Aprilianti, Alya, Pranowo, Agus Setyo, V. Purba, Jan Horas
Abstract: This study examines the role of customer value in mediating the relationship between social media marketing and service quality toward the decision to become a BritAma Prioritas customer at Bank Rakyat Indonesia Sukabumi… Branch. The key issue addressed in this study is the need to understand how digital marketing communication and priority banking service quality can be converted into meaningful value that influences premium customer decisions. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach involving 386 BritAma Prioritas customers as respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that social media marketing and service quality have positive and significant effects on customer value. Social media marketing, service quality, and customer value also positively and significantly influence customer decision. Customer value was found to be the strongest predictor of customer decision and significantly mediated the effects of both social media marketing and service quality. These findings indicate that customer acquisition in priority banking depends not only on promotional activities and service performance, but also on customers’ holistic value evaluation.

Community Economic Empowerment through Waste Bank Initiatives: A Case Study of the Berseri Waste Bank in Bengkalis Regency, Indonesia

Novryan, Tengku Wikel, Firdaus, Muhammad, Yasir
Abstract: The global paradigm shift in waste governance towards a circular economy has driven the adoption of Community-Based Solid Waste Management (CBSWM), widely manifested in Indonesia through the Waste Bank initiative. Although… gh theoretically designed as an ecological mitigation instrument and a catalyst for economic empowerment, previous literature remains dominated by techno-ecological and urban biases. These studies often overlook the structural dynamics of community empowerment in areas lacking established recycling infrastructure. This study aims to fill this gap by investigating the economic empowerment mechanisms and institutional resilience of the Berseri Waste Bank in Bengkalis Regency, a coastal-island area facing logistical disruption constraints. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 10 multi-actor informants (government, managers, customers, and community leaders) selected through purposive and snowball sampling. Data were collected via in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews, with data credibility ensured through source and method triangulation. The results reveal four main findings: (1) increased environmental awareness that reduces open burning practices; (2) increased real household income; (3) the emergence of micro-scale circular logistics practices; and (4) community participation heavily driven by social capital (trust and local leadership). Theoretically, this study extends the application of circular economy theory by proving its viability at the micro-community level in geographically isolated regions. As a practical implication, this study recommends that local governments formally recognize waste banks as legitimate circular economy entities and provide policy interventions in the form of coastal transportation logistics subsidies

Determinants of The Indonesian Composite Stock Index: An Error Correction Model Approach

Febriani, Nindy, Wendy, Wendy
Abstract: This study examines the effects of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), world gold prices, world oil prices, and the rupiah exchange rate on the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) in Indonesia. The study uses monthly… secondary data from January 2015 to December 2025, comprising 132 observations. CSPI data were obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, DJIA, gold price, and oil price data were obtained from Investing.com, while exchange rate data were sourced from Bank Indonesia. The analysis employed the two-step Engle-Granger Error Correction Model (EG-ECM) to identify long-run relationships and short-run adjustment dynamics. The long-run results show that gold prices, world oil prices, and the DJIA have positive and significant effects on the CSPI, whereas the rupiah exchange rate has a negative but insignificant effect. In the short run, the exchange rate has a negative and significant effect on the CSPI, while gold prices, oil prices, and the DJIA have positive and significant effects. The Error Correction Term coefficient of -0.1325 is negative and significant, indicating that approximately 13.25% of short-run disequilibrium is corrected each month toward long-run equilibrium. These findings imply that investors and policymakers should closely monitor global market conditions, commodity price movements, and exchange rate volatility to support investment decisions and maintain Indonesian capital market stability

The Research Evolution of Financial Performance, Customer Trust, and Customer Loyalty in Sharia Banking Sector: a Bibliometric Analysis

