The method utilized in this activity is community service activities through mentoring to achieve the objectives of the activity which consists of the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation of mentoring activities. The implementation time of mentoring was carried out for 3 days. The implementation of this activity consists of providing an understanding of the importance of packaging, merk, and labeling in increasing sales, determining the right packaging bottles, then making brands and labeling for the sale of packaged herbs drink. Abstrak: Kebijakan pemerintah dalam upaya menekan penyebaran virus covid–19, tentunya hal ini berdampak pada pelaku UMKM termasuk penjual jamu tradisional yang masih menggunakan metode konvensional. Penjual jamu di gang sei saling masih menawarkan secara langsung kepada pelanggan dengan cara berjalan kaki atau berkeliling menggunakan sepeda. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penjualan jamu pada masa pandemi melalui kemasan, merek, dan label. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, metode yang digunakan adalah melalui pendampingan, untuk mencapai tujuan kegiatan yang terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan pendampingan. Waktu pelaksanaan pendampingan dilaksanakan selama 3 hari. Kegiatan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari memberikan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya kemasan, merek, dan label dalam meningkatkan penjualan, menentukan botol kemasan yang tepat, selanjutnya adalah membuat merk dan label untuk penjualan jamu kemasan. Dalam kegiatan PkM ini, peserta tidak hanya diberikan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya kemasan, merek, dan label, tetapi juga kegiatan ini penjualan jamu secara langsung dan online, memiliki kemasan, merek, dan label, peningkatan penjualan dan pelanggan.

This free handicraft training hopes that the participants will maximize the training in making handicrafts and earn additional income during the pandemic. The target of this activity is students. Based on the results of the work made by the participants, this PKM activity can be said because the participants succeeded in making their respective works well in the first try. The handicrafts made have also met the expectations of the PKM team and can be said to be worthy of sale.

Abstrak: Wabah covid-19 yang sudah berlangsung kurang lebih satu setengah tahun terakhir ini terus merugikan masyarakat dan perekonomian Indonesia. Aktivitas perekonomian Indonesia kian melemah dan menurunkan daya beli masyarakat Indonesia. Salah satu strategi pencegahan yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah yaitu dengan cara membatasi mobilitas masyarakat melalui work from home dan juga study from home bagi para mahasiswa. Sejak diberlakukannya kebijakan ini, para mahasiswa memiliki lebih banyak waktu luang di rumah. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan peluang bisnis yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh para mahasiswa. Pelatihan kerajinan tangan yang diberikan secara gratis ini mengharapkan para peserta nantinya akan memaksimalkan pelatihan membuat kerajinan tangan dan meraih penghasilan tambahan selama pandemi. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil karya yang dibuat oleh para peserta, kegiatan PKM ini dapat dikatakan karena para peserta berhasil membuat karyanya masing-masing dengan baik dalam percobaan pertama. Hasil kerajinan tangan yang dibuat pun sudah memenuhi harapan tim PKM dan dapat dikatakan layak untuk dijual.

This PkM activity aims to provide cloth mask sewing skills to take advantage of business opportunities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this activity is the training method. The sewing training activities consist of two types of activities, namely the presentation of sewing theory and practical training on sewing cloth masks. The presentation is going to explain about sewing theory, sewing concepts, tools and equipment needed in sewing, types and selection of fabrics. Meanwhile, training for sewing cloth masks, undoing the practice of operating a sewing machine, making cloth mask patterns, cutting patterns, sewing cloth masks, and finishing. In this PkM activity, participants not only provided skills in sewing cloth masks, but also at the finishing step such as folding and packaging.

Abstrak: Dengan adanya kelangkaan masker medis yang mulai sulit ditemukan di apotek Palembang, hal ini menjadi peluang bisnis di masa pendemi Covid – 19. Target mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah Warga Gang Sei Saling, kelurahan Siring Agung, kecamatan Ilir Barat 1, Palembang. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan memberikan keterampilan menjahit masker kain untuk memanfaatkan peluang bisnis pada saat pandemi Covid – 19. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode pelatihan. Kegiatan pelaksanaan pelatihan menjahit ini terdiri dari dua jenis kegiatan yaitu pemaparan teori menjahit dan pelatihan praktek menjahit masker kain. Pemaparan teori menjahit terdiri konsep menjahit, peralatan dan perlengkapan yang dibutuhkan dalam menjahit, dan jenis dan pemilihan kain. Sedangkan kegiatan pelatihan praktek menjahit masker kain terdiri dari praktek mengoperasikan mesin jahit,membuat pola masker kain, menggunting pola, menjahit masker kain, dan finishing. Dalam kegiatan PkM ini, peserta tidak hanya diberikan keterampilan menjahit masker kain, tetapi juga hingga tahap finishing seperti melipat dan mengemas masker kain.

