THE IMPACT OF COMPLAINING ON THE HEALING PROCESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL, MEDICAL, AND ISLAMIC SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVES

Isdianto, Andik, Al Indunissy, Nuruddin, Fitrianti, Novariza
Abstract: Complaining is a common emotional response to illness, yet its impact on healing is rarely examined from a multidisciplinary perspective. This article aims to analyze how complaining influences the recovery process through… gh psychological, Islamic spiritual, and medical lenses. The method used was a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected from scientific articles published between 2015 and 2024 using Scopus, PubMed, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. Findings reveal that excessive complaining amplifies stress, worsens mental health, and disrupts the immune system. Psychologically, uncontrolled complaints are linked to low emotional resilience. From an Islamic view, patience (shabr) and supplication to God provide spiritual strength and mental stability. Medically, emotional stress raises cortisol levels, negatively impacting tissue healing and immune responses. This study underscores the urgency of a holistic approach that integrates psychological, spiritual, and medical dimensions in healthcare services. It contributes to scientific discourse by offering a model for more humane and comprehensive healthcare. Further empirical studies are recommended to validate this integration in clinical settings.

Perbandingan Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa dan Guru yang Menggunakan Kurikulum Berbasis Nilai Filosofi John Dewey dan Kurikulum Tradisional

Ade Reza Maulana, Desty Endrawati Subroto, Yesi Oktaviana, Friska Maudina Zamri, Nazwa Zahra Tirtana
Abstract: This study aims to compare the effectiveness of a curriculum based on John Dewey's philosophical values with a traditional curriculum in improving student learning outcomes in higher education. Traditional curricula often… n focus on a hierarchy of subjects and rote learning, which tend to neglect concrete experiences, social relevance, and interdisciplinary connections. In contrast, Dewey's educational philosophy emphasizes a student-centered approach, democracy in education, authentic learning experiences, and multidisciplinary problem-solving. Dewey criticized the rigidity of traditional curricula for being inflexible and unresponsive to individual needs. As an alternative, he proposed a dynamic education approach oriented toward real-life experiences, aiming to prepare students for democratic life through the development of critical thinking and social skills. Further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of this approach in enhancing learning outcomes and fostering personal development in students. However, implementing approaches based on Dewey's philosophical values, such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Student-Centered Learning (SCL), faces significant challenges. Barriers such as content-based curricula, unsupportive teaching policies, insufficient infrastructure, limited facilities, and high faculty workloads remain major obstacles, as found in the context of education in Afghanistan. This highlights the need for educational reform that focuses not only on curriculum development but also on strengthening infrastructure, policies, and operational support.

LANDSLIDE RISK IN JAYAPURA REGENCY USING PARAMETER WEIGHTING METHOD FOR DISASTER MITIGATION

Yuliawan, Kristia
Abstract: Abstract: This study maps the vulnerability of landslides in Jayapura Regency, Indonesia, using a parameter weighting method within the framework of the Geographic Information System (GIS). The study identified key factors… rs that contribute to landslide risk, including slope, soil type, rainfall, geology, and land use. The analysis revealed significant areas prone to landslides, with substantial portions classified as moderate to high risk. Comparison with the BNPB Inarisk method shows variations in the percentage of risk areas, highlighting the importance of the double assessment technique. The study underscores the need for an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to landslide risk management, emphasizing accurate data collection, land-use planning, and targeted mitigation strategies. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and disaster management agencies to minimize the impact of future landslides and promote sustainable development, especially in light of the 2019 landslide disaster in Sentani. . Keywords: landslide; jayapura regency; parameter weighting method; inarisk BNPB methods; disaster mitigation.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini memetakan kerentanan tanah longsor di Kabupaten Jayapura, Indonesia, menggunakan metode pembobotan parameter dalam kerangka Sistem Informasi Geografis  (GIS).
