Analysis of Sharia-Based Governance in The Takaful Industry: A Review of Contemporary Literature

Lubis, Muhammad Arifin, Husna, Asmaul, Sari, Sella Kurnia, Hanum, Fauziah
Abstract: This study aims to explore and evaluate the development of studies on shariah-based governance in the takaful industry through a systematic literature review approach. Sharia governance has an important role in ensuring… that all processes, policies, and operational activities of takaful companies are implemented in accordance with sharia regulations, while supporting the principles of transparency, accountability, fairness, and protection of participants' rights. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by adopting the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. The databases used are Scopus and Google Scholar with the keywords "Shariah Governance", "Islamic Governance", "Takaful Industry", "Takaful Governance", and "Shariah Governance in Takaful". Through the process of identification, screening, and feasibility assessment, 7 articles that meet the inclusion criteria were obtained for thematic analysis. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of sharia governance in the takaful industry is determined by five main elements: the role and competence of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS), the sharia compliance and audit system, the corporate governance mechanism, the transparency of information disclosure based on AAOIFI standards, and the support of the regulatory framework. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of the concept of sharia governance in the Islamic insurance industry as well as practical recommendations for regulators, takaful operators, and Sharia Supervisory Boards.

The Effect Of The Utaut3 Construct On The Interest Of MSMEs In Using The Bank Syariah Indonesia QRIS Payment System With Trust, And Ease Of Use As A Mediation Variable

Nurdin, Prabu, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Churiyah, Madziatul
Abstract: The development of financial technology has encouraged the transformation of the digital payment system in Indonesia, one of which is through the implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) developed… oped by Bank Indonesia to integrate various QR code-based payment services. This payment system is expected to be able to improve transaction efficiency, speed up the payment process, and expand financial inclusion for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, the adoption rate of digital payment technology in the MSME sector still faces various challenges, both related to technological aspects, user psychological factors, and the influence of the social environment. This study aims to systematically examine the influence of constructs in the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT3) on the interest of MSMEs in using the QRIS payment system at Bank Syariah Indonesia with trust and perceived ease of use as mediation variables. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA approach to identify, select, and analyze relevant scientific articles in the 2020–2025 period. The literature search process produced 2,395 articles from a database of reputable scientific journals, then an elimination process was carried out based on inclusion and exclusion criteria so that 71 articles were obtained that were eligible for further analysis. The study stages were carried out systematically through the process of identification, screening, feasibility assessment, and determination of final articles. The results of the study show that the main constructs in the technology acceptance model such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions have an important influence on interest in using digital payment technology. In addition, additional factors such as trust and perceived ease of use have been proven to act as mediating variables that strengthen the relationship between technology construct and the intention to use QRIS by MSME actors. Trust in system security and ease of use of technology are crucial factors in increasing user confidence in digital payment services, especially in the context of Islamic banking-based financial services. The findings of this study provide a theoretical contribution to the development of a digital payment technology acceptance model based on UTAUT3 and provide practical implications for financial institutions and regulators in increasing the adoption of QRIS among MSME actors. The next research is suggested to develop an empirical model with a quantitative approach to test the relationship between variables more comprehensively in the context of the digital economy in Indonesia.

The Influence of Good Corporate Governance on Tax Aggressiveness in Mining Companies in Indonesia

Siahaan, Trioksa, Unjaini , Feri Asandi
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the impact of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on tax aggressiveness in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A quantitative approach was used in this research, with secondary… ondary data obtained from financial statements and annual reports of companies over a certain period. The results show that GCG, particularly independent board commissioners and the frequency of board meetings, has a negative and significant impact on tax aggressiveness. However, the influence of the audit committee and the nomination and remuneration committee on tax aggressiveness is not significant. These findings underscore the importance of stronger GCG implementation to reduce risks associated with corporate tax policies. This study provides important implications for companies and regulators in enhancing effective corporate governance to reduce tax aggressiveness in the mining sector.

