Education In Poverty Reduction: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract: Human resource development through education is frequently linked to the worldwide problem of poverty reduction. Education is essential in building human resources to improve skills and knowledge to get good job opportunities.… ities. This article analyses the existing literature on how education can reduce poverty. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement was used as the review methodology, and a systematic review of the Google Scholar database was carried out using Publish or Perish, which identified 99 relevant studies. In this review, education is usually evaluated from two aspects: the quality and the education level. The results of this review confirm the general conclusion that education is an essential tool for poverty reduction. Through education, people acquire knowledge and skills that can be used to get better jobs and ultimately reduce poverty. Some of the recommendations are more development research to improve the quality of education, and education policies must focus on long-term investments to overcome poverty.

HEALTH TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION SYNERGY FOR COMMUNITY WELL-BEING IN TIMOR LESTE

Abstract: This international community service program aims to improve community welfare through the synergy of health technology and effective communication strategies in Timor Leste. The program was motivated by limited access to… o health services, low health literacy, and contextual challenges in health communication within the community. The implementation methods included health education, training on the use of simple health technologies, community mentoring, and strengthening culturally based health communication. The activities were conducted collaboratively by involving local health workers, community members, students, and lecturers as part of international cooperation. The results indicate an improvement in community understanding of basic health pravtices, more optimal use of health technology, and increased active participation in maintaining personal and community health. In addition, the establishment of international collaboration networks supported the exchange of knowledge and best practices. The evaluation shows that an integrative and participatory approach was effective in supporting program sustainability, despite challenges related to infrastructure limitations and digital literacy. Overall, this community service program contributes significantly to enhancing health literacy and community welfare and can serve as a model for international community engagement based on health technology and communication.

KONTROVERSI KONTEN VIRAL DAN PEMBENTUKAN OPINI PUBLIK DI MEDIA DIGITAL: STUDI KASUS RESEPSI AUDIENS TERHADAP KASUS GIVEAWAY WILLIE SALIM

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana opini publik terbentuk di media sosial terkait kontroversi dugaan manipulasi program giveaway yang dilakukan oleh creator TikTok Willie Salim. Penelitian menggunakan metode… de kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan Teori Resepsi Encoding/ Decoding dari Stuart Hall untuk melihat bagaimana Masyarakat menafsirkan informasi yang beredar di berbagai platform media sosial. Fokus penelitian diarahkan perbedaan antara citra positif yang ditampilkan dalam video TikTok dengan fakta di balik layar yang kemudian diungkap melalui kanal  YouTube Podcast Bang Denny Sumargo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra Willie Salim sebagai kreator dermawan yang aktif membantu masyarakat selama periode 2023–2025 mengalami penurunan kepercayaan setelah muncul dugaan bahwa sebagian konten giveaway dibuat secara terencana atau settingan. Konten-konten tersebut sebelumnya berhasil menarik perhatian publik dengan jutaan penonton dan ratusan ribu likes. Temuan Penelitian juga memperlihatkan bahwa banyak netizen menganggap konten tersebut sebagai bentuk eksploitasi kemiskinan atau poverty porn demi mendapatkan perhatian dan popularitas di media sosial. Reaksi  masyarakat kemudian terbagi menjadi beberapa kelompok. Sebagian besar berada pada posisi oposisi, yaitu menolak dan mengkritik tindakan tersebut karena dianggap tidak jujur. Sebagian lainnya berada pada posisi negosiasi, yaitu tetap mengkritik kebohongan dalam konten tetapi masih menghargai adanya bantuan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Sementara itu, kelompok yang sepenuhnya mendukung Willie Salim semakin sedikit dan umumnya berasal dari pengikut setia yang tetap percaya pada sang kreator. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terbukanya informasi dari berbagai platform media sosial membuat audiens tidak lagi menjadi penonton pasif, tetapi lebih kritis dalam menilai konten digital. Fenomena ini juga menunjukkan meningkatnya kesadaran masyrakat terhadap pentingnya kejujuran, etika komunikasi, dan tanggung jawab moral dalam dunia media sosial.

Abstract: This socialization activity aimed to introduce the use of CorelDRAW as a graphic editing tool among university students. CorelDRAW was chosen because it is easy to use, flexible, and supports various design needs such as… logo creation, posters, flyers, and visual illustrations. The activity was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory method, where students not only received material but also practiced directly. The program involved 12 students and took place at Universitas Pangeran Antasari. The results showed that most participants understood the material well, particularly in recognizing the interface and basic vector drawing techniques. This activity proved to be helpful in improving students' communicative visual design skills to support both academic and organizational purposes.

