THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SUBSIDIZED FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTION ON RICE PRODUCTIVITY IN TIDAL SWAMP LANDS

Abstract: The agriculture sector plays a strategic role in the national economy and is highly dependent on fertilizer availability on support crop productivity.  This study aimed to analyze the effectivenss of subsidized fertilizer… er distribution and its impact on rice productivity in the tidal lowland areas of Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency.  The research employed both quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches using a stratified random sampling method involving 60 farmers who received subsidized fertilizer and 30 farmers who did not reveive subsidizer fertilizer. The effectiveness of subsidizer fertilizer distribution was evaluated using a likert scale based on the Six Appropriateness Principles, while the impct on rice productivity was analyzed by comparing the productivity levels of the two farmer groups. The findings showed that the distribution of subsidized fertilizer was generally categorized as moderately effective, with an average effectiveness score of 71,33%.  The price compliance indicator was classified as highly effective (91,66%), while location suitability was categorized as effective (81,00%).  Meanwhile, quantity appropriateness, fertilizer type suitability, and timeliness of distribution were categorized as moderately effective. The findings showed that the distribution of subsidized fertilizer was generally categorized as moderately effective, with an average effectiveness score of 71.33%. The price compliance indicator was classified as highly effective (91.66%), while location suitability was categorized as effective (81.00%). Meanwhile, quantity appropriateness, fertilizer type suitability, and timeliness of distribution were categorized as moderately effective.  In contrast, the fertilizer quality suitability indicator was still considered ineffective, with an effectiveness score of 55%.  The use or subsidized fertilizer also contributed positively to rice productivity.  Farmers receiving subsidized fertilizer achieved an average rice productivity of 3.77 ton ha⁻¹,  whereas farmers who did non receive subsidized fertilizer produced an average productivity of 3.20 ton ha⁻¹.  This resulted in a productivity defference of 0.57 ha⁻¹..  equivalent to approximately 17.81%.

THE EFFECT OF PRICE AND PRODUCT QUALITY ON FERTILIZER PURCHASES AT AM JAYA TANI (Solokan Jeruk District, Bandung Regency)

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of price and product quality on fertilizer purchases at Am Jaya Tani Store in Rancakasumba Village, Solokan Jeruk District, Bandung Regency. This research is motivated by a decline in… n the number of visitors and fertilizer purchases, which is presumed to be influenced by consumers’ perceptions of price and product quality. The research method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to consumers of Am Jaya Tani Store, with sampling determined based on specific criteria. The data analysis techniques include validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing using partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) methods. The results indicate that descriptively, price, product quality, and fertilizer purchases are in the fairly good to good category. Partially, price has a significant effect on fertilizer purchases, and product quality also has a significant effect on fertilizer purchases. Simultaneously, price and product quality have a significant effect on fertilizer purchases at Am Jaya Tani Store. The findings of this study are expected to provide practical insights for the management of Am Jaya Tani Store in formulating pricing strategies and improving product quality to increase fertilizer purchases and enhance business competitiveness.

RECLAMATION OF FORMER COAL MINING LAND AT THE NORTHERN PIT OF CV. SEMOGA SURYA SENTOSA, SELUANG RIVER, SAMBOJA, EAST KALIMANTAN

Abstract: The rehabilitation of post-mining land with low nutrient content is carried out using chemical and organic materials. To improve soil fertility, the application of fertilizers is required. Soil fertility is crucial as a… medium for plant growth to enable replanting. Once the planting medium is available, it is then cultivated with plants suitable for the land conditions. The methodology of this study involved observing land conditions by examining soil structure, texture, and pH in the research area. The results showed that the soil texture belongs to the sandy clay loam or clay loam class, with a soil pH of 3.72. Soil improvement was carried out by applying dolomite lime at 100 grams per planting hole, requiring a total of 66.7 kilograms. Goat manure was applied at 2 kilograms per planting hole, with a total requirement of 133.4 kilograms for 667 trees. The tree species planted were Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) and Trembesi (Samanea saman).

