ks that suit their interests and preferences, as is the case with children in orphanages. As a response, this community service plays a part in increasing children’s interest in reading. The program we proposed, namely Reading Corner, took place at Imanuel Orphanage in Palangka. The program was carried out by assessing the needs, designing the Reading Corner, and implementing it. Reading Corner serves as a facility for extensive reading at home. Reading Corner allows the children to read various types of books based on their preferences. The result of this program indicated that the children looked enthusiastic about the books as they chose and borrowed the book to read. The closer children are to the books, the more often they will use their time to access and read the books. In line with that, it is expected that the literacy level of Indonesian will increase.

Mengembangkan budaya membaca merupakan bentuk dari penyelenggaraan pendidikan, maka dari itu budaya membaca harus ditanamkan sejak dini pada anak. Namun, tidak semua anak dapat merasakan fasilitas seperti membaca aneka jenis buku bacaan yang sesuai minatnya, seperti halnya anak-anak di panti asuhan. Maka dari itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca pada anak di Panti Asuhan Imanuel Palangka Raya. Program yang dilaksanakan adalah dengan menyediakan fasilitas Reading Corner atau pojok baca. Adapun tahapan kegiatan mencakup pendataan kebutuhan, perancangan, dan pelaksanaan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menghadirkan Reading Corner di panti asuhan guna memberikan akses kepada anak-anak untuk membaca aneka jenis buku yang menarik dan sesuai dengan minat mereka. Respon anak-anak terhadap Reading Corner sangat positif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasme mereka dalam memilih dan meminjam buku bacaan. Diharapakan, semakin dekat anak dengan buku-buku bacaan, maka mereka akan lebih sering menggunakan waktunya untuk mengakses dan membaca buku-buku tersebut. Sejalan dengan itu, kami mengharapkan agar tingkat literasi anak-anak Indonesia semakin meningkat.

It is hoped that the literacy movement that has been implemented in schools can help students improve their literacy skills. However, on the contrary, this movement has not been carried out optimally so that literacy skills are still low. Students' literacy skills are low because students' interest in reading is also low. Therefore, teachers in this case should have creativity in accompanying the implementation of school literacy movement activities. One way to increase students' reading comprehension is by implementing a reading challenge method. In this method, students will be invited to go to the reading corner or library to read books they like. The teacher here supervises or monitors students who are reading. Then, 15 minutes before the lesson starts, students report to the teacher the books they have read. For students who read the most, for example in one month, that student is given a reward. Through this activity, it is hoped that students at the school will be able to increase their interest in reading.

Abstrak: Desa ini terkenal dengan Desa Kampung Pancasila. Namun yang menjadi permasalahan di Desa ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesadaran tentang betapa pentingnya pendidikan di masa depan. Hal ini disebabkan karena padatnya aktivitas orang tua sehari penuh dan setiba di rumah sudah kelelahan membuat kurangnya perhatian terhadap anaknya sehingga terkadang meminta anaknya untuk bekerja bersama mencari penghasilan tambahan keluarga. Maka untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, Tim pengabdi PPK Ormawa UNA menyediakan layanan pengetahuan serta informasi pada pembelajaran non-formal berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat berbentuk buku ataupun non- buku yang ada di pojok- pojok literasi, yang dilengkapi dengan perangkat teknologi informasi, menyediakan layanan informasi dari sumber akses informasi kepada masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan 6 literasi dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah melakukan survei awal, mengidentifikasi potensi daerah dan masalah, menganalisis kebutuhan masyarakat, pembentukan program bersama masyarakat, menetapkan khalayak sasaran, merumuskan indikator keberhasilan program, melaksanakan program, mensosialisasikan dan mempublikasi kepada masyarakat, menyediakan bahan pustaka dan pojok literasi dan mengadakan perlengkapan fasilitas layanan pendidikan non-formal. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menghasilkan 9 pojok literasi di Desa Air Genting yang mengembangkan pembelajaran non-formal berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat serta beroperasinya pojok-pojok literasi dengan program dan kepengurusan yang berbeda-beda.

