00 subjects aged 18-21 years who lived in DKI Jakarta. Data were collected using the Prosocial Behavior Scale (PBS) and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). The data processing involved hypothesis testing through the Pearson correlation test. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between self-compassion and prosocial behavior, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.107 and a p-value of 0.032, which is less than the significance level of 0.05. These findings suggest that higher levels of self-compassion are associated with greater prosocial behavior in late adolescents in this region. This research highlights the importance of fostering self-compassion as a potential means to enhance prosocial behavior among adolescents. Given the cultural context of DKI Jakarta, where communal values and social harmony are emphasized, self-compassion may play a crucial role in promoting positive social interactions and behaviors. Future studies could further explore the underlying mechanisms of this relationship and consider interventions to cultivate self-compassion in adolescents to support their social development and well-being.
Abstract:In general, happiness is the biggest goal that humans want to achieve. Many factors make an individual happy. Previous studies have shown that there is a relationship between prosociality and happiness. Several sources say…
ay that religion is one of the factors that makes happiness and that humans' relationship with God is the main factor in achieving happiness. The quality of alms is the level of goodness or badness of a material or non-material gift to someone with only the hope of Allah's blessing. This research is a quantitative study which aims to determine the effect of alms on the happiness of life of the Bekasi Group Alms Community couriers. The research subjects were 51 people according to the population of couriers in the community. The data collection technique in this research used a happiness and alms quality questionnaire. The happiness questionnaire refers to the OHQ (Oxford Happiness Questionaire) from Argyle (2001) and the alms questionnaire to measure the quality of alms refers to the concept from Mu'is (2016). The statistical calculation process uses simple linear regression analysis with the results of the regression equation Ŷ = 18,810+0.672.
Abstract:Students are required to implement their knowledge to the community, one of which is by becoming a teaching volunteer. Teaching activities carried out by students are a form of prosocial behavior. Prosocial behavior can…
be influenced by internal factors, one of which is empathy. The purpose of this study is to test empirically the contribution of empathy to prosocial behavior in students who become teaching volunteers. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted on 108 respondents with certain criteria, that is active students who became teaching volunteers for at least 1 month. Data collected by distributing questionnaires containing the respondents' identities and the research scale. The scale used in this study is a helping attitude scale and an empathy scale. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis in this research is a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of data analysis, the F value was 31.114; R square of 0.227 and a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.01). This shows that there is a very significant contribution from empathy to prosocial behavior in students who become teaching volunteers and empathy contributes to prosocial behavior by 22.7%, while the remaining 77.3% is influenced by other factors outside of research.
Abstract:This literature review examines the mediating role of employee engagement in the relationship between Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices and corporate Social-ESG performance. Amidst the growing emphasis on…
ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, the social dimension, particularly DEI, is recognized as a strategic driver of sustainability. While prior research indicates positive links between DEI and social performance, and between DEI and employee engagement, the specific mechanism connecting these variables remains underexplored. This study synthesizes existing literature to propose and analyze a conceptual model where employee engagement acts as a key mediator. Grounded in Social Exchange Theory and the Job Demands-Resources model, the review finds that inclusive environments foster psychological safety, a sense of belonging, and empowerment, which significantly enhance employee engagement. This heightened engagement, in turn, motivates prosocial behaviors such as Organizational Citizenship Behavior, internal advocacy, and proactive innovation that directly improve measurable Social-ESG outcomes. The analysis concludes that the effect of DEI on Social-ESG performance is not merely direct but is substantially transmitted and amplified through the psychological state and subsequent behaviors of engaged employees. The study highlights the necessity for organizations to integrate DEI strategies with employee engagement initiatives to fully realize their social sustainability goals and provides a foundation for future empirical testing of this mediating relationship.
Abstract:This study examines the effects of a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum on academic resilience and prosocial behavior in high-poverty primary schools, specifically at SDN No. 100907 Muara Ampolu I, Kec. Muara Batangtoru.…
angtoru. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, 80 students participated, divided equally into intervention and control groups. The 12-week SEL program focused on self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Data were collected using validated academic resilience and prosocial behavior instruments and analyzed through paired and independent sample t-tests. Findings revealed that students in the intervention group demonstrated significant improvements in academic resilience and prosocial behavior compared to the control group. The study highlights the potential of SEL curricula to foster adaptive coping strategies and positive social interactions among students in socioeconomically disadvantaged settings. Implications for educational policy and school practices are discussed, emphasizing the importance of SEL integration in primary education
Abstract:Nurses, as the frontline of healthcare services, are expected to deliver optimal performance that frequently goes beyond their formal duties, thus requiring robust psychological capital to support voluntary work behaviors…
s known as Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This study aims to analyze the effect of Psychological Capital (PsyCap), which comprises hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism, on nurses' OCB in regional hospitals and to identify the most dominant dimension influencing OCB. Employing a quantitative correlational approach, this research collected primary data through structured questionnaires distributed to nurses as respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and moderated regression analysis to test variable relationships and the moderating effects of demographic factors. The results indicate that the levels of PsyCap and OCB among nurses are relatively high, with resilience emerging as the most significant predictor of OCB. These findings strengthen the position of PsyCap as an essential psychological resource that fosters prosocial behaviors among nurses, especially in regional hospitals often challenged by limited human resources. The implications suggest that hospital management should design PsyCap enhancement programs, focusing particularly on strengthening nurses' mental resilience to sustainably improve healthcare service quality. This study also contributes theoretically by enriching the literature on organizational behavior within the Indonesian healthcare sector.
