trengths and weaknesses of Controlled Speaking Practices and it was also to find whether Controlled Speaking Practices is effective in improving the speaking skill of senior students or not. The study took place at SMA TA’MIRIYAH Surabaya. The school carried out Controlled Speaking Practices in conversation class in the first grade of senior high school students. Qualitative descriptive approach and observation were applied in this study. The writer used recording and field notes as the techniques in conducting observation. The writer analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of controlled speaking practice which were according to three aspects: the result of practicing the task, how the teacher conducted the task, and the way students’ talk in the class. From the data analysis, Controlled Speaking Practices also can indicate that this is the right technique to improve the students’ speaking skill. The researcher concluded that Controlled Speaking Practices might be a tool of practice speaking English which can assist the students to achieve good speaking English.

Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMA Nur Ihsan Islamic Fullday School dengan melibatkan siswa yang memiliki ketertarikan pada cerita dan karakter fiksi. Pelatihan mencakup pengenalan konsep fanfiction, pemahaman elemen naratif, eksplorasi ide, penyusunan outline, serta praktik penulisan fanfiction berbahasa Inggris. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, analisis karya siswa, kuesioner, dan wawancara guru pendamping, lalu dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu menyusun alur dan karakter dengan lebih terstruktur, mengembangkan ide cerita secara lebih kreatif, dan menggunakan kosakata serta struktur bahasa Inggris dengan lebih tepat. Partisipasi siswa tinggi, ditandai dengan keberanian bertanya, berdiskusi, serta kesediaan membacakan karya. Lingkungan belajar yang relevan dengan minat mereka meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik, mendorong keterlibatan aktif, dan mengurangi hambatan psikologis dalam menulis. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat literasi Bahasa Inggris sekaligus menumbuhkan kreativitas pelajar melalui pendekatan berbasis minat dan budaya populer.

The results of this study showed deconstruction result of Malcolm X's speech text by analyzing various linguistic features from the dimensions of text practice (including positive and negative lexical items, key terms of ideology and belief, modality, and rhetorical devices), discursive practice (including intertextuality and shared knowledge), and sociocultural (including formality and personal pronouns), then continued with a discussion of the relationship between discourse, power, and ideology and the role of Malcolm X's speech in the historical context at that time. It can be concluded that Malcolm X's speech highlights his advocacy for revolutionary justice and self-defense for oppressed black people. He also challenged the power structures of his time, opposing segregation and exposing the hypocrisy of the American and Western governments with white supremacy and colonialism behind the mask of democracy.

The findings indicated that there were constraints and a lack of teaching resources for class IX students at SMP Negeri 24 Kerinci to write short stories. The final results indicate that creative teaching tools based on the Cerpengram technique are required to facilitate comprehension of the subject matter, particularly short story writing abilities. According to the requirements analysis, 100% of students and instructors demand novel teaching resources based on the Cerpengram technique that have been produced in the form of e-modules.