REHABILITATION OF FORMER MINING LAND AT PT RAJA KUTAI MAKMUR, BADAK BARU VILLAGE, MUARA BADAK DISTRICT, KUTAI KARTANEGARA REGENCY

Abstract: Post-mining land generally exhibits low nutrient levels, requiring soil enhancement via the use of chemical or organic amendments. The application of fertilizers and lime markedly affects soil conditions and can improve… soil fertility. Soil fertility is essential as a substrate for plant growth to support reforestation or reclamation initiatives. After the planting medium is properly prepared, it can be inhabited with plant species appropriate for the site's conditions. This study's methodology involves assessing land conditions through the analysis of soil characteristics and the measurement of soil pH in the designated area. The study's results indicated that the soil texture in the research region is classified as sandy loam and loamy sand, with an average pH of 4.5. To enhance soil conditions, 100 grams of lime is necessary for each planting hole, totaling 625 trees. Therefore, 62.5 kg of dolomite lime per hectare is required for soil rehabilitation in the post-mining region.  

Efektifitas Gabungan Kelompok Tani (GAPOKTAN) dalam Upaya Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Tani Kampung Jaya Makmur Distrik Kurik

Abstract: This study aims to identify the effectiveness of farmer group associations (Gabungan Kelompok Tani) in empowering the farming community in Kampung Jaya Makmur, Kurik District. The research employs a descriptive qualitative… ve approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study analyzes organizational effectiveness based on four indicators: Human Relations (focusing on organizational involvement), Open System Model (adaptation and innovation), Internal Process Model, and Rational Goal Model (productivity and goal achievement). The results show that in Kampung Jaya Makmur, the head of the farmer group association has never conducted socialization or training for farmer groups on how to produce or provide natural fertilizers using locally available materials, despite the uncertainty of continuous fertilizer supply. The effectiveness of farmer group associations in empowering the community is highly needed to support farmers in becoming more independent. Farmer group associations can provide services such as access to technological information and capital, as well as establish partnerships with external parties. This study recommends that farmer group associations strengthen participation and member involvement through more regular deliberation forums and active engagement of all levels of farmers. It also emphasizes the need to enhance the use of technology and alternative agricultural methods, such as organic fertilizers, and to expand training and mentoring programs so that farmers can reduce their dependence on chemical fertilizers. Community-Based Livestock Management: A Participatory Approach to Waste and Product Optimization in Karang Tunggal, Kutai Kartanegara

Abstract: Karang Tunggal Village, located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, has excellent potential in the livestock sector, especially in producing livestock products such as meat and milk. However, managing livestock products and waste… ste still faces various obstacles, including a lack of awareness among farmers regarding efficient and sustainable management practices. This research aims to analyze the application of a participatory approach in education on managing livestock products and waste by directly involving the livestock community. This approach allows farmers to actively participate in every process stage, from problem identification to implementing solutions based on local needs. The data in this research was obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and focus group discussions (FGD) involving local breeders and related stakeholders. The research results show increased quality of livestock products, especially regarding cleanliness, food safety, and selling value. Apart from that, there has been a waste reduction that was previously simply thrown away, with innovations in using waste as organic fertilizer and additional feed for livestock. The adoption of more sustainable livestock practices is also starting to be implemented by livestock farmers, improving their economic welfare. Furthermore, this program opens up opportunities for developing value-added processed products, such as pasteurized milk and processed meat, which can increase farmers’ income. Collaboration between farmers in managing joint businesses is also growing, creating a more solid livestock ecosystem. Apart from the economic impact, this participatory approach also increases farmers’ awareness of the importance of sustainability and better environmental management, which contributes to the sustainability of the livestock sector in Karang Tunggal Village.