THE PHENOMENON OF SIRI MARRIAGE AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR ISLAMIC FAMILY LAW

Abstract: From an Islamic perspective, marriage is not merely a civil matter, nor merely a family or cultural matter, but also relates to religious issues and events, as it is conducted to fulfill the provisions of Allah SWT and the… he Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). A siri marriage is a marriage conducted without official state registration, thus having significant legal implications for women and children. While religiously, this marriage is considered valid, from a state legal perspective, unregistered marriages result in women losing their rights as wives, such as the right to maintenance, inheritance rights, and legal protection within the household. Furthermore, women in siri marriages lack a strong legal basis to file for divorce or assert their rights in court. Meanwhile, children born from siri marriages have only a civil relationship with their mothers, thus facing obstacles in obtaining birth certificates listing the father's name, inheritance rights, and rights to care and education from the father. Siri marriages are also often used as a way to freely practice polygamy without following proper procedures.

THE COMPARISON OF RESISTANCE OF KCL POLYMER POLYAMINE'S MUD TO HIGH TEMPERATURE

Abstract: • X is a company engaged in non-construction oil & gas services, namely water base mud (polyamine based) management services, supply of chemical materials, laboratory equipment, and drilling fluid engineers for oil and gas… gas drilling. problems encountered when drilling through formations containing reactive clay and shale which can cause swelling clay problems and formation damage. This problem can be overcome with a high performance water based mud (HPWBM) mud system which has a super shale inhibition (polyamine) component. Mud which is formulated with the concept of total inhibitor, has inhibitory properties that can stabilize mineral clay and shale. The of this final assignment are to identify and study the high performance water base mud (HPWBM) mud system, then to know the ratio of good polyamines to be used in the KCL polymer polyamine mud formulation, then to look for the value of the physical properties of the KCL polymer polyamine mud formulation. to meet the oil company spec. This test begins with testing the mud properties of the KCl polymer polyamine mud sample from PT. Mitra Mandiri Saktitama before being exposed to Temperature and after being exposed to Temperature. Then analyze the changes in the value of the mud properties that have been made and the specifications of their physical properties, so that they can look for changes in the values of the mud properties of KCl polymer polyamine mud that fall within the specified range of mud properties. This test is carried out under the conditions of a room temperature of 78-300°F.

Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan Beban Kerja Guru terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMKN 1 Puloampel

Abstract: Vocational education requires teachers with optimal performance in order to produce graduates who are competent and prepared to face the demands of the workforce. Teacher performance is influenced by various factors, including… luding principal leadership and teacher workload, both of which are directly related to the implementation of instructional duties and school administration. This study focuses on the influence of principal leadership on teacher performance, the influence of teacher workload on teacher performance, and the simultaneous influence of both variables on teacher performance at SMKN 1 Puloampel. The study employed a quantitative method with a descriptive survey approach involving 55 teachers selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and questionnaire distribution using a Likert scale and were subsequently analyzed using the t-test and F-test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0. The findings revealed that principal leadership did not have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, whereas teacher workload had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Simultaneous testing further indicated that principal leadership and teacher workload collectively did not exert a significant effect on teacher performance. These findings demonstrate that teacher performance is more strongly influenced by internal factors such as professional competence, work motivation, teaching experience, and task management abilities. The novelty of this study lies in the finding that a proportionally organized teacher workload is capable of enhancing teachers’ discipline, responsibility, and work effectiveness, while principal leadership has not yet demonstrated a significant influence on teacher performance within the vocational school environment. This study contributes to the development of vocational education management through the strengthening of teacher professionalism and balanced workload management.

Pelatihan Appreciative Inquiry untuk Meningkatkan Service Excellence Awareness Pada Karyawan PT Haramainku Kota Palembang

Abstract: Pelayanan prima merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan pada industri jasa, termasuk agen perjalanan umrah. Namun, karyawan PT Haramainku Palembang belum memiliki pemahaman yang sistematis mengenai… nilai-nilai perusahaan terkait pelayanan kepada jamaah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan service excellence awareness karyawan melalui pelatihan berbasis Appreciative Inquiry. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama satu hari dengan menggunakan metode 4D Appreciative Inquiry yang meliputi tahap Discovery, Dream, Design, dan Destiny. Metode ini dipilih karena berfokus pada identifikasi kekuatan, pengalaman positif, serta perumusan visi bersama untuk pengembangan organisasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran karyawan terhadap pentingnya pelayanan prima. Pada setiap tahapan 4D, peserta mampu mengidentifikasi praktik pelayanan terbaik yang telah dimiliki perusahaan, merumuskan harapan pelayanan di masa depan, menyusun strategi penguatan budaya layanan, serta berkomitmen untuk menerapkannya dalam pekerjaan sehari-hari. Luaran utama kegiatan ini adalah tercapainya kesepakatan bersama mengenai nilai pelayanan prima perusahaan, yaitu menjadi perusahaan yang melayani jamaah sepenuh hati dan sesuai sunnah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Appreciative Inquiry efektif dalam membangun kesadaran dan komitmen karyawan terhadap budaya pelayanan prima.