FROM DISCIPLINE TO DEVELOPMENT: ADAPTING CORE MARCHING BAND STRUCTURES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE PRACTICE IN INDONESIAN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Kurniawan, Iwan, Pamungkas, Joko
Abstract: This study examines how core marching band structures can be adapted for Indonesian early childhood education through developmentally appropriate practice and performance theory. The study responds to concerns that preschool… hool marching band activities may reproduce discipline-oriented rehearsal models designed for older learners. A one-group pre-test and post-test mixed-methods design was used with twenty Indonesian preschool children aged four to five years. Over six weeks, children participated in twelve adapted marching band sessions that combined simplified rhythmic patterns, child-scaled instruments, neat but developmentally adjusted formations, cooperative music-making, visual-motor activities, and responsive teacher facilitation. Quantitative data were collected using a four-point developmental observation rubric covering rhythmic competence, motor coordination, and socio-emotional engagement. Qualitative data were obtained from teacher reflective journals and post-intervention interviews. Paired-sample analysis showed higher post-test scores across the three developmental domains. The largest observed improvement appeared in socio-emotional engagement, followed by rhythmic competence and motor coordination. However, because the study did not include a control group, the findings should be interpreted as developmental changes observed after participation rather than definitive causal effects of the intervention. Qualitative findings indicated that children participated more confidently when teachers simplified rhythmic tasks, used clear and neat formations with reduced technical pressure, provided child-scaled instruments, supported safe movement, and acted as co-players and emotional co-regulators. The study reconceptualizes marching band routines not as rigid disciplinary scripts, but as adaptable performative frames that may support social participation, emotional regulation, rhythmic learning, motor coordination, cooperation, and creative agency when aligned with children’s developmental readiness.

THE INFLUENCE OF TRUST AND RISK ON THE USE OF QRIS WITH FRAUD ISSUES AS A MODERATING VARIABLE IN BANDUNG

Indah Kusprasetya, Budi Rustandi Kartawinata, Aldi Akbar
Abstract: The development of digital payment systems has driven the increasing use of the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS) as a practical and integrated cashless transaction method. Although QRIS adoption continues to… o increase, its continued use is still influenced by trust, perceived risk, and the prevalence of fraud in digital transactions. This study aims to analyze the influence of trust and risk on QRIS use, with fraud as a moderating variable, in the city of Bandung. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey of 200 QRIS user respondents. The data analysis technique used was Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that trust had a positive and significant effect on QRIS use, while risk had a negative and significant effect. Furthermore, fraud moderated the relationship between trust and QRIS use by weakening the influence of trust, and moderated the relationship between risk and QRIS use by strengthening the influence of risk. These findings confirm that although QRIS offers convenience and efficiency, perceptions of risk and fraud remain crucial factors influencing usage behavior. This research is expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of digital payment technology adoption models and provide practical implications for regulators, payment service providers, and MSMEs in strengthening security, improving digital literacy, and building user trust in the QRIS payment system.

ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF PERCEIVED USEFULNESS AND PERCEIVED EASE OF USE IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FINANCIAL BEHAVIORAL BIASES AND BITCOIN INVESTMENT DECISIONS AMONG GENERATION Z USERS OF TOKOCRYPTO AND INDODAX

Silvi Amisha Putri, Budi Rustandi Kartawinata, Agus Maolana Hidayat
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) in mediating the relationship between financial behavioral biases—namely financial literacy (FL), overconfidence (OC), and… nd risk tolerance (RT)—and Bitcoin investment decisions among Generation Z in Indonesia, using the Tokocrypto and Indodax platforms. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey of 360 active Generation Z investors, data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that financial literacy, risk tolerance, PU, and PEOU have a direct positive and significant effect on Bitcoin investment decisions. Overconfidence, however, showed no significant direct effect. Furthermore, PU and PEOU partially mediated the relationships between financial literacy and investment decisions, as well as between risk tolerance and investment decisions. Notably, PEOU emerged as the strongest mediating pathway, particularly for risk tolerance. Conversely, neither PU nor PEOU mediated the relationship between overconfidence and investment decisions. This research contributes theoretically by integrating Behavioral Finance theory with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the context of high-risk digital assets. Practically, it offers insights for platform developers to enhance user experience and design targeted financial education, and for regulators to formulate behaviorally-informed investor protection policies.

