DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRIKUDA BUSINESS MODEL AS AN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCE TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC VALUE USING THE BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS APPROACH

Abstract: The global demand for energy continues to increase alongside population growth and rapid industrial development, while dependence on fossil fuels remains high. This presents challenges related to environmental degradation,… n, carbon emissions, and concerns over long-term energy availability. Biomass-based alternative energy has emerged as one of the strategic solutions to support sustainable energy transitions, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. One potential biomass source that remains underutilized is horse manure, which can be processed into briquettes known as Brikuda. This study aims to analyze the potential of Brikuda as an alternative energy source and to develop a sustainable business model using the Business Model Canvas (BMC). A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, direct observations, and analysis of secondary data. The findings reveal that Brikuda has strong potential as a renewable fuel due to the abundant availability of horse manure in Bandar Lampung. It offers economic benefits, reduces environmental pollution, and supports local empowerment. The Business Model Canvas analysis shows that farmers and livestock breeders are the primary customer segments, while the value proposition emphasizes affordability, environmental friendliness, and ease of use. The study concludes that the Brikuda business model can enhance local economic value, promote sustainable waste management, and serve as a feasible alternative energy innovation. The research contributes to the development of renewable energy entrepreneurship and provides a reference for policy formulation in promoting local-based bioenergy initiatives.

RECLAMATION OF FORMER COAL MINING LAND AT THE NORTHERN PIT OF CV. SEMOGA SURYA SENTOSA, SELUANG RIVER, SAMBOJA, EAST KALIMANTAN

Abstract: The rehabilitation of post-mining land with low nutrient content is carried out using chemical and organic materials. To improve soil fertility, the application of fertilizers is required. Soil fertility is crucial as a… medium for plant growth to enable replanting. Once the planting medium is available, it is then cultivated with plants suitable for the land conditions. The methodology of this study involved observing land conditions by examining soil structure, texture, and pH in the research area. The results showed that the soil texture belongs to the sandy clay loam or clay loam class, with a soil pH of 3.72. Soil improvement was carried out by applying dolomite lime at 100 grams per planting hole, requiring a total of 66.7 kilograms. Goat manure was applied at 2 kilograms per planting hole, with a total requirement of 133.4 kilograms for 667 trees. The tree species planted were Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) and Trembesi (Samanea saman).

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Pemanfaatan Limbah KOHE Ternak Kambing sebagai Media Tanam

Abstract: Goat waste has many benefits for plants. Many residents of Grabagan Village have goats as livestock, so goat droppings are often found in the Grabagan Village Tuban settlement. This Community Service aims to empower the… community to use goat dung as a planting medium in Grabagan village. Piles of goat droppings can cause air pollution which can disrupt residents' activities. One of solutions to reducing goat waste is to use it as a planting medium. The method used is the ABCD method (Asset Based Community Development). Community service activities were carried out in Grabagan village with participants from 30 PKK women and 20 students from UPT SDN I Grabagan. Training activities involve participants in direct practice in making planting media. Increased knowledge of participants regarding understanding planting media from goat manure, namely from the first meeting 60% to 90% at the second meeting. Monitoring carried out after the training activity revealed that 45% of the participants practiced the utilization and use of goat dung planting media in their homes. Apart from residents' homes, planting media is also used for the toga corner in the Grabaga village hall. Warga Desa Grabagan banyak yang memiliki hewan ternak kambing sehingga kotoran kambing banyak ditemukan di pemukiman Desa Grabagan Tuban. Kotoran kambing yang menumpuk bisa menimbulkan polusi udara sehingga menganggu aktivitas warga. Salah satu solusi mengurangi limbah kotoran kambing dapat digunakan sebagai media tanam. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan kotoran kambing sebagai media tanam di desa Grabagan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di desa Grabagan dengan peserta dari 30 ibu-ibu PKK dan 20 siswa dari UPT SDN I Grabagan. Kegiatan pelatihan melibatkan peserta untuk praktik langsung untuk membuat media tanam. Peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang pemahaman media tanam dari kotoran kambing yaitu dari pertemuan pertama 60% menjadi 90% pada pertemuan kedua. Monitoring yang dilakukan setelah kegiatan pelatihan diketahui bahwa terdapat 45% dari peserta yang mempraktikkan dalam pemanfaatan dan penggunaan media tanam dari kotoran kambing di rumah mereka. The Effect Of Giving Manure Type Growth Regulators On The Vegetative Phase Of Chili Plants (Capsicum Frutescens)

