Abstract:Febrile seizures are a common emergency in children aged 6 months to 5 years and can cause significant anxiety in parents. Proper early management of febrile seizures largely depends on parent's knowledge as the primary…
caregivers. Inadequate knowledge may lead to inappropriate first aid measures that can worsen the child's condition. This research aims to identify the level of parent's knowledge regarding first aid management for children experiencing febrile seizures in Sei Mencirim. This study uses a descriptive design method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study are all parents who brought their children for treatment to the Sei Mencirim Community Health Center in the last three months, wiht a sample of 36 respondents taken using an accidental sampling technique. The research instrument is a questionnaire consisting of 25 questions. Data analysis was carried out univariately to describe the level of respondents' knowledge. The results of the study show that parental knowledge based on the management of febrile seizures, parents have a good level of knowledge of 55.6%. Based on the administration during seizures, parental knowledge is in the sufficient category of 38.9%. Based on the administration of medication from the hospital after the child is treated, parental knowledge is in the good category off 66.7%. Based on information about seizures, parental knowledge is in the good category of 75.0%. concluded that the level of parental knowledge about first aid for children experiencing febrile is in the good category of 80.5%.
Abstract:This study aims to Test Wastewater Quality Using the Mpn (Most Probable Number) Method to Detect Total COLIFORM Bacteria. This study uses laboratory analysis, which aims to provide an overview of the microbiological quality…
ity of wastewater based on the presence and number of Coliform bacteria. The working principle of the Most Probable Number (MPN) method in detecting total Coliform bacteria in wastewater is carried out semi-quantitatively by detecting microbial growth through lactose fermentation which produces gas or turbidity in selective liquid media. The implementation procedure includes a presumptive test stage using Lactose Broth (LB) media, a confirmatory test with Brilliant Green Lactose Bile Broth (BGLB) media, and determining the final value by matching the combination of positive tubes with the standard MPN table. From the results of laboratory testing on three domestic wastewater samples (1224 AL, 1225 AL, and 1226 AL), it was found that all samples showed negative results with a combination of 0-0-0 tubes in the presumptive test. This indicates that the tested sample does not contain Total Coliform bacteria or has a value of less than 1000 MPN/100 mL, so that its microbiological quality is declared very good and has met the quality standard threshold set by the government through the Minister of Environment Regulation No. 5 of 2014 and PP RI No. 22 of 2021
Abstract:A wound is an injury where the skin is torn, cut or punctured, or a blunt force trauma causes a contusion. The use of honey as a wound treatment has been widely used, but the comparison of accelerated wound healing using…
three types of honey originating from Indonesia is not yet known. From the results of the study that on days 1 to 7 the MD-NTT group could reduce exudate weight better than the MD-JW, MD-KLM, and K-MD. The conclusion in this study is that the use of honey originating from NTT can be an alternative to healing acute wounds infected with bacteria.
Abstract:Processing leaves to make compost is generally still done by chopping using a machete, or many are not chopped, making it difficult for the leaves to decompose or rot. This research aims to determine the results of chopping…
ing using a single blade and by varying the size of the blade and varying the rotation speed of the machine. The benefit of this research is to determine the influence of leaf chopper machine components, especially the number of leaf chopper blades, using descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection methods, literature studies and observations. The research location is in the HKBP Nommensen University Laboratory workshop, Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra. The research process took the form of testing carried out in several stages, namely using a single blade by varying the length of the blade and varying the rotation speed of the machine to compare the speed and chopping results. Three trials were carried out each with varying blade lengths of 30cm, 35cm and 40cm and rotation variations of 2500rpm, 3000rpm and 5000rpm. The results are in the form of a comparison of speed and counting results between variations of 30cm, 35cm and 40cm. The test results more effectively lead to variations in blade size of 40cm. And the results of testing the engine rotation speed which is more effective leads to a rotation speed variation of 5000rpm.
Abstract:This paper discusses the use of Language Metafunction in a Tanjungbalai Malay language song “Angin Koncang (High Wind)”. This research aims to identify the ideology of the song as portrayed through words and action of the…
f the protagonist in this song. This research focused on every single word in the lyric. The study used qualitative and descriptive methods. The data collection was obtained from smule.com. The data was analyzed by using Language Metafunction theory by Halliday’s Ideational, Interpersonal, and Textual Meaning. The results of the research show that three dominant processes of language can be found are Material Process, Relational Process, and Mental Process; with the first mentioned being the dominant one. Also, by analyzing the lyric, it can be concluded that the ideology of the song is to promote an ideology of pragmatic survival and functional relationships
Abstract:This study investigates the rhetorical and discourse functions of repetition in the English translation of Surah Al-Mursalat by M.A.S. Abdel Haleem, focusing on the refrain “Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.”…
h.” Using a qualitative descriptive method grounded in stylistics and discourse analysis, the study explores how this fixed phrase, repeated ten times across the chapter, operates at multiple linguistic levels. The analysis reveals that the refrain serves three interrelated functions: stylistically, it foregrounds divine warning and creates rhythmic cohesion; structurally, it segments the surah into thematic units and signals discourse boundaries; rhetorically, it intensifies condemnation and engages the reader emotionally through cumulative repetition. Abdel Haleem’s consistent rendering of the refrain retains these functions effectively, unlike other translations that introduce lexical variation. The findings demonstrate that repetition in Qur’anic translation is not merely ornamental but performs essential linguistic and communicative roles. This study contributes to Qur’anic stylistics, translation studies, and discourse analysis by showing that sacred texts, when translated with rhetorical sensitivity, can preserve the stylistic integrity of the original.
