ya, Central Kalimantan, also prepares its students to participate in this prestigious event. To this end, the school formed an English Debate Club (EDC). However, the enthusiasm of EDC members in practising tends to be inconsistent, which impacts the effectiveness of their preparation. In response to this problem, a team of lecturer and students from the English Education Study Program, Palangka Raya University, implemented a coaching program to increase the enthusiasm, confidence, and debating skills of EDC members. The coaching activities were conducted in four sessions, covering motion analysis training, case studies, and debate practice, with guidance from an outstanding student representing the university in the National University Debating Championship (NUDC) at the national level. Qualitative questionnaire results indicated increased enthusiasm and self-confidence among EDC members during training sessions and improved understanding of debate strategies. This initiative demonstrates that coaching based on the direct experience of a high-achieving debater can serve as an effective strategy for developing debate clubs in secondary schools.

Abstrak: National Schools Debating Championship (NSDC) merupakan salah satu kompetisi debat yang paling populer. Sekolah di Indonesia berusaha mempersiapkan potensi terbaiknya untuk mengikuti kompetisi bergengsi ini. Salah satu sekolah menengah atas di Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah, juga mempersiapkan para siswanya untuk mengikuti ajang bergengsi tersebut. Untuk itu, sekolah membentuk English Debate Club (EDC). Namun, antusiasme anggota EDC dalam berlatih cenderung tidak konsisten, yang berdampak pada efektivitas persiapan mereka. Menanggapi permasalahan tersebut, tim dosen dan mahasiswa dari Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Universitas Palangka Raya melaksanakan program pendampingan guna meningkatkan antusiasme, percaya diri dan kemampuan debat para anggota EDC. Kegiatan pendampingan dilakukan dalam empat sesi pertemuan, yang mencakup pelatihan analisis mosi, pembedahan kasus, serta praktik debat, dengan bimbingan dari mahasiswa berprestasi yang pernah mewakili universitas dalam ajang National University Debating Championship (NUDC) tingkat nasional. Hasil survei menunjukkan peningkatan antusiasme dan kepercayaan diri anggota EDC dalam mengikuti latihan, serta pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap strategi debat. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan berbasis pengalaman langsung dari mahasiswa debat berprestasi dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam membina klub debat di sekolah menengah.

community's welfare. The practice of fishing with bombs not only damages marine habitats, including coral reefs, but also threatens the sustainability of fish resources in the future. If allowed to continue, this can harm marine ecosystems and jeopardize the sustainability of the local economy. To address this problem, training and implementing coral reef conservation using the Coral Adoption method is crucial. This initiative, which involves the Simeulue Regency government, Simeulue Police, and TNI, focuses on the community, especially fishermen. The Coral Adoption method is a marine environmental rehabilitation technique that aims to conserve marine biota, accelerate coral reef growth, and restore threatened ecosystems. The training provides participants with knowledge about the negative impacts of fish bombing and the importance of marine environmental rehabilitation. It also empowers them to stop such destructive practices. Furthermore, participants recognize the long-term impacts of fish bombing on their socio-economic aspects, which ultimately increases their commitment to preserving the marine environment for a better future.

Abstrak: Sebagian besar penduduk Simeulue bergantung pada hasil laut untuk mata pencaharian mereka. Namun, penggunaan bom dalam penangkapan ikan telah menimbulkan ancaman serius terhadap kelestarian sumber daya ikan yang menjadi aset penting bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat. Praktik penangkapan ikan dengan bom tidak hanya merusak habitat laut, termasuk terumbu karang, tetapi juga mengancam keberlanjutan sumber daya ikan di masa depan. Jika dibiarkan berlanjut, hal ini dapat berdampak buruk pada ekosistem laut dan mengancam keberlanjutan ekonomi lokal. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, pelatihan dan penerapan konservasi terumbu karang dengan metode Rock Pile menjadi sangat penting. Pelatihan ini, yang melibatkan pihak pemerintah Kabupaten Simeulue, Polres Simeulue, dan TNI, difokuskan pada masyarakat, terutama nelayan. Rock Pile adalah teknik rehabilitasi lingkungan laut yang bertujuan untuk melestarikan biota laut, mempercepat pertumbuhan terumbu karang, dan memulihkan ekosistem yang terancam. Manfaat dari pelatihan ini, peserta tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan tentang dampak buruk pengeboman ikan dan pentingnya rehabilitasi lingkungan laut, tetapi juga menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam menghentikan praktik destruktif tersebut. Selain itu, mereka menyadari dampak jangka panjang pengeboman ikan terhadap aspek sosial ekonomi mereka, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan komitmen mereka untuk melestarikan lingkungan laut demi masa depan yang lebih baik.

To increase public knowledge in Banjar Agung Udik Village, Pugung District, Tanggamus Regency regarding phytotelmata as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, this counseling was carried out. Counseling was carried out using the pretest, lecture and discussion methods, and practicum. The results of the counseling showed that most participants knew that DBD and malaria were transmitted by mosquitoes, but not all knew the name of the vector species. Participants knew where mosquitoes perched at home and how to avoid mosquito bites. Participants also know mosquito breeding places, but are new to phytotelmata in this counseling. The practicum carried out by participants successfully identified six plant species that were proven to be phytotelmata. Thus, it can be concluded that this counseling has succeeded in providing knowledge to the community about the potential of phytotelmata as a source of mosquito-borne diseases.