Corn planting is the most widely produced crop in the world, and corn seed plants are most suitable for planting in high-temperature areas. Especially in Indonesia, corn plants cover more than 100 million hectares, consisting of 70 countries and even 53 developing countries. The tool being socialized is a simple tool that is used with human power by pushing without the use of motorized equipment. In the planting process, the spacing between corn seed plants and the number of corn seeds can be adjusted during the planting process. The vessel or container supplying corn seeds is a hopper located at the top, and a hole is provided at the bottom of the hopper, which is the outlet channel. Thus, the results of this socialization can shorten the time in the corn seed planting process.

The abundant corn straw in the village of Klambir Lima Kebun can be stored and used when there is a shortage of green fodder, such as a long dry season. To maintain the stability of animal feed, it is necessary to optimize local feed technology by processing fermented corn straw and silage which aims to determine the potential of fermented corn straw and silage which can be used as ruminant animal feed and to determine the capacity of livestock from the potential of fermented corn straw and silage in village of Klambir lima Kebun, Hamparan Perak, Deli Serdang. The implementation method used in this community service is a training method which will then be followed by discussions and hands-on practice on the manufacture of fermented corn straw and silage as well as direct feeding of fermented corn straw and silage to livestock. The results of the activity show that the village of Klambir Lima Kebun has the potential to produce ruminant feed based on local agricultural waste, namely corn straw.

Jerami jagung yang melimpah di desa Klambir Lima Kebun dapat disimpan kemudian digunakan pada saat kekurangan pakan penghijauan seperti musim kemarau panjang. Untuk menjaga kestabilan pakan ternak dibutukan optimalisasi teknologi pakan lokal dengan pengolahan jerami jagung fermentasi dan silase yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dari jerami jagung fermentasi dan silase yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak ruminasia dan mengetahui kapasitas tampung ternak dari potensi jerami jagung fermentasi dan silase di desa Klambir lima Kebun, Hamparan Perak, Deli Serdang. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode pelatihan yang selanjutnya akan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi serta praktek langsung tentang pembuatan jerami jagung fermentasi dan silase serta pemberian langsung jerami jagung fermentasi dan silase pada ternak. Hasil kegiatan diketahui bahwa desa Klambir Lima Kebun sangat berpotensi menghasilkan pakan ternak ruminansia berbasis limbah lokal pertanianya yaitu jerami jagung.

This activity aims to improve the skills of local communities in processing corn into antioxidant tea products. The community service activities were carried out in Bualo Village, Biau District, North Gorontalo for 45 days, starting from September 3 to October 18, 2020. The training was carried out by providing education about the use of corn as a basic ingredient for processing and continued with practical activities for making ready-to-brew antioxidant tea. The result of this training activity was an increase in the knowledge of the local community in Bualo Village about the use of corn as a basic material for processing antioxidant tea products along with attractive packaging.

Abstrak: Gorontalo Utara memiliki potensi yang cukup besar terutama pada sektor pertanian. Salah satu sektor pertanian yang menjadi primadona adalah tanaman jagung Meskipun jagung merupakan komoditi populer di kabupaten Gorontalo Utara, pemanfaatan dan diversifikasi produk olahnnya masih tergolong rendah. Rambut jagung mengandung antioksidan yang salah satunya dapat dikembangkan menjadi produk teh. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat lokal dalam mengolah jagung menjadi produk teh antioksidan. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di desa Bualo, Kecamatan Biau, Gorontalo Utara selama 45 hari, mulai dari tanggal 3 September hingga 18 Oktober 2020. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi tentang pemanfaatan jagung sebagai bahan dasar pengolahan dan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan praktik pembuatan teh antioksidan siap seduh. Masyarakat Desa Bualo telah memiliki keterampilan tambahan dalam membuat produk teh antioksidan dengan kemasan yang menarik sebagai produk inovasi dalam rangka meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat lokal.

This is compounded by the very strict working hours that leave workers no time to utilize the blessing as additional income. In dealing with this situation, breeding catfish using tarpaulin method is likely the most appropriate alternative solution for the locals to earn more income without having to leave their main job as factory workers. This is possible as the catfish cultivation using tarpaulin method is effortless and does not consume much time to manage it. Moreover, with the annual increase in demand for catfish consumption in the surrounding regions as well as competitive selling prices (ranging from IDR14,000 to IDR17,000 per kilogram) making tarpaulin cultivation of catfish solution for the locals in Dukuh Rejosari. The method used in this service was socialization by providing outreach and training from the catfish cultivation expert. The result shows that villagers are enlightened to have a new source of income in the midst of busyness working as laborers.

