Neurodiversity in Human Resource Management: A Bibliometric Analysis and Research Agenda for Indonesia

Rahmawati, Andi
Abstract: Neurodiversity conceptualizes autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and related cognitive differences as natural variations in human cognition rather than individual deficits. Although this perspective… erspective has gained increasing attention in human resource management (HRM), the intellectual structure and relevance of the existing literature to the Indonesian context remain insufficiently understood. This study maps the development of global research on neurodiversity and HRM and identifies research priorities for Indonesia. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using 993 records retrieved through a Boolean search combining neurodiversity- and HRM-related terms. Following a PRISMA-guided screening process, keyword co-occurrence, density, overlay, and total link-strength analyses were performed using VOSviewer. The analysis identified 43 dominant terms grouped into four thematic clusters: (1) inclusive HRM and diversity management, (2) workplace accommodation and disclosure, (3) intervention and school-to-work transition, and (4) ADHD and occupational mental health. The findings indicate that autism spectrum disorder and ADHD remain the most prominent topics in the literature. The field has gradually shifted from predominantly clinical and educational perspectives in 2020–2021 toward workplace accommodation in 2022 and more strategic HRM-oriented discussions during 2023–2024. However, link-strength analysis reveals that relationships between core HRM concepts and issues of accommodation, disclosure, and occupational mental health remain relatively fragmented. Moreover, Indonesia-specific and developing-country perspectives are absent from the dominant keyword structure. These findings demonstrate a substantial geographical and conceptual research gap. Accordingly, the study proposes five priority research themes to advance neurodiversity-inclusive HRM in Indonesia and provides a foundation for future empirical, policy-oriented, and organizational research.

Beyond The Hype: a Real World Evaluation of Blockchain's Role in Democratizing Agri Food Systems

Dzreke, Simon Suwanzy
Abstract: Blockchain technology is touted for democratizing supply chains, but 30–40% of smallholder farmers are excluded from fair market participation due to information gaps and power imbalances. The first complete empirical examination… examination of blockchain's capacity to empower disadvantaged farmers in Global South agri-food systems. The paper examines 15 large-scale implementations, including Kenyan coffee cooperatives and Indian dairy collectives, using a rigorous mixed-methods methodology. Technical scalability in resource-limited situations, governance structures that promote meaningful multi-stakeholder engagement, and quantifiable inclusion results for small-scale farmers are thoroughly examined. Comparative case study, agent-based adoption modeling, and quasi-experimental effect evaluation by Propensity Score matching reveal that blockchain's potential is not automatic nor inherent in eight nations. Techno-institutional synergy, not technological complexity, improves democracy, the research shows. Hybrid governance systems with farmer-controlled validator nodes and tokenized decision-making rights enhanced smallholder involvement by 58% and premium retention by 78% over corporate-controlled systems. However, technologically sophisticated deployments without institutional expertise frequently increase power concentration and exclusion. The blockchain viability index helps identify optimal deployment conditions for different commodities, empirical evidence challenges the idea that decentralization automatically promotes inclusion, and the inclusion-by-design framework helps policymakers embed equitable principles into decentralized agri-tech from the start. This study shows food system digitization practitioners and scholars that genuine democratization occurs when technology drives institutional transformation.

SIPAKATAU: SINERGI PANGAN LOKAL DAN AKTIVITAS FISIK UNTUK MENCEGAH PENYAKIT TIDAK MENULAR

Asikin, Hijrah, Sirajuddin, Ihsan, Fitriah
Abstract: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) remain a major health problem in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City, with high rates of obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, and metabolic disorders. These problems are influenced by… y an unbalanced diet, low consumption of local foods, and a lack of physical activity. The SIPAKATAU (Synergy of Local Food and Physical Activity) programme was designed to address these issues through nutritional education, my plate demonstrations, physical activity, and the use of locally sourced, easily accessible food to the community. The activities were carried out over a month in Paccerakkang and Berua villages, involving 24 participants, health cadres, and the Paccerakkang community health centre. The intervention included pre-tests, interactive education, hands-on practice, physical activity monitoring, and health checks before and after the activities. The results showed an increase in knowledge from 50% to 75% in the good category, increased implementation of My Plate, and 75% of participants had sufficient physical activity. Health indicators showed improvement, particularly in cholesterol (normal levels increased from 1 to 7 individuals) and uric acid (100% normal). Blood sugar levels showed improvement, while blood pressure and nutritional status required longer-term intervention. The SIPAKATAU programme proved effective in improving community nutrition and health behaviours and is recommended as a model for community-based NCD prevention.

CORPORATE CRISIS COMMUNICATION IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: A LITERATURE REVIEW ON STRATEGIC ADAPTATION AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

Kartikawati, Dwi, Dian Metha Ariyanti, Purnomo
Abstract: This study explores the dynamics of corporate crisis communication in the digital age, with a particular focus on the role of social media platforms in shaping organizational strategies. Using a qualitative approach and… library research method, the research systematically reviews academic literature, industry reports, and documented case studies to understand how corporations respond to crises in a hyper-connected environment. The study highlights how traditional theories such as Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) and Image Repair Theory (IRT) must be adapted to meet the demands of real-time, interactive, and ethically sensitive digital spaces. Through comparative analysis of successful and failed crisis responses—including global cases such as United Airlines and local cases such as Tokopedia—the research reveals that timely, transparent, and empathetic communication on social media significantly influences public perception and corporate reputation recovery. The findings emphasize that a well-designed digital crisis strategy must integrate technical responsiveness with human-centric values to restore trust and sustain long-term relationships with stakeholders. Keywords : crisis communication, corporate strategy, social media, digital reputation

