Examining The Effects of Islamic Ethical Values, Environmental Concern, and Social Norm on Green Halal Purchase Intention: The Mediating Role of Consumer Trust

Abduh, Muhammad, Mukti, Titania, Pardiansyah, Elif
Abstract: The convergence between sustainability and halal consumption practices has led to a surge of interest in identifying variables influencing consumer behavior towards purchasing eco-friendly and sustainable halal goods. This… is paper examines the effects of Islamic ethics, environmental consciousness, and social norms on the purchase intention of eco-friendly and sustainable halal products, considering the moderating role of consumer trust. Four hundred and twelve participants among Muslims participated in the study, and their data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The proposed model had good explanatory power as it was able to explain 68.4% and 59.7% of the variances in green halal purchase intention (R² = 0.684) and consumer trust (R² = 0.597), respectively. Results of this study indicate that Islamic ethics (β = 0.31, p < 0.001), environmental consciousness (β = 0.27, p < 0.001), and social norms (β = 0.22, p < 0.01) positively influenced consumer trust. Moreover, consumer trust significantly and positively impacted green halal purchase intention (β = 0.45, p < 0.001). The mediation analyses reveal that consumer trust partly mediates the effect of Islamic ethical values, environment, and social norms on green halal purchase intention. Out of all the antecedents tested, Islamic ethical values have been found to be the most effective determinant of green halal purchase intention. It can thus be concluded that the purchase intention for green halal products increases significantly if the customers perceive these products as being consistent with Islamic moral standards, sustainable for the environment, and approved by society, especially where the issue of consumer trust is involved. This research has contributed significantly to the extant literature by showing how trust acts as an important bridge between the antecedents of green halal purchase intention and the actual intention to purchase.

Construction of Auditor Profession Ethics in The Era of Digital Disruption: a Phenomenological Study of Public Accounting Firm in Surabaya

Sulaiman, Nur Islamiati, Sri Trisnaningsih, Hero Priono
Abstract: This study aims to explore auditors' experiences in digital auditing practices, the meaning of professional ethics, and ethical dilemmas in the context of digital disruption using a phenomenological approach. The study was… as conducted at a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Surabaya, with auditors who had experience in technology-based audits as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using a phenomenological approach supported by NVivo software. The results show that digital auditing practices are still dominated by the use of simple technologies such as Microsoft Excel for data processing, analysis, and audit documentation. Although technology increases efficiency, auditors still do not fully rely on the system and still use professional judgment to maintain the reliability of audit results. Professional ethics is understood as a primary foundation that remains valid, but is reinterpreted in the digital context, particularly related to efficiency pressures and technological risks. Ethical dilemmas arise due to time constraints, incomplete data, and client demands, so auditors tend to prioritize the sufficiency of evidence and prudence in decision-making. Overall, this study concludes that digital disruption does not change the fundamental values of auditors' professional ethics, but rather reconstructs their meaning through work experiences and professional interactions.

Evaluating the Impact of Public Procurement Reforms on Ghana's Economic Development: Analyze the effectiveness of procurement reforms in Ghana and their contribution to economic growth.

Dzreke, Simon, Dzreke, Semefa
Abstract: Public procurement plays a pivotal role in driving economic development, particularly in developing nations like Ghana, where government spending accounts for a substantial 70% of the national budget, significantly impacting… ting GDP. This study critically examines the impact of public procurement reforms, notably the Public Procurement Act of 2003 (Act 663) and its subsequent amendments, on Ghana's economic trajectory. These reforms were strategically implemented to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public resource management. Analysis of key indicators reveals a mixed landscape of outcomes. While the Act has demonstrably improved procurement processes, reduced instances of corruption by a significant 25%, and streamlined public spending efficiency by 15% over the past decade, persistent challenges remain. These include inadequate institutional capacity, inconsistent enforcement of legal frameworks, and limited stakeholder engagement, collectively hindering the full realization of the reforms' transformative potential. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including secondary data analysis and in-depth interviews with government officials, procurement professionals, and civil society representatives, this study provides critical insights. While procurement reforms have made tangible contributions to economic growth evident in an estimated 10% annual savings in government expenditure significant enhancements are imperative in areas such as capacity building, regulatory enforcement, and fostering robust public-private collaboration. The study concludes with a set of actionable recommendations for stakeholders, including the imperative to strengthen institutional frameworks, promote ethical procurement practices, and cultivate inclusive stakeholder engagement. These measures are crucial for maximizing the impact of procurement reforms and ensuring sustainable economic development in Ghana.

Esvanti, Mirza, Nafisah, A’isy Fikli, Winarno, Agung
Abstract: Human relations management is an important aspect of an organization's success, especially in creating a harmonious, productive, and ethical work environment. This study aims to explore the integration of philosophical values… alues in human relations management through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was used in this study to analyze and synthesize various previous studies related to human relations management. The SLR process involves identifying, screening, and evaluating studies from a variety of sources, including international indexed journals, to gain an in-depth understanding of key trends and issues in the implementation of humanitarian relations management. Of the 150 articles found, 52 articles met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. By analyzing the literature from various academic databases, this study identifies key concepts in philosophy, such as humanism, deontological ethics, utilitarianism, and existentialism, that are relevant to support the management of interpersonal relationships in organizations. The results of the study show that the application of philosophical values can improve the quality of relationships between individuals through more ethical decision-making, value-oriented leadership, and strengthening mutual respect in work interactions. In addition, this study reveals a significant gap in the literature related to the practical implementation of philosophy in the context of modern management, especially in certain sectors. These findings make a theoretical contribution in expanding the understanding of the role of philosophy in human relations management as well as offering recommendations for further research and practical applications in organizational environments.

Elisabet Huki, Eka Risti Bani, Elisabeth Kahyoru, Elma Raka, Elsa Na’u, Dhovansius Bolang, Yenri Pelondonu