Abstract: Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a horticultural commodity with high economic value and continuously increasing market demand. The success of cayenne pepper production is largely determined by vegetative growth… in the early stages, which is influenced by the availability of nutrients and plant growth regulators. The use of manure as a source of organic matter and natural Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) is expected to enhance vegetative growth. This study aimed to determine the effect of manure application and natural PGRs on the vegetative growth of cayenne pepper and to identify the treatment that produces the best growth.The research was conducted from December to January 2026 at the land of the Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera Business Research Center, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a 4 × 3 pattern and three replications. The first factor was the dosage of manure consisting of 0 kg (control), 1 kg, 1.5 kg, and 2 kg per plant. The second factor was the type of natural PGR, consisting of shallot extract, rice water, and coconut water. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, and number of branches at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting (DAP). Data were analyzed using the F-test and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at a 5% significance level if the results were significant.The results showed that manure application had no significant effect on all vegetative growth parameters up to 45 DAP. The application of natural PGRs also showed no significant effect at 15, 30, and 45 DAP, as well as on other parameters. There was no significant interaction between manure and natural PGRs on all observed parameters.

The Effect of Manure Dosage and Types of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) on the Generative Phase of Bird’s Eye Chili (Capsicum frutescens L)

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of manure dosage and types of plant growth regulators (PGRs), as well as their interaction, on the generative phase of bird’s eye chili plants (Capsicum frutescens L.) in order to… o improve productivity, which remains fluctuating due to suboptimal cultivation practices. The research was conducted from February to March 2026 at the experimental field of the Pusat Riset Bisnis Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) of 4 × 3 with three replications. The first factor was the dosage of manure (control, 1 kg/plant, 1.5 kg/plant, and 2 kg/plant), while the second factor was the type of natural PGR (onion extract, rice water, and coconut water). Data were collected through direct observations on several parameters, including number of fruits, fruit weight, fresh biomass weight, root fresh weight, and root length, and were then analyzed to determine the effects of treatments and their interactions.          The results showed that certain doses of manure had a significant effect on increasing yield and root growth, while natural PGRs were able to enhance flowering, reduce flower drop, and accelerate fruit formation. The interaction between both treatments indicated that the optimal combination produced higher results compared to single treatments. The novelty of this study lies in the use of a combination of manure and natural PGRs based on local materials as a strategy to improve the generative phase. The implications of this research are expected to serve as a scientific reference for the development of sustainable cultivation techniques, as well as learning material and further research in the fields of agronomy and horticulture.

THE EFFECT OF COW MANURE AND UREA FERTILIZER APPLICATION ON THE GROWTH

Abstract: This study expects to determine the impact of cow compost and urea manure to increase yields and ideal plant development. This exploration was completed at the Medan City Food Security Administration, Jl. Delightful Kramat/Selambo… at/Selambo Ujung. From May to August 2023. This study utilized a factorial randomized bunch plan (RBD) which comprised of 2 treatment factors with the image S which comprised of 3 levels, in particular; ( S1) 1 kg/plot (S2) 2 kg/plot and (S3) 3 kg/plot. The subsequent factorial is the U image which consists of 3 levels to be specific; (U1) 30 g/plot (U2) 40 g/plot and (P3) 50 g/plot. With the goal that 9 medicines were obtained. Every treatment was rehashed multiple times. The perception information was then examined with the F trial of change at the 5% level, in the event that the thing that matters was huge, the test was gone on with the Duncan test. From the aftereffects of the examination and conversation completed, the accompanying ends were obtained: 1). The impact of cow fertilizer application affected plant level, number of leaves, number of blossoms, number of cases and unit weight of bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) 2). The impact of applying urea manure meaningfully affected plant level, significantly affected the quantity of leaves, fundamentally affected the quantity of blossoms and affected the quantity of cases and unit weight of bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) 3). The communication between the treatment of cow excrement and urea manure essentially affected plant level, number of blossoms, number of cases and unit weight, but not altogether unique on the quantity of leaves of bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
