and cultural fragmentation, ethical journalism becomes crucial in constructing inclusive narratives and supporting peaceful cross-border relations. The objective of this research is to identify how Islamic values particularly the principle of rahmatan lil-‘alamin (mercy to all creation) inform journalistic practices that contribute to intercultural understanding and regional diplomacy. Using a qualitative, library-based approach, the study examines comparative media discourse from Indonesia and Singapore to highlight patterns of ethical communication that emphasize compassion, responsibility, and soft power engagement. The results reveal that Islamic journalistic communication offers a transformative model to counter stereotypes, foster mutual respect, and enhance transnational solidarity. This study contributes to the broader academic discourse on Islamic media ethics, intercultural dialogue, and religion-based peacebuilding by proposing a theoretical framework for ethical Islamic journalism applicable in other multicultural societies across Southeast Asia.

These challenges are particularly prevalent among adolescents, who frequently compare themselves to others in their environment. Body dissatisfaction emerges when adolescents compare their actual body to an idealized version and struggle to accept their current appearance. One factor influencing body dissatisfaction is self-compassion, which can either mitigate or exacerbate these feelings. This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-compassion and body dissatisfaction among students of the Faculty of Psychology at Bhayangkara University Jakarta Raya. Using convenience sampling, 100 students participated in the study. The findings indicate a significant negative correlation between self-compassion and body dissatisfaction, with a correlation coefficient of r = -0.803*** and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

00 subjects aged 18-21 years who lived in DKI Jakarta. Data were collected using the Prosocial Behavior Scale (PBS) and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). The data processing involved hypothesis testing through the Pearson correlation test. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between self-compassion and prosocial behavior, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.107 and a p-value of 0.032, which is less than the significance level of 0.05. These findings suggest that higher levels of self-compassion are associated with greater prosocial behavior in late adolescents in this region. This research highlights the importance of fostering self-compassion as a potential means to enhance prosocial behavior among adolescents. Given the cultural context of DKI Jakarta, where communal values and social harmony are emphasized, self-compassion may play a crucial role in promoting positive social interactions and behaviors. Future studies could further explore the underlying mechanisms of this relationship and consider interventions to cultivate self-compassion in adolescents to support their social development and well-being.

dren, including children with disabilities, are considered as a mandate given by Allah SWT to parents. Therefore, parents have a great responsibility in caring for, protecting and guiding their children comprehensively, including physical, mental and spiritual aspects. The focus of research in writing this thesis is the responsibility of parents towards children with special needs. The purpose of the study is to analyze and understand the perspective of Islamic law on parental responsibility towards children with disabilities comprehensively in Kisaran Barat District, Asahan Regency. This method uses a qualitative research method which is a process of various steps involving researchers, theoretical and interpretative paradigms, research strategies, data collection methods and empirical data analysis as well as the development of interpretations and presentation of research results. Children with disabilities have physical limitations, hearing limitations, vision limitations, intellectual limitations, emotional behavioral limitations and communication limitations. Islamic law teaches that parents must provide affection and fair treatment without discriminating between children with special needs and children without, and requires parents to seek education and life skills that will enable children with disabilities to participate well in society. In an effort to meet their needs, Islam also allows parents to seek professional help, such as therapy or health services, to support their child's development.
Abstract:Character education is a fundamental aspect of shaping individuals with noble character. In Islam, the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ contain numerous character values that serve as life guidelines, such as honesty, trustworthiness,…
stworthiness, patience, justice, and compassion. This article aims to examine the hadiths related to character education using thematic and contextual approaches. Employing a literature study method, this research collects, categorizes, and analyzes hadiths concerning noble character, then correlates them with the current socio-cultural context. The findings indicate that the values in hadiths are not only relevant for forming Muslim personalities during the Prophet’s time but are also highly applicable in addressing moral challenges in the modern era. The thematic approach aids in systematically summarizing moral messages, while the contextual approach enriches understanding of the original spirit of the teachings. This study recommends integrating hadith-based character values into education as part of an effort to build a generation with strong ethics and integrity.
Abstract:Bullying is a deviant behavior that has serious impacts on the mental and social well-being of its victims, particularly within educational environments. From an Islamic perspective, acts of harming others—whether physically,…
ically, verbally, or psychologically—are in direct contradiction to the values taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This study aims to examine the perspective of hadith on bullying behavior and its relevance in shaping students’ character and social ethics. This research employs a library research method, with data obtained from primary hadith sources such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and other supporting literature. The findings indicate that bullying is strongly prohibited in hadith, as it contradicts the principles of Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), the prohibition of harming others, and the obligation to uphold the dignity of fellow Muslims. The Prophet’s traditions guide Muslims to guard their speech and actions, avoid mockery, and build social relationships based on compassion and mutual respect. Therefore, the internalization of hadith values can serve as a fundamental basis for bullying prevention in educational settings.
Abstract:Psalm 15:1-5 presents an ethical framework that integrates ritual piety and social responsibility as an authentic expression of faith before God. This study is motivated by the need to formulate a comprehensive model of…
Christian ethics that emphasizes not only personal morality but also social commitment within the context of practical theology. The central issue examined is how the ethical principles contained in Psalm 15 can be theologically interpreted and operationalized for ecclesial life and social praxis. Employing a qualitative theological method with an exegetical approach to the Hebrew text, this study interprets the ethical structure of Psalm 15 from a theological–moral perspective. The findings reveal three fundamental ethical axes: first, personal integrity, which affirms moral wholeness and a life aligned with the will of God; second, relational ethics, which demands the rejection of slander, injustice, and exploitation as a form of responsibility toward others; and third, moral stability, which is rooted in the holiness of God as the foundation for sustaining an ethical life. Based on these findings, the study develops a biblical ethical model that produces Ecclesial Ethics, embodied in the formation of the congregation’s moral habitus through spiritual discipline, and Social Ethics, defined as a commitment to uphold justice, integrity, and compassion in the public sphere. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative formulation that unites ecclesial and social ethics within a single transformative ethical paradigm. The study concludes that Psalm 15 provides a holistic foundation for Christian ethics in practical theology, positioning worship and social service as an inseparable unity of faith praxis.

counseling includes providing emotional and spiritual support to the congregation. In addition to helping the congregation overcome emotional, mental, and spiritual issues, counseling also assists them in discovering their identity, life calling, and potential, so that they can develop holistically in life. Pastoral counseling is a form of interpersonal communication that requires the pastor to have good communication skills. The ability to build strong relationships with the congregation significantly influences their spiritual development. Additionally, empathy and compassion are qualities that pastors must possess to support their interpersonal skills. Diagnostic skills are also crucial for a pastoral counselor. With these skills, the counselor can identify the problems faced by the congregation and provide assistance or refer them for further treatment. Interpersonal skills help build open relationships, while diagnostic abilities are essential in identifying the root causes of the congregation's issues. In the diagnostic process, assessment and interpretation skills are vital to understanding the congregation's problems comprehensively—emotionally, mentally, socially, culturally, and spiritually—so that the solutions provided can be effective and accurate. Pastoral counseling plays a significant role in supporting the growth of faith and overall well-being of the congregation.