Rauzatul Jannah, Putra, Yadi, Andriani, Irma
Abstract: Hypertension is a chronic condition characterized by increased blood pressure on the artery walls, which can lead to serious complications such as stroke, kidney failure, and heart disease. This study aimed to determine… the effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques on lowering blood pressure in elderly people in Bate Linteng and Lambunot Villages, Aceh Besar. This quantitative study used a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest. The study was conducted from August 26 to August 31, 2024, with a population and sample of 16 elderly respondents with a history of hypertension. Data collection was conducted through observation using an observation sheet and the provision of deep breathing relaxation techniques. The results showed that the average blood pressure before the intervention was 148/90 mmHg with a standard deviation of 9.674, while after the intervention, it decreased to 143/87 mmHg with a standard deviation of 9.050. The statistical test results using the Paired Sample t-Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect between deep breathing relaxation techniques and blood pressure reduction. The results of this study are expected to provide information for hypertension sufferers and their families that deep breathing relaxation techniques are a form of non-pharmacological therapy that can be performed independently to control blood pressure.

RECONSTRUCTING SOCIAL PIETY: OVERCOMING THE HYPER-INDEPENDENCE OF GENERATION Z PERSPECTIVE OF AL-QUR'AN SURAH AL-MA'UN

Muh. Alimin, Syamsul Ma’arif Ilyas, Ahmad Tri Muslim HD, Harel Bayu Paizin, Ratnah Umar
Abstract: This research aims to deconstruct the phenomenon of hyper-independence that massively affects Generation Z within the contemporary digital ecosystem. As digital natives, Generation Z often falls into the trap of extreme… self-reliance, which is regarded as a personal achievement but sociologically triggers the disintegration of social capital and societal atomization. The primary issue raised is how technological independence paradoxically creates emotional distance and social apathy toward real-world suffering. Utilizing a qualitative method based on library research and a Social Interpretation (al-tafsir al-ijtima’i) approach, this study positions Surah Al-Ma’un as a theological framework to address this solidarity crisis. The analysis is conducted by creating a dialogue between the Quranic text and digital sociological theories regarding social ties and atomization. The results show that Surah Al-Ma’un offers a radical critique of "religious individualism" by categorizing those who separate prayer rituals from social sensitivity as deniers of the faith. This study finds novelty in the reinterpretation of the term al-ma'un, which in the digital era is no longer limited to simple material aid but has transformed into "collaborative assets" encompassing information literacy, emotional support, and digital resource accessibility for marginalized groups. The research formulates the Inclusive Social Piety model, which integrates three main pillars: spiritual interconnection awareness, digital altruism, and empowering independence. This model functions as a solution to transform the narcissistic "I" paradigm into a collaborative "We" paradigm. In conclusion, the internalization of Al-Ma’un's values acts as a bridge between the personal advancement of Generation Z and their collective responsibility, serving as a basis for character strengthening in Islamic higher education to remain functional and responsive to human problems in the era of disruption.

THE EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF A POLYPILL (ANTIHYPERTENSIVE, STATIN, ± ASPIRIN) FOR THE PRIMARY PREVENTION OF MAJOR ADVERSE CARDIOVASCULAR EVENTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS

Warham, Jonea Octavien Wijaya, Widya Aulia, Sammy Samuel, Bram Adhitama
Abstract: Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the predominant cause of global mortality. Polypill techniques that integrate various cardiovascular drugs into a single formulation have emerged as a potential method… thod for primary prevention, especially in intermediate-risk populations. Objective: To systematically review and synthesize evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of polypill formulations (comprising antihypertensive medications, statins, with or without aspirin) in comparison to standard care or placebo for the primary prevention of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk populations. Methods: We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis in accordance with PRISMA 2020 standards (Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO CRD420251184718). Various databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus) were examined for original research published from January 2015 to October 2024. Studies were eligible if they assessed polypill therapies in individuals aged 30 to 70 years with intermediate cardiovascular risk (10-20% 10-year risk), reported composite major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) outcomes, and included a minimum follow-up of 6 months. Two independent reviewers conducted screening, data extraction, and risk of bias evaluation utilizing the Cochrane RoB 2.0 tool. Results: Of the 161 records discovered, 4 randomized controlled studies (HOPE-3, TIPS-3, PolyIran, PolyPars) with 31,501 people fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Polypill therapies showed a substantial decrease in composite MACE relative to control groups (pooled HR 0.67 (95% CI 0.60-0.75, p<0.001). Individual trial hazard ratios varied from 0.50 (PolyPars) to 0.66 (PolyIran) and 0.79 (TIPS-3) with moderate heterogeneity (I²=35.2%, p=0.20). Polypills were generally well- tolerated, with a safety profile consistent with the individual components. Medication adherence was enhanced with the polypill in comparison to multiple-pill regimens. Conclusions: Polypill techniques markedly reduce major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk patients for primary cardiovascular prevention, achieving around a 33% relative risk reduction. The fixed-dose combination strategy provides benefits in compliance and ease of use. These findings hold significant implications for healthcare systems in low-to- middle-income nations, such as Indonesia, where the burden of cardiovascular disease is substantial and access to long-term cardiovascular drugs is frequently hindered by cost and complexity.
