Beams)

The equivalent flexural strength value tends to increase with the addition of metal fibers. This study aims to determine the effect of adding metal fibers to the flexural strength of the beam and the pattern of cracks and collapse mechanisms that occur in the beam when the object is tested. This research is a type of quantitative research with physical laboratory experimental methods. The data collection method used is a preliminary study, The selection of the type of aggregate and metal fiber and secondary data were then carried out laboratory tests for the gradation of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. The data analysis technique is linear regression analysis in the Ms. program. Excell to determine the effect of metal fibers as additives on the flexural strength of the mixing of coarse and fine aggregates.
