Abstract: Paddle aerator is an important tool in intensive shrimp farming. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance and electrical power consumption of paddle aerators based on the results of dynamic modelling analysis.… lysis. This study uses causal ex-pose facto design concept with data analysis using dynamic modelling system. The results showed the salinity levels of pond 1 20-27 gr/L and pond 2 31-33 gr/L, pH pond 1 7.9-9.0 and pond 2 8.1-8.3, DO concentration pond 1 4.43-6.93 mg/L and pond 2 4.72-5.99 mg/L, temperature pond 1 27.15-31.400C with a brightness of 43 cm and pond 2 ranging from 27.50-29.850C with a brightness of 49 cm. From the calculation of the level of oxygen production paddle aerator power 1 HP produces oxygen average 2.12 mgO2 / hour (1.68-2.89 mgO2 / hour) with gas pressure 10.31-16.00 mmHg and paddle aerator power 2 HP produces oxygen average 3.20 mgO2 / hour (2.82-3.65 mgO2 / hour) with gas pressure 10.05-14.56 mmHg. From the accumulated results, the electrical load power required for pond 1 is about 6.83-10.38 kW and pond 2 is about 6.59-7.71 kW. The performance of 1 HP paddle aerator is more effective than 2 HP paddle aerator 4 pieces. The results of dynamic model analysis estimated the level of dissolved oxygen production by paddle aerators during one cultivation cycle ranged from 1-2.70 mgO2/hours and 1-2.75 mgO2/hours with a rotational speed of 0-30 rpm/s and power requirements of 8-10 kW. The conclusion from the results of this study is that the use of 1 HP paddle aerators in large quantities is proven to be more effective and based on the results of dynamic modelling system analysis, it is shown that the performance of DO production by paddle aerators will stagnate at week ten of the cultivation period, with increasing electrical power requirements.

Tune Into Gen-Z Groove: Exploring Gen-Z Reception of Music on Radio Prambors Medan

Miranti, Safira Putri, Sikumbang, Ahmad Tamrin
Abstract: This article aims to explore and understand how Generation Z in Medan responds to and interacts with music broadcasted by Radio Prambors, a popular radio station among young people. This study is crucial for identifying… the dynamics between the musical preferences of the younger generation and the way radio content is presented in the digital era, as well as its implications for broadcasting strategies. Using a qualitative approach, this research involves in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis to gather data from Generation Z listeners. Content analysis is used to interpret audience reactions to the music programming, with a source triangulation approach to enhance data validity, combining interviews, social media content analysis, and listener surveys. The research findings reveal three categories of audience reception: hegemony, where listeners fully accept the music choices presented; negotiation, where listeners are satisfied but offer suggestions for a more diverse genre presentation; and opposition, where some less featured music genres cause dissatisfaction among listeners. Furthermore, the interaction between listeners and the radio station shows that Radio Prambors Medan functions not only as a music provider but also as a mediator in a broader communication network that influences the musical tastes and preferences of its listeners. The discussion in this study integrates Manuel Castells' Network Society theory to explain how social and digital networks affect media consumption and interaction among Generation Z, highlighting the crucial role of digital technology adaptation in radio programming strategies. By understanding these dynamics, Radio Prambors Medan can more effectively craft strategies that appeal to its listeners, ultimately maintaining its relevance in the rapidly changing media landscape. The recommendations resulting from this study emphasize the importance of broader digital technology use and more intensive social media interaction to enhance listener engagement and enrich their listening experience.

FROM DISCIPLINE TO DEVELOPMENT: ADAPTING CORE MARCHING BAND STRUCTURES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE PRACTICE IN INDONESIAN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Kurniawan, Iwan, Pamungkas, Joko
Abstract: This study examines how core marching band structures can be adapted for Indonesian early childhood education through developmentally appropriate practice and performance theory. The study responds to concerns that preschool… hool marching band activities may reproduce discipline-oriented rehearsal models designed for older learners. A one-group pre-test and post-test mixed-methods design was used with twenty Indonesian preschool children aged four to five years. Over six weeks, children participated in twelve adapted marching band sessions that combined simplified rhythmic patterns, child-scaled instruments, neat but developmentally adjusted formations, cooperative music-making, visual-motor activities, and responsive teacher facilitation. Quantitative data were collected using a four-point developmental observation rubric covering rhythmic competence, motor coordination, and socio-emotional engagement. Qualitative data were obtained from teacher reflective journals and post-intervention interviews. Paired-sample analysis showed higher post-test scores across the three developmental domains. The largest observed improvement appeared in socio-emotional engagement, followed by rhythmic competence and motor coordination. However, because the study did not include a control group, the findings should be interpreted as developmental changes observed after participation rather than definitive causal effects of the intervention. Qualitative findings indicated that children participated more confidently when teachers simplified rhythmic tasks, used clear and neat formations with reduced technical pressure, provided child-scaled instruments, supported safe movement, and acted as co-players and emotional co-regulators. The study reconceptualizes marching band routines not as rigid disciplinary scripts, but as adaptable performative frames that may support social participation, emotional regulation, rhythmic learning, motor coordination, cooperation, and creative agency when aligned with children’s developmental readiness.

Siri’ Killing dalam Masyarakat Bugis-Makassar: Konstruksi, Pola Pembunuhan, dan Respons Hukum Pidana

Zul Khaidir Kadir
Abstract: This study examines the phenomenon of siri’ killing in the Bugis-Makassar community, which has received limited attention in global discussions on honor-based killings. The background of this research is rooted in the strong… strong value of siri’ as a system of collective honor that not only regulates social behavior but also has the potential to generate violence as a means of restoring dignity. The research problem focuses on how the construction of siri’ shapes collective honor, how patterns of honor-motivated killings occur, and how Indonesian criminal law responds to this phenomenon without legitimizing violence. This study employs a normative legal method with statutory, case, and conceptual approaches to analyze the relationship between legal norms and cultural values. The findings indicate that siri’ is understood as a collective family identity that significantly influences individual behavior, with women becoming the most vulnerable group due to the unequal distribution of moral burden. Patterns of siri’ killing are generally associated with control over sexuality and marriage and are driven by social pressure and collective moral legitimacy. The response of criminal law tends to be ambivalent, as cultural motives are not justified but are often considered as background factors. The conclusion emphasizes that siri’ killing is a complex phenomenon that cannot be understood merely as a criminal act, but rather as the result of interactions among culture, gender, and law. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of cultural, criminal law, and gender perspectives in explaining siri’ killing as a localized form of honor killing with distinctive characteristics in Indonesia.

Abstract: Abstract: that the number of catches obtained by fishermen is more optimal. With secondary data based on the type of cultivation developed by fishing communities, the authors intend to explore this data so that they can… examine more deeply the most effective types of cultivation using analysis of variance to find out the differences between each type of cultivation and cluster analysis using the complete linkage method. to find out the grouping of marine culture production based on the types developed by fishing communities in Indonesia. The correlation between the observed variables is 0.008, so it can be said that there is no relationship between the observed variables. In addition, the sig. and t-test. sig value is obtained. > α (5% = 0.05). This means that there is a significant average difference in fish production results based on the type of cultivation developed by fishing communities. With the grouping of types of marine cultivation developed by the Wesleyan community using the complete-linkage method, they are divided into 3 groups based on the degree of similarity in the production results obtained. Cluster 1 consists of Floating Nets, and Pools; Cluster 2 consists of other seas, seaweed, cages, and fishing nets; and Cluster 3 consists of Fresh Floating Nets, Minapadi, and Ponds.