Abstrak: Berlokasi di kaki gunung Merbabu, Dukuh Rejosari dianugerahi dengan pemandangan yang indah, cuaca yang sejuk, dan lahan yang subur untuk bercocok tanam seperti kopi, teh, jagung, dan tembakau. Namun hal belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal oleh para penduduk dikarenakan kesibukan mereka sebagai pekerja buruh harian yang bergantung pada upah pabrik. Hal ini diperparah dengan jam kerja yang sangat padat membuat para pekerja tidak memiliki waktu lebih untuk memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai tambahan penghasilan. Dalam menghadapi situasi tersebut, pengembangbiakan ikan lele dengan menggunakan terpal merupakan solusi alternatif yang paling tepat guna memberi para penduduk penghasilan lebih tanpa harus meninggalkan pekerjaan utama mereka sebagai buruh pabrik. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena budidaya lele terpal sangat mudah dilakukan dan tidak memerlukan banyak waktu untuk merawatnya. Juga, dengan peningkatan tahunan permintaan ikan lele konsumsi di daerah sekitar serta harga jual yang kompetitif (berkisar Rp. 14.000,- – Rp. 17.000,- per kilogram) menjadikan budidaya ternak lele terpal sebagai alternatif paling ideal untuk memberikan tambahan penghasilan kepada masyarakat Dukuh Rejosari. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sosialisasi dengan memberikan pelatihan dari pembudidaya lele terpal berpengalaman. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu masyarakat mendapatkan kesempatan untuk membentuk sumber pendapatan baru ditengah-tengah kesibukan bekerja sebagai buruh pabrik.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi para peternak konvensional khusunya peternak di Desa Kota Pari, yaitu kendala dalam melakukan promosi diluar daerah baik luar Desa maupun luar provinsi. Pada proses jual beli konvensional peran serta tengkulak juga berpengaruh, sehingga mengakibatkan harga ternak menjadi murah untuk peternak dan menjadi sangat mahal untuk pembeli. Kondisi ternak juga menjadi menurun dikarekan setres dan makannya tidak terjaga pada saat dipasarkan di pasar ternak tradisional. Proses pengangkutan juga menjadi mahal jika ternak tidak laku dipasar ternak. Aplikasi Marketpalce hewan qurban dan aqikah berbasis website mengatasi semua permasalahan penjualan konvensional. Aplikasi yang dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemprogram PHP dan database MySQL. Apilkasi marketplace hewan qurban dan aqikah berbasis website menjadikan penghubung peternak kambing dan sapi di desa Kota Pari dengan pembeli yang dapat dijangkau dari berbagai daerah dan seluruh penjuru dunia. Pada Aplikasi juga di sediakan berbagai jenis qurban dan aqikah, baik pembelian hewan qurban dan aqikah seperti biasa ataupun pilihan paket qurban dan aqikah yang sudha dimasak oleh penjual. Sehingga aplikasi yang dibangun memudahkan penjual dan pembeli hewan qurban dan aqikah.

Abstrak: Penggunaan masih cara yang tradisional dengan mencoba bibit jagung yang di tanam oleh para petani di Tanjungbalai di Kabupaten Asahan. Petani akan memilih bibit jagung yang waktu tanamnya cepat, namun akan memiliki menghasilkan yang kurang baik pada ukuran buah mengakibatkan hasil produksi menjadi kurang memuaskan. Akibatnya timbul suatu masalah yang akan terjadi dengan tidak adanya penentuan sejumlah kriteria yang bisa mendapatkan bibit jagung yang berkualitas. Para petani kurang paham dengan penggunaan teknologi dalam mendapatkan bibit jagung yang bagus. Hal ini diperlukan penggunaan sistem yang mampu menjawab dan memberikan solusi dalam pemilihan bibit jagung menggunakan sejumlah kriteria dan alternatif bibit jagung unggul. Penelitian ini menggunakan sistem pendukung keputusan metode AHP dengan perbandingan kriteria dan alternatif pada pemilihan bibit jagung yang unggul dalam menghasilkan sebuah alternatif yang terbaik.
