tory of thrifting, from the medieval period to the emergence of organizations such as Salvation Army and Goodwill that popularized it in the 19th century. The COVID-19 pandemic has reignited interest in thrifting due to economic pressures prompting people to save on expenses. The research methodology employed is qualitative descriptive, utilizing in-depth interviews and direct observations at Pasar Loak Jembatan Item Jatinegara. The findings reveal that traders employ two main strategies: selling directly at the market and through online platforms. Meanwhile, consumers have diverse motivations, ranging from meeting household needs to a desire to collect unique and antique items. Analysis of Alfred Schutz’s phenomenological theory is used to understand the reasons and goals behind consumer’s choices in thrifting. The researcher finds that each individual has different motives, such as goal motives (In order to motive) and because motives (Because motive), underlying their decisions to engage in thrifting. The conclusion of this research is that the phenomenon of thrifting at Pasar Loak Jembatan Item Jatinegara reflects the evolving and relevant dynamics of consumer culture, adapting to social and economic changes. With the evolution of this practice, the second-hand market becomes a favorite place for people to find affordable items, while traders and consumers continue to adapt to technological advancements and changes in the economic landscape. This study provides valuable insights into how thrifting is not just an economic phenomenon but also reflects the identity and preferences of consumers in a constantly changing shopping culture.

In the current era of globalization, the wetonan tradition is faced with various challenges that threaten its survival. Changes in people’s attitudes and mindsets, urbanization, and doubts about traditional values are some of the main challenges. Shifting values and priorities in society, changes in value and belief systems, and doubts about the role of tradition in the era of globalization are some of the main challenges. However, preserving the wetonan tradition is crucial to maintaining a rich and diverse cultural identity and strengthening the solidarity of Javanese indigenous communities. To maintain and face the challenges of the wetonan tradition remaining relevant and valued by the community, concrete steps are needed. In facing this challenge, it is important to continue to educate the public about the cultural and spiritual values contained in the wetonan tradition, as well as to replant these values to strengthen the sustainability of the wetonan tradition amid the ongoing flow of modernization and globalization. This research aims to provide an understanding of the importance of registering Intellectual Property Rights for creative industry to ensure the law protection of the intellectual property that has been created. The research results show that every creative industry player needs to register copyrighted works with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. Apart from that, synergy is needed between the Government and the public in increasing awareness of creators or creative industry players to register copyrighted works as Intellectual Property Rights through regulations and facilities provided by the authorized government institution, namely the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Rights. To address this issue, the program involved renovating the Literacy Corner, adding relevant educational materials, and conducting various educational activities. These activities included reading sessions, discussions, and workshops focused on maritime culture, as well as involving maritime experts and local leaders to provide in-depth insights. Program evaluation showed a significant increase in maritime cultural knowledge among participants, particularly among the younger generation. Pre- and post-program surveys indicated substantial improvement in understanding maritime traditions, such as boat-making and fishing techniques. The optimized Literacy Corner has become a more active hub, with increased visitation from the community. Support from the village government, local schools, non-governmental organizations, and the local community was crucial to the program's success. This program demonstrates that a participatory and collaborative approach in developing literacy centers can effectively enhance cultural knowledge and engage the community in preserving local heritage. Because of this, kids may stop participating in extracurricular activities and never discover their true passions. Hence, it is necessary to have a decision-support system that can appropriately suggest extracurricular activities to kids according to their abilities. The purpose of this study is to develop and construct a recommendation system that makes use of the MCDM technique, more especially the ELCTRE method, which stands for the Elimination and Choice Translation Reality. By applying predefined criteria to a set of alternatives, this approach can choose the optimal one. The goal of this approach is to help students reach their full potential by recommending extracurricular activities that are both relevant and accurate.

Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan salah satu bidang yang merasakan dampak dari pertumbuhan eksponensial dalam daya komputasi. Pemrosesan data dan pengambilan keputusan semakin bergantung pada penggunaan sistem teknologi informasi. Memilih kegiatan ekstrakurikuler secara manual di SMA Swasta Panti Budaya menyebabkan anak-anak kehilangan minat pada apa yang mereka sukai dan apa yang mereka kuasai. Karena hal ini, anak-anak mungkin berhenti berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan tidak pernah menemukan gairah sejati mereka. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat secara tepat menyarankan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepada anak-anak sesuai dengan kemampuan mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan membangun sistem rekomendasi yang memanfaatkan teknik MCDM, khususnya metode ELCTRE, yang merupakan singkatan dari Elimination and Choice Translation Reality. Dengan menerapkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya pada serangkaian alternatif, pendekatan ini dapat memilih yang optimal. Tujuan dari pendekatan ini adalah untuk membantu siswa mencapai potensi penuh mereka dengan merekomendasikan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang relevan dan akurat.

tem, which can lead to subjective assessments and the risk of fraud. This research aims to develop a predictive system for the quality of Fresh Fruit Bunches. Data collection was conducted using quantitative methods through direct observation and interviews with relevant parties. The study shows that the use of the K-Nearest Neighbor method provides the best accuracy with a more efficient calculation process. With this system, the company’s performance in making decisions regarding FFB quality is expected to improve. The system helps reduce human errors in quality assessments and offers visualizations that make it easier for users to understand the classification of production quality. Although the results are reliable, there is still room for further development, such as improving accuracy through more advanced data preprocessing techniques or using more complex machine learning models.

Abstrak: PT. Padasa Enam Utama, sebuah perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit, saat ini menilai kualitas produksi Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) berdasarkan aspek fisik saja. Mereka menggunakan Microsoft Excel tanpa sistem aplikasi khusus, yang dapat menyebabkan penilaian tidak objektif dan risiko kecurangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem prediksi mutu kualitas Tandan Buah Segar. Dalam pengumpulan data, digunakan metode kuantitatif melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara dengan pihak terkait. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode K-Nearest Neighbor memberikan akurasi terbaik dengan proses perhitungan yang lebih efisien. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan kinerja perusahaan dalam membuat keputusan terkait mutu produksi TBS dapat meningkat. Sistem ini membantu mengurangi kesalahan manusia dalam penilaian mutu TBS dan memberikan visualisasi yang memudahkan pengguna memahami klasifikasi mutu produksi. Meskipun telah memberikan hasil yang dapat diandalkan, masih ada ruang untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut, seperti peningkatan akurasi melalui teknik preprocessing data yang lebih canggih atau penggunaan model-machine learning yang lebih kompleks.
