TOWARDS AN INTEGRATED MODEL OF COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN BUSINESS EDUCATION : THE ROLE OF BILINGUAL COMPETENCY AND PAIR INTERACTION

R, Suhartina
Abstract: Communicative competence has become an essential competency for business education students in response to the growing demands of multilingual, multicultural, and technology-driven workplaces. However, previous studies have… ave generally examined bilingual competency, collaborative learning, and communicative competence as separate constructs, providing limited understanding of their integrated relationships. This study aimed to develop an Integrated Communicative Competence Model for business education through the synthesis of previous empirical studies and recent international literature. A conceptual research design employing an integrative evidence synthesis approach was used to analyse empirical findings on bilingual competency, pair interaction, communicative competence, and professional readiness. The synthesis demonstrates that bilingual competency provides the linguistic and intercultural foundation for effective communication, while pair interaction functions as a collaborative learning mechanism that strengthens authentic communication practices. The interaction of these dimensions enhances communicative competence, which subsequently improves students' professional readiness and graduate employability in multilingual business environments. The proposed model contributes to communication studies by integrating bilingual competency and collaborative learning into a unified conceptual framework and provides practical guidance for curriculum development and communication-oriented learning in business education.

Neurodiversity in Human Resource Management: A Bibliometric Analysis and Research Agenda for Indonesia

Rahmawati, Andi
Abstract: Neurodiversity conceptualizes autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and related cognitive differences as natural variations in human cognition rather than individual deficits. Although this perspective… erspective has gained increasing attention in human resource management (HRM), the intellectual structure and relevance of the existing literature to the Indonesian context remain insufficiently understood. This study maps the development of global research on neurodiversity and HRM and identifies research priorities for Indonesia. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using 993 records retrieved through a Boolean search combining neurodiversity- and HRM-related terms. Following a PRISMA-guided screening process, keyword co-occurrence, density, overlay, and total link-strength analyses were performed using VOSviewer. The analysis identified 43 dominant terms grouped into four thematic clusters: (1) inclusive HRM and diversity management, (2) workplace accommodation and disclosure, (3) intervention and school-to-work transition, and (4) ADHD and occupational mental health. The findings indicate that autism spectrum disorder and ADHD remain the most prominent topics in the literature. The field has gradually shifted from predominantly clinical and educational perspectives in 2020–2021 toward workplace accommodation in 2022 and more strategic HRM-oriented discussions during 2023–2024. However, link-strength analysis reveals that relationships between core HRM concepts and issues of accommodation, disclosure, and occupational mental health remain relatively fragmented. Moreover, Indonesia-specific and developing-country perspectives are absent from the dominant keyword structure. These findings demonstrate a substantial geographical and conceptual research gap. Accordingly, the study proposes five priority research themes to advance neurodiversity-inclusive HRM in Indonesia and provides a foundation for future empirical, policy-oriented, and organizational research.

Dipoatmodjo, Tenri Sayu Puspitaningsih, Burhanuddin, Arif, Hery Maulana
Abstract: The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into organizational systems has transformed workplace dynamics, employee responsibilities, and patterns of human labor. Although AI implementation improves operational… l efficiency and productivity, it also creates psychological and professional challenges for employees adapting to technological change. This study aims to explore the lived experiences, emotional responses, and adaptation strategies of employees in South Sulawesi companies undergoing AI-driven digital transformation. This research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 20 participants from the banking, manufacturing, retail, technology, and service sectors in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Participants were selected using purposive sampling based on direct exposure to AI systems and a minimum of 1.5 years of work experience. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and meanings related to employee adaptation. The findings revealed six major themes: AI as a tool for improving efficiency and productivity, fear of job displacement and career uncertainty, the importance of continuous learning and digital skill development, the role of organizational support and leadership communication, the emergence of human–AI collaboration, and varied psychological responses to technological change. Employees who received organizational support and training demonstrated greater adaptability and confidence in responding to AI implementation. The study emphasizes the importance of human-centered change management strategies that prioritize psychological safety, transparent communication, and continuous digital training. This research contributes to the limited phenomenological literature on AI adaptation in Indonesia and provides practical implications for human resource management and organizational behavior in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and map the development of scientific studies on the influence of motivation and organizational culture on the psychological well-being of employees with job satisfaction as a mediating variable… e through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach combined with bibliometric analysis. The research method uses an SLR approach with the stages of identification, selection, feasibility, and inclusion of articles obtained from various reputable scientific databases. The articles analyzed are international and national journal publications that are relevant to the topics of work motivation, organizational culture, job satisfaction, and employee psychological well-being. Bibliometric analysis was carried out to identify research trends, publication developments, author collaborations, as well as keyword mapping that is often used in related research. The results show that work motivation and organizational culture play an important role in increasing employee job satisfaction, which ultimately contributes to improved psychological well-being in the workplace. Job satisfaction has been shown to function as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between organizational factors and employee psychological conditions. In addition, the results of bibliometric analysis show that research on employee psychological well-being has been growing in recent years with a focus on aspects of a healthy work environment, organizational support, and strategies to improve the quality of work life. The findings of this study provide theoretical and practical implications for the development of human resource management in creating a conducive work environment, increasing employee motivation, and building a positive organizational culture to support the psychological well-being of employees in a sustainable manner.