The low number of writers in Indonesia means that scientific publications in Indonesia are still inadequate. In 2019, Indonesia succeeded in publishing the most scientific papers when compared to other ASEAN countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. However, this figure is still insufficient, so that efforts are needed to increase the number and quality of good research writing. This activity aims to help make it happen. The target of this activity is students, both from public and private universities in Palembang City. The methods used in this PkM activity were material presentation, practical assistance, and discussion together. Based on the results of the questionnaire answers from 36 participants, the majority of participants agreed that this activity provided new knowledge and information in the topic of research writing. In addition, most of the participants also found this training interesting and made them excited to write a good research. So it can be concluded that the majority of students are not proficient in using Mendeley and Grammarly software and feel that both software can make writing their research easier.

Abstrak: Menulis merupakan suatu kegiatan untuk mengungkapkan gagasan atau gagasan yang ada di benak seseorang. setiap orang pasti punya ide atau ide, tapi tidak semua orang mampu menuliskan ide-ide tersebut. bahkan ada yang beranggapan bahwa menulis membutuhkan latar belakang pendidikan yang tinggi. mahasiswa, misalnya, karena dianggap telah menempuh pendidikan tinggi dan dituduh menulis dari tugas-tugas yang diberikan dosen. Rendahnya jumlah penulis di Indonesia membuat publikasi ilmiah di Indonesia masih kurang mencukupi. Pada tahun 2019, Indonesia berhasil menerbitkan karya ilmiah terbanyak jika dibandingkan dengan negara ASEAN lainnya seperti Singapura, Malaysia, dan Thailand. Namun angka tersebut masih belum mencukupi, sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan jumlah dan kualitas penulisan penelitian yang baik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu mewujudkannya. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para mahasiswa, baik dari perguruan tinggi negeri maupun perguruan tinggi swasta di Kota Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PkM ini adalah Pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil jawaban kuisioner dari 36 peserta, mayoritas peserta sepakat bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan dan informasi baru dalam topik penulisan penelitian. Selain itu, sebagian besar peserta juga menganggap pelatihan ini menarik dan membuat mereka bersemangat untuk menulis penelitian dengan baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa belum mahir menggunakan software Mendeley dan Grammarly dan merasakan bahwa kedua software tersebut dapat mempermudah penulisan riset mereka.

the prevalence of hypertension by utilizing nonpharmacological therapies, such as consuming young coconut water consumption. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effect of young coconut water consumption on reducing high blood pressure in menopausal women. A nonrandomized controlled trial study with a pretest-posttest control group design was chosen as the design of this study, which was conducted at the Community Health Center of Pekalongan, East Lampung Regency. A consecutive sampling technique was used to select eligible participants among menopausal women diagnosed with mild and moderate hypertension by medical personnel, totalling 16 treatment groups and 16 control groups. The treatment group was given the intervention of consuming young coconut water 300 ml morning and evening for seven days and taking standard hypertension medication. Meanwhile, the control group took standard hypertension medication. Participants had their blood pressure checked using an aneroid tensimeter before and after treatment. Data were analysed using a paired t-test with a confidence level (α) of 0.05 to prove the treatment effect on blood pressure reduction. The results found that the treatment of drinking young coconut water affected reducing systole blood pressure (p-value 0.016) and diastole (p-value 0.007). The average decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure pre and post-treatment was 11.25 mmHg and 9.87 mmHg after participants were controlled by taking standard hypertension medications. Drinking young coconut water can be used as a companion option for hypertension treatment by the community.

Although it is already quite good, further improvement is necessary, especially in terms of employees giving warnings to colleagues who violate rules. The family approach has also positively contributed to efforts to prevent bureaucratic pathologies. The weekly evaluations conducted by the section head with the team can be seen as a proactive step in maintaining performance quality. Although it is already quite good, there is a need for improvement to make these evaluations more effective in preventing and addressing violations. On the defensive strategy side, implementing mild sanctions in the form of written warnings has been effective. These sanctions are given to employees who violate rules, such as being absent without notice for 6 to 10 days. Moderate and severe sanctions have also been well implemented when needed, indicating readiness to respond to more serious violations. Overall, offensive and defensive strategies in the Sub-District Office of Pitumpanua are already quite good, but continuous improvement is needed to ensure their effectiveness in dealing with various situations and cases of bureaucratic pathologies in the future.
