PEMBUATAN BIOETANOL DARI MAHKOTA BUAH NANAS VARIETAS CAYANE DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE

Wijayanti, Metta
Abstract: The scarcity of petroleum resources or other fuel sources encourages efforts to find alternative energy, namely Bioethanol.  Alternative raw materials that can be utilised in the manufacture of bioethanol from biomass are… re pineapple crowns. Making Bioethanol from Pineapple Fruit Crown Cayane Variety by Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae Microbes is by varying the weight of yeast and the optimum fermentation time on the level of bioethanol produced.  In this study using NaOH 1.5%w to degrade the lignin content in the crown of pineapple varieties cayane and H2SO4 2%v to convert cellulose into glucose. The research used variations in yeast weight of 7.5%; 10%; 12.5%w and variations in fermentation time of 2; 3; 4; 5 days in the fermentation process.  While the purification process uses simple distillation with operating conditions 78oC-80oC for 2.5 -4 hours.  Bioethanol obtained was tested for refractive index and gask romatography (GC). The test results obtained the optimum weight of yeast is 12.5 grams at 3 days fermentation time with bioethanol content of 6.154%.

Penyuluhan Dan Pelatihan Pembuatan Sabun Cuci Piring Dari Kulit Terong Ungu Di Desa Dawuhan

Ningsih, Indah Yulia, Prajitiasari, Ema Desia
Abstract: Abstract: Eggplant is one of the most widely cultivated food commodities in Indonesia. One of them was carried out by "Dawuhan Jaya", the eggplant farmer group in Dawuhan Village, Tenggarang District, Bondowoso Regency,… in which the majority of its members cultivated purple eggplant varieties. All the time, eggplant peel is usually thrown away when the vegetable is consumed. It only becomes unutilized waste. However, it is known that purple eggplant peel has many health benefits, including antibacterial and antioxidant. Therefore, in this service activity, product diversification of eggplant peel was carried out to process it into dish soap, a product that is widely used in households. The method used in the implementation of the activity was the participatory rural appraisal. The service activity aimed to empower the community, especially eggplant farmer group partners. The stages of activities carried out included counseling and training to increase the partner’s knowledge and skills regarding processing purple eggplant peel into high-value products. The next stage was mentoring carried out to determine and ensure the partner’s ability in production and marketing activities independently. This program was expected to be able to utilize purple eggplant by-products and increase people's income. Differences in Growth and Yield Responses of Several Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) Varieties in Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) Interrows

Nazatul Bairia, Hilda Pratiwi, Mizan Maulana
Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the response of several cayenne pepper varieties (Capsicum frutescens L.) on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper cultivated in the cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) alley cropping system. The research… arch was conducted from April to July 2025 at Mon Jambe Village, Jeumpa District, and the Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera Business Research Center, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The experiment employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four varieties as treatments and three replications, resulting in 12 experimental units. The tested varieties were Rajo, Genie, Bara, and Tetra Hijau. Data were collected through observations of plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits, fruit weight, and fresh biomass weight, and were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine differences among treatments. The results showed that the varietal factor had a highly significant effect on leaf number and a significant effect on fruit number and fruit weight. The Bara variety exhibited the most adaptive and productive performance under the cocoa alley cropping system, as indicated by superior vegetative growth and yield compared to other varieties. The novelty of this study lies in emphasizing that varietal selection is a key factor in optimizing the utilization of cocoa alley spaces for cayenne pepper cultivation. These findings are expected to provide a scientific basis for developing cayenne pepper cultivation technologies in cocoa alley systems and to serve as a reference for further research on adaptive variety development under such environmental conditions.