Wijaya, Bachtiar, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Churiyah, Madziatul
Abstract: The transformation of the Islamic banking industry requires the integration of financial performance, customer trust, and customer loyalty as the foundation for institutional sustainability. This study aims to map the intellectual… tellectual evolution of this field of study and identify dominant themes, development trends, and opportunities for research gaps in the international literature. The method employed is a bibliometric analysis based on a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA procedure on Scopus articles from 2018 to 2025. From a selection process of 2,009 documents, the study identified 37 articles meeting the inclusion criteria, which were then analyzed using co-authorship, co-occurrence, network, overlay, and density visualizations. The results indicate that the themes of customer loyalty, service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer trust form the core of the intellectual structure with the highest connectivity, while the themes of financial performance, digital trust, banking mergers, and Sharia banking mergers remain in low-density areas, signaling opportunities for research development. The novelty map also reveals a shift in focus from traditional loyalty models toward digital banking, customer experience, and e-CRM. The novelty of this study lies in its proposal of a new research agenda model that integrates financial performance–customer trust–customer loyalty within the context of digital transformation and the consolidation of Sharia banks. Thus, it is hoped that this study can provide a conceptual foundation for future cross-national empirical research

Determinants of Net Interest Margin in Indonesian Conventional Banks: Evidence from 2020–2024

Zannah, Cindy, Parlina, Nurhana Dhea
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) on Net Interest Margin (NIM) in conventional banks listed on the Indonesia… ia Stock Exchange during the 2020-2024 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling and consisted of 11 conventional banks, resulting in 55 firm-year observations. The data were obtained from annual financial reports, official publications, and relevant banking sources. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 25, while the Cochrane-Orcutt method was applied to correct positive autocorrelation in the final model. The results show that CAR has a positive and significant effect on NIM, while NPL and BOPO have negative but insignificant effects on NIM. Simultaneously, CAR, NPL, and BOPO have a significant effect on NIM. The adjusted R-square value of 0.099 indicates that the independent variables explain 9.9% of the variation in NIM. These findings imply that capital adequacy remains an important internal factor in maintaining net interest margins, while credit risk control and operational efficiency should continue to be improved.

Internal and External Banking Determinants on Conventional Banking Profitability in Indonesia

Sabreena, Alisa Fatin, Soelistyo, Aris, Anindyntha, Firdha Aksari
Abstract: This research aims to analyze the influence of internal and external bank factors which include Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Non-Performing Loans (NPL), interest rates, inflation and economic… c growth on Return on Assets (ROA) in conventional banking in Indonesia. This research uses quantitative methods with a causality approach. The data used is secondary data obtained from bank financial reports and official publications related to the research period. The analysis technique used is panel data regression using model selection tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis tests. The research results show that all independent variables simultaneously influence ROA. Partially, NPL has a significant negative effect on ROA, while other variables such as CAR, LDR, interest rates, inflation and economic growth show varying effects on bank profitability. This research concludes that credit risk is the dominant factor influencing banking financial performance.

Mapping The Intellectual Structure of Service Quality and Customer Loyalty Research: A Global Bibliometric Study in The Banking Industry

Febriyani, Yanik, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Churiyah, Madziatul
Abstract: This study aims to map the intellectual structure and global research trends regarding service quality and customer loyalty in the banking industry through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis.… Research data were obtained from the Scopus database covering the period from 2018 to 2025 using the keywords service quality, customer loyalty, and banking industry. The literature selection process was conducted using the PRISMA protocol, resulting in 33 scientific articles that met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. Bibliometric analysis was performed using VOSviewer software to map author collaboration networks, keyword relationships, and the evolution of research themes. The research findings indicate that the concepts of service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty are core themes dominating the research literature in the banking sector. Additionally, the study highlights the emergence of new themes related to customer experience, digital services, corporate social responsibility, and customer relationship management, which enrich the understanding of customer loyalty formation. Bibliometric visualizations also indicate that research collaboration remains relatively limited and scattered across several small groups of authors, despite the research having been reviewed on a global scale. These findings confirm that research on service quality and customer loyalty in the banking industry continues to evolve toward a more multidimensional approach in tandem with the ongoing digital transformation of services.