Implementasi Metode EOQ Untuk Persediaan Pupuk Organik Pada Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) Menranti

Abstract: Abstract: Organic fertilizers are fertilizers consisting of living things, some of which come from the weathering of plant, animal and human remains. Organic fertilizers can be in solid or liquid form. At the Meranti Village… lage Unit Cooperative (KUD) which is the place of business for selling organic fertilizer in Meranti District, Asahan Regency. In the absence of a system that regulates the problem of supplying organic fertilizers, there are still many shortcomings in providing information on organic fertilizers. For organic fertilizer inventory data, it still uses a manual recording system. Therefore, in overcoming this inventory problem, a strategy and system implementation using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method is used. EOQ is a calculation in inventory management that aims to determine the most economical number of orders by minimizing the cost of ordering goods and the cost of storing goods. EOQ is also supported by the ROP (Reorder Point) method. In this ROP method, we can calculate when the company places an order for goods again. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for the KUD to be more effective and efficient in recording organic fertilizer supplies and minimize the error rate manually when registering.   Keywords: Organic Fertilizer Inventory; EOQ Method; PHP and MYSQL.     Abstrak: Pupuk organik adalah pupuk yang terdiri dari makhluk hidup yang sebagian berasal dari pelapukan sisa-sisa tumbuhan, hewan dan manusia. Pupuk organik dapat berbentuk padat atau cair. Pada Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) Meranti yang menjadi tempat usaha penjualan pupuk organik di Kecamatan Meranti Kabupaten Asahan. Dengan belum adanya sistem yang mengatur masalah persediaan pupuk organik, maka masih banyak kekurangan dalam penyediaan informasi pupuk organik. Untuk data persediaan pupuk organik masih menggunakan sistem pencatatan manual saja. Oleh karena itu, dalam mengatasi masalah persediaan ini digunakan strategi dan penerapan sistem menggunakan Metode EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). EOQ merupakan perhitungan dalam manajemen persediaan yang bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan yang paling ekonomis dengan meminimalkan biaya pemesanan barang dan biaya penyimpanan barang. EOQ juga didukung dengan metode ROP (Reorder Point). Dalam metode ROP ini, kita dapat menghitung kapan perusahaan melakukan pemesanan barang kembali. Tujuannya penelitian ini agar mempermudah pihak KUD untuk lebih efektif dan efisien dalam mendata persediaan pupuk organik serta meminimalisir tingkat kekeliruan secara manual saat mendata.   Kata Kunci: Persediaan Pupuk Organik; Metode EOQ; PHP dan MYSQL.

Forecasting Kuantitas Penjualan Herbisida dengan Metode SES pada UD.Central Tani

UD.Central… UD.Central Tani not only sells pesticides but also sells fertilizers, fish food, corn seeds and others. For its own stock, UD.Central only supplies fertilizers and herbicides based on estimates, so there are often shortages and oversupply. Therefore, to determine the sales target to be achieved by paying attention to sales conditions in the past. Sales information is needed so that it can help forecasting the sale of herbicides so that the stock of herbicides in the business can be well controlled. Therefore we need a system that can help predict herbicide sales from time to time. So with the resulting forecasting results, it is expected to help sales in accordance with existing conditions. UD.Central Tani tidak hanya menjual pestisida tetapi juga menjual pupuk, makanan ikan, bibit jagung dan lainnya. Untuk stoknya sendiri UD.Central hanya menyetok pupuk dan herbisida berdasarkan perkiraan saja sehingga sering terjadi kekurangan dan kelebihan pasokan. Maka dari itu untuk menentukan target penjualan yang ingin dicapai dengan cara memperhatikan kondisi penjualan di masa lalu. Informasi penjualan sangat dibutuhkan agar dapat membantu peramalan dalam penjualan herbisida supaya stok herbisida pada usaha tersebut bisa terkontrol dengan baik. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan sistem yang dapat membantu meramalkan penjualan herbisida dari waktu ke waktu. Sehingga dengan hasil peramalan yang dihasilkan, diharapkan bisa membantu penjualan sesuai dengan kondisi yang ada. Revitalisasi Pertanian Berkelanjutan Melalui Jagung Komposit Dan Pengolahan Sampah Organik di Nagari Simpang Pasaman