Dalam rangka meningkatkan peran serta masyarakat dalam mencegah penyebaran penyakit tukar nyamuk itulah pendidikan kepada masyarakat perlu perlu dilakukan melalui penyuluhan. Kabupaten Tanggamus adalah salah satu daerah di Lampung yang kejadian DBD-nya dimana sejak Januari hingga Juni 2024 ada 227 kasus. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat di Desa Banjar Agung Udik, Kecamatan Pugung, Kabupaten Tanggamus terhadap fitotelmata sebagai tempat perindukan nyamuk maka penyuluhan ini dilakukan. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode pretes, ceramah dan diskusi, serta praktikum. Hasil penyuluhan didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta tahu bahwa DBD dan malaria ditularkan nyamuk, tetapi tidak semua tahu nama spesies namuk vektornya. Peserta tahu tempat hinggap nyamuk di rumah dan juga tahu cara menghindarkan diri dari gigitan nyamuk. Peserta juga tahu tempat-tempat berkembang biak nyamuk, tetapi baru mengenal fitotelmata dalam penyuluhan ini. Praktikum yang dilakukan peserta berhasil mengidentifikasi enam spesies tumbuhan yang terbukti menjadi fitotelmata.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan ini berhasil memberkan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang potensi fitotelmata sebagai sumber penyebar penyakit tular nyamuk.

It is hoped that the literacy movement that has been implemented in schools can help students improve their literacy skills. However, on the contrary, this movement has not been carried out optimally so that literacy skills are still low. Students' literacy skills are low because students' interest in reading is also low. Therefore, teachers in this case should have creativity in accompanying the implementation of school literacy movement activities. One way to increase students' reading comprehension is by implementing a reading challenge method. In this method, students will be invited to go to the reading corner or library to read books they like. The teacher here supervises or monitors students who are reading. Then, 15 minutes before the lesson starts, students report to the teacher the books they have read. For students who read the most, for example in one month, that student is given a reward. Through this activity, it is hoped that students at the school will be able to increase their interest in reading.

Most mothers in this area have lack knowledge in healthy food processing. Therefore, in this service program, several steps to handle stunting related to healthy food processing were carried out through counselling and training activities. The main ingredient used is the Moringa plant, which is known in many countries to overcome malnutrition because it is rich in nutrients, obtained easily, and affordable. The activity program is hoped to support the government's efforts in reducing the prevalence of stunting in Maskuning Wetan Village.

Abstrak: Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan yang menjadi perhatian utama pemerintah hingga saat ini karena berpengaruh pada kualitas sumber daya manusia. Salah satu daerah yang masih menjadi sasaran penanganan stunting adalah Desa Maskuning Wetan, Kecamatan Pujer, Kabupaten Bondowoso, Jawa Timur dengan kasus stunting sebanyak 14,36%. Pola makan termasuk jenis makanan berperan penting dalam penanganan stunting. Sebagian besar ibu di daerah tersebut masih banyak yang belum mengetahui cara pengolahan makanan sehat. Oleh karena itu, pada program pengabdian ini dilakukan beberapa langkah penanganan stunting terkait pengolahan makanan sehat berupa kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Bahan utama yang digunakan adalah tanaman kelor yang telah dikenal di berbagai negara untuk mengatasi malnutrisi karena kaya akan kandungan nutrisi, mudah diperoleh, dan terjangkau. Dengan adanya program kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam menurunkan prevalensi stunting di Desa Maskuning Wetan.

This is an obstacle in spreading sorghum as an agricultural potential, because extension workers have difficulty providing farmers with an understanding of the benefits of sorghum farming. Therefore, knowledge is needed in carrying out farming analysis, as well as organizing human resources in farmer groups so that they can produce maximum quality and quantity. Through this knowledge and ability, it is hoped that partners can further optimize the dissemination of sorghum farming to the farmers they support so that they can produce sustainably. The methods used in this service activity are training and mentoring. For training activities, farming business analysis and farmer group management were carried out for one day, where the implementing team facilitated training to partners, namely BPP East Suwawa. After the training activities, students in the implementing team provided regular assistance for two weeks to optimize the results obtained in the training. The results of the activity showed that the activity participants were very enthusiastic during the mentoring activity, and gave positive responses, so that activities like this could be routine, especially in assisting with sorghum farming analysis.

Abstrak:UMKM merupakan usaha produktif yang dimiliki seseorang atau badan usaha yang memenuhi kriteria sebagai usaha mikro, usaha kecil dan usaha menengah. Yang menjadi dasar penentuan jenis usaha dilihat dari rata-rata pendapatan usaha tersebut dalam setahun serta berdasarkan kekayaan bersih usaha tersebut. Dalam menjalankan usaha keuangan merupakan hal terpenting bagi pengusaha, namun masih banyak UMKM belum memahami pengelolaan keuangan usaha. Kurang fahamnya dalam pengelolaan manajemen keuangan mengakibatkan permasalahan tidak terkontrolnya modal yang digunakan serta pendapatan yang dihasilkan. Sering kali keuangan pribadi bercampurbaur dengan keuangan usaha, tentu hal ini akan menjadi fatal apabila pengusaha tidak dapat mengetahui berapabesar dana yang sudah dikeluarkan dan yang digunakan serta berapa besar sebenarnya keuntungan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan usaha tersebut. Kegiatan PkM dilakukan dengan Metode Pendidikan Masyarakat yaitu melakukan kegiatan persentase tentang bagaimana mengelola manajemen keuangan yang baik. Dari kegiatantersebut Mitra dapat memahami bagaiman mengelola keuangan usaha yang sesuai dengan standar akuntansi keuangan terkhusus standar SAK EMKM (Standar Akuntasi Keuangan dan Entitas Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah).
