Abstract:The purpose of this study is to describe how local factors affect the practice of religious moderation in Pejambon Village, Negeri Katon District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province. The primary focus of this research lies…
ies in the role of local leadership in internalizing and implementing the four main pillars of religious moderation, namely national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodation to local culture in the lives of rural communities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method. Data collection techniques were done through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The research procedure refers to six stages of case studies according to Robert K. Yin, while the informants were selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data is analyzed through pattern matching, explanation creation, and time series analysis. The study results show that local leadership plays a significant role in contextually building a narrative of moderation through example, deliberation, and social participation. The practice of moderation is not conveyed through formal instruction alone. Still, it is culturally shaped through social interaction, interfaith activities, and strengthening local values that align with national principles. Leadership prioritizing social awareness, openness, and inclusivity has maintained social cohesion and enhanced inter-religious harmony in a pluralistic village. These findings contribute to developing a theory of local leadership based on the values of religious moderation at the grassroots level.
Abstract:This study aims to evaluate the strategic development of the government grant program for goat farming groups in Kediri Regency through a SWOT analysis approach. The program, launched in 2022, serves as an economic empowerment…
erment initiative to support small-scale farmers by increasing livestock populations and improving rural welfare. Data were collected using a descriptive quantitative method through in-depth interviews with program managers and grant recipients, supported by direct field observations. The Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices were used to determine the program’s strategic position, while the Cartesian SWOT diagram identified the appropriate development quadrant. The results show that the program is situated in Quadrant II, indicating strong internal conditions but significant external threats. With IFE and EFE scores of 2.9252 and 3,1333 respectively, the analysis suggests that the program should implement Strength–Threat (S-T) strategies, including consistent quarterly reporting, increased technical staff, and public reinforcement of the program’s catalytic function. These findings are expected to guide the formulation of more effective strategies for sustainable livestock empowerment in Kediri Regency.
Abstract:This study examines food security, food self-sufficiency, and self-sufficiency in South Sulawesi in 2024, focusing on the province's main food commodities, distribution issues, and the impact of government policies. The…
research analyzes the gap between food production and demand, identifying key commodities such as rice, corn, and soybeans. By evaluating the availability, accessibility, and affordability of these staple foods, the study investigates how local agricultural practices, infrastructure, and external factors like climate change and market volatility affect food security in the region. The findings reveal significant challenges in meeting the demand for rice and soybeans, despite the province's ability to achieve a surplus in corn production. The methodology employed in this study involves both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Primary data was gathered through field surveys, interviews with local farmers, agricultural experts, and policymakers, as well as secondary data from government reports, agricultural statistics, and market analyses. A comparative analysis was conducted to examine trends in food production, consumption patterns, and price fluctuations over the past five years. The study also incorporated geographic information system (GIS) mapping to assess the distribution of agricultural resources and the effectiveness of existing infrastructure in connecting farmers to markets. The findings suggest that despite the province's agricultural potential, South Sulawesi continues to face challenges in achieving full food self-sufficiency. The study recommends a multifaceted approach to addressing food insecurity and achieving food self-sufficiency, including improving rural infrastructure, adopting modern agricultural technologies, and diversifying food crops.

Abstract:The aim of this research is to evaluate the PBB P2 acceptance procedures at the Merauke Regency Bapenda based on the government's internal control system policy. The type of research used is qualitative research with a…
descriptive approach and data obtained through interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that internal control at the Regional Revenue Agency of Merauke Regency in the procedures for receiving Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax is implemented well because there are several components that are optimal, namely in the control environment where the registration, data collection and functional human resources are there so that there are multiple tasks. , risk assessment where the Merauke Regency Bapenda is still carrying out passive data collection due to a lack of functional assessors, and a lack of monitoring of PBB P2 collection which has not fully carried out direct monitoring of taxpayers so that there are still many taxpayers who have not carried out their obligations in paying PBB P2. In other cases, officers have not implemented the SOP in implementing the PBB P2 collection system. It cannot be denied that this is very important for tax officers and taxpayers to follow in order to ensure that the PBB collection process runs smoothly and transparently in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.
Abstract:This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of fulfilling citizens' rights within the public administration system in Merauke Regency, South Papua. The focus of the study is on services related to civil administration,…
on, healthcare, education, and licensing, as well as the challenges encountered in accessing these services, particularly in remote rural areas. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies. The informants include citizens using public services, government officials, and community leaders.
The findings reveal a significant disparity in access and quality of services between urban and rural areas in Merauke. Residents in remote areas face various challenges, such as limited infrastructure, a shortage of healthcare workers and teachers, as well as geographical barriers that delay the fulfillment of their basic rights, particularly in healthcare, education, and civil administration services. The digitization of services is also uneven, as limited internet access in rural areas hampers licensing services.
Based on these findings, the study proposes a new theory, Geographically Adaptive Public Service, which emphasizes the importance of adapting public services to local geographical and socio-cultural conditions. This theory offers a more flexible and innovative approach to public service delivery in remote areas, aiming to ensure the equitable fulfillment of citizens' rights. In conclusion, service innovation and a more adaptive approach are needed to improve the quality of public services in Merauke Regency, particularly in reaching communities in hard-to-access areas.

Abstract:Twenty-first-century science education requires students not only to master scientific concepts but also to possess critical thinking skills to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems logically. The reality in schools indicates…
cates that science learning is still frequently teacher-centered, resulting in students’ conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills not being optimally developed. This study aimed to determine the relationship between conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills among eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri Karoaipi on the topic of the human respiratory system. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The research sample consisted of 25 students selected through a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using descriptive tests of conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills, while data analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics, normality testing, and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The findings revealed that students’ conceptual understanding was categorized as good, with a mean score of 77.36, while critical thinking skills were also categorized as good, with a mean score of 78.76. Regression analysis demonstrated a correlation coefficient of 0.045 and an R Square value of 0.002, indicating that the relationship between conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills was classified as very low. These findings suggest that critical thinking skills are influenced not only by conceptual mastery but also by learning strategies, problem-solving experiences, analytical activities, and student engagement during science learning. The novelty of this study lies in the empirical finding that strong conceptual mastery does not necessarily correspond to high critical thinking skills among junior high school students in rural schools, particularly on the topic of the human respiratory system.