Abstract: Abstract: Nagari Simpang, Pasaman Regency, is an agrarian area where maize is the main commodity, cultivated using conventional practices that rely heavily on hybrid seeds and inorganic fertilizers. In the long term, this… s pattern leads to increased production costs, declining soil fertility, and low added value of agricultural products. In addition, suboptimal household waste management contributes to environmental pollution. This community service program aimed to revitalize a sustainable maize farming system through the integration of composite maize seeds and organic waste processing technology. The program was conducted from July to November 2025, involving approximately 30 farmers. The methods included an initial survey, program socialization, training on organic fertilizer production, establishment of a composite maize demonstration plot, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of composite maize seeds and improved skills in producing organic fertilizer. Higher post-test scores (3-4,2) compared to pre-test (1-2) indicate the effectiveness of the training and mentoring approaches. Additionally, there was an increase in community awareness regarding the utilization of organic waste. This program contributed to enhancing farmers’ capacity and independence and serves as an initial step toward developing a sustainable agriculture system based on local resources. Pola ini dalam jangka panjang menyebabkan peningkatan biaya produksi, penurunan kesuburan tanah, serta rendahnya nilai tambah hasil pertanian. Selain itu, pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga yang belum optimal berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan merevitalisasi sistem pertanian jagung berkelanjutan melalui integrasi benih jagung komposit dan teknologi pengolahan sampah organik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama Juli–November 2025 dengan melibatkan ±30 petani. Metode meliputi survei awal, sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik, pembuatan demplot jagung komposit, serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mitra terkait benih jagung komposit serta peningkatan keterampilan dalam memproduksi pupuk organik. Skor post-test yang lebih tinggi (3-4,2) dibandingkan pre-test (1-2) menunjukkan efektivitas metode pelatihan dan pendampingan. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan sampah organik. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kapasitas dan kemandirian petani serta menjadi langkah awal pengembangan sistem pertanian berkelanjutan berbasis sumber daya lokal. Pelatihan Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair Berbahan Sampah Makanan Rumah Tangga di Desa Waru

Abstract: Abstract: Household food waste remains a major environmental challenge due to its high volume and potential to cause pollution when not properly managed. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge,… e, attitudes, and skills in converting household food waste into liquid organic fertilizer. The activity was conducted on 11 October 2025 in Waru Village, Parung District, Bogor Regency, involving 50 participants from the Women Farmers Group, youth organizations, housewives, and local residents. The program included an initial survey, socialization, practical training, mentoring, and evaluation through observation, interviews, pre-tests, post-tests, and documentation. The results showed improvements in all evaluated aspects. The average knowledge score increased from 3.33 to 4.33, the attitude score from 3.70 to 4.57, and the skills score from 3.23 to 4.23. These findings indicate that socialization, interactive discussion, hands-on practice, and mentoring were effective in strengthening community capacity to process household organic waste into useful products and to support sustainable waste reduction. Keywords: community service; food waste; liquid organic fertilizer, waru village   Abstrak: Permasalahan sampah makanan rumah tangga menjadi tantangan penting dalam pengelolaan lingkungan karena volumenya tinggi dan berpotensi menimbulkan pencemaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan sampah makanan rumah tangga menjadi pupuk organik cair (POC). Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 11 Oktober 2025 di Desa Waru, Kecamatan Parung, Kabupaten Bogor, dengan melibatkan 50 peserta dari Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT), Karang Taruna, ibu rumah tangga, dan warga sekitar. Metode kegiatan meliputi survei awal, sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik, pendampingan, serta evaluasi melalui observasi, wawancara, pre-test, post-test, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pada seluruh aspek evaluasi. Rata-rata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 3,33 menjadi 4,33, sikap dari 3,70 menjadi 4,57, dan keterampilan dari 3,23 menjadi 4,23. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi, diskusi interaktif, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan efektif meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah organik rumah tangga menjadi produk yang bermanfaat serta mendukung pengurangan sampah secara berkelanjutan.
