Risnawati, Tutik Agustini, Nur Wahyuni Munir
Abstract: Appendicitis is an acute inflammatory condition of the appendix that requires prompt surgical intervention and comprehensive perioperative nursing care to prevent complications. This study aims to describe the application… n of perioperative pain management in a patient with appendicitis at UPT RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar. A descriptive case study design is employed using a perioperative nursing care approach covering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. The subject is a 44-year-old male patient diagnosed with appendicitis who undergoes appendectomy. Data are collected through interviews, observation, physical examination, and documentation, with pain assessed using the Numeric Rating Scale. Nursing interventions focus on non-pharmacological pain management, including deep breathing relaxation in the preoperative phase and Benson relaxation therapy in the postoperative phase. The results show a decrease in pain intensity and anxiety before surgery, effective control of intraoperative bleeding, and gradual reduction of postoperative pain accompanied by improved tissue integrity and patient knowledge. This case study demonstrates that appropriate non-pharmacological nursing interventions effectively support perioperative pain management and enhance patient recovery in appendicitis cases.

Abstract: Stroke is a condition in which brain function is rapidly disrupted and lasts for more than 24 hours due to an interruption of blood flow to the brain. Globally, the incidence and morbidity rates of stroke continue to increase.… rease. The quality of life of acute and chronic stroke patients is influenced by post-stroke depression. Community resources (CR) and spiritual religious coping (SRC) factors are also related to the coping adaptation strategies of family caregivers for members who have experienced a stroke. Patients who experience post-stroke depression show a lower quality of life one year after stroke compared to those who do not experience it. This study is a quantitative research with an observational study design. The study was conducted from January to March 2024 in Kotamobagu City. The total population of stroke patients distributed across seven community health centers in Tomohon City is 200 patients. The sample was taken using total sampling method consisting of 200 family caregivers. The results were then analyzed using the Chi Square test with SPSS. All variables were significantly related to the coping adaptation strategies of family caregivers for members who had a stroke. Community resources (CR) were significantly related to caregiver coping strategies (p = 0.025), and spiritual religious coping (SRC) was also significantly related to coping strategies (p = 0.032). Community resources and spiritual religious coping among family caregivers of post-stroke patients are needed to increase motivation and reduce caregiver stress..

Hubungan Kadar Hemoglobin terhadap Saturasi Oksigen pada Pasien Rawat Inap Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis (PPOK) Eksaserbasi Akut di RSUD dr. Suhatman Mars Kota Dumai

Octariany, Surya Arfa
Abstract: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive chronic respiratory disease that has become a global health concern due to its high morbidity and mortality rates and its impact on patients’ quality of life.… e. In acute exacerbation conditions, impaired oxygenation becomes a major problem that may be influenced by various factors, including hemoglobin levels as the primary component of oxygen transport in the blood. However, the relationship between hemoglobin levels and oxygen saturation in patients with acute exacerbation COPD remains inconsistent, particularly in populations exposed to high environmental risk factors. This study aimed to determine the relationship between hemoglobin levels and oxygen saturation in patients with acute exacerbation COPD hospitalized at RSUD dr. Suhatman MARS Dumai, Kota Dumai. This research employed an analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach involving 73 patients selected through total sampling based on medical record data. Bivariate analysis using the Spearman correlation test showed no significant relationship between hemoglobin levels and oxygen saturation (r = 0.098; p = 0.412), indicating a very weak and statistically insignificant correlation. The study concluded that hemoglobin levels do not directly influence the oxygenation status of patients with acute exacerbation COPD, where impaired oxygenation is more strongly affected by respiratory factors such as ventilation-perfusion imbalance and structural lung damage. The novelty of this study lies in its empirical evidence demonstrating the limited role of hemoglobin as a predictor of oxygenation in patients with acute exacerbation COPD within a population with specific environmental characteristics, thereby providing a basis for developing more comprehensive clinical approaches in monitoring and managing COPD patients.

DIAGNOSING ANDROID-BASED VIRUS INFECTIONS IN CHILDREN USING NAIVE BAYES

KH, Musliadi, Kaharuddin, Kaharuddin, Syafrinal, Ilwan
Abstract: Abstract: Infectious diseases are one of the most common health problems in children because they have immature immune systems. Children are more susceptible to infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa.… . Some common infectious diseases in children include fever, acute respiratory infections (ARI), pneumonia, acute gastroenteritis (GAE), measles, chickenpox, and diphtheria. The limited number of pediatricians and the difficulty of accessing health facilities in remote areas hinder children's health services. To overcome this, an Android-based expert system is needed using the Naïve Bayes method to help diagnose infectious diseases in children earlier. The research method used is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), where Black Box is used for internal testing, and PSSUQ is used to measure user satisfaction. The data set used was 1320 taken from a local hospital. The test results show that all the main features work as expected without any errors. The implementation of the system in diagnosing diseases went well and based on end-user feedback from 74 respondents, the system obtained a user satisfaction score of 6.40, where users felt that the system was easy to use, efficient, and provided clear and useful information.