BRIDGING FINANCIAL AND DIGITAL COMPETENCES WITH INVESTMENT RISK THROUGH THE MEDIATING POWER OF INFORMATION DISCLOSURE

Indrasari, Elizabeth Sastrina, Soma, Abdul Mukti
Abstract: Digital technologies are changing rapidly, and this has changed the financial services industry, especially how people decide where to invest their money. This study looks at how digital literacy, financial literacy, and… fear of missing out (FOMO) affect how much risk young investors are willing to take when investing with information disclosure as a mediating variable. The research data is taken from 447 investors of Gen Y and Z in West Java and used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLSSEM). The results show that being financially literate makes people more likely to search for financial information, but it also makes them less willing to take risks when investing. This suggests that people who know a lot about money are more careful when they invest. On the other hand, FOMO has a positive effect on both information searching and risk tolerance, showing how emotions can affect people online. Digital literacy helps people be more willing to take risks, but it does not have a big effect on how much information they search. These results show how important cognitive and emotional factors are in determining how people act when it comes to IT-driven finances. The study helps with responsible digital transformation by showing how important it is for individuals to be ready to navigate fintech ecosystems. It also gives regulators, platform providers, and educators ideas on how to promote more informed and resilient investment practices.

Uni Savira, Hilda Pratiwi, Mizan Maulana
Abstract: Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a horticultural commodity with high economic value and continuously increasing market demand. The success of cayenne pepper production is largely determined by vegetative growth… in the early stages, which is influenced by the availability of nutrients and plant growth regulators. The use of manure as a source of organic matter and natural Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) is expected to enhance vegetative growth. This study aimed to determine the effect of manure application and natural PGRs on the vegetative growth of cayenne pepper and to identify the treatment that produces the best growth. The research was conducted from December to January 2026 at the land of the Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera Business Research Center, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency. The study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a 4 × 3 pattern and three replications. The first factor was the dosage of manure consisting of 0 kg (control), 1 kg, 1.5 kg, and 2 kg per plant. The second factor was the type of natural PGR, consisting of shallot extract, rice water, and coconut water. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, and number of branches at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting (DAP). Data were analyzed using the F-test and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at a 5% significance level if the results were significant. The results showed that manure application had no significant effect on all vegetative growth parameters up to 45 DAP. The application of natural PGRs also showed no significant effect at 15, 30, and 45 DAP, as well as on other parameters. There was no significant interaction between manure and natural PGRs on all observed parameters.

The Effect of Manure Dosage and Types of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) on the Generative Phase of Bird’s Eye Chili (Capsicum frutescens L)

Putri Rizkia, Hilda Pratiwi, Mizan Maulana
Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of manure dosage and types of plant growth regulators (PGRs), as well as their interaction, on the generative phase of bird’s eye chili plants (Capsicum frutescens L.) in order to… o improve productivity, which remains fluctuating due to suboptimal cultivation practices. The research was conducted from February to March 2026 at the experimental field of the Pusat Riset Bisnis Kopbun Suka Tani Sejahtera, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) of 4 × 3 with three replications. The first factor was the dosage of manure (control, 1 kg/plant, 1.5 kg/plant, and 2 kg/plant), while the second factor was the type of natural PGR (onion extract, rice water, and coconut water). Data were collected through direct observations on several parameters, including number of fruits, fruit weight, fresh biomass weight, root fresh weight, and root length, and were then analyzed to determine the effects of treatments and their interactions.          The results showed that certain doses of manure had a significant effect on increasing yield and root growth, while natural PGRs were able to enhance flowering, reduce flower drop, and accelerate fruit formation. The interaction between both treatments indicated that the optimal combination produced higher results compared to single treatments. The novelty of this study lies in the use of a combination of manure and natural PGRs based on local materials as a strategy to improve the generative phase. The implications of this research are expected to serve as a scientific reference for the development of sustainable cultivation techniques, as well as learning material and further research in the fields of agronomy and horticulture.

Legal Responsibility of Bank Towards Customers In Cases of Personal Data Leakage

Sri Anggraini Kusuma Dewi
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal responsibility of banks towards customers in cases of personal data leaks, examine the extent of legal protection provided to customers, and describe efforts that can be… made to minimize the risk of data leaks. This study uses a literature study method by collecting and analyzing various legal sources, such as laws and regulations, court decisions, journals, and literature related to data protection in the banking sector. The results of the study indicate that banks have legal responsibilities based on the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and banking provisions to maintain the confidentiality of customer data. If a data leak occurs, the bank can be subject to administrative, civil, or even criminal sanctions depending on the level of negligence. In addition, this study found that customers have the right to claim compensation if the data leak causes material or immaterial losses. However, the effectiveness of law enforcement still faces challenges, such as lack of customer awareness and complexity of evidence. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations, improve cybersecurity systems by banks, and educate customers to mitigate the risk of data leaks. The implications of this study are expected to provide recommendations for regulators and banking industry players in strengthening the protection of customer personal data.
