IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDED INQUIRY INTERACTIVE REINFORCEMENT TO IMPROVE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ SCIENTIFIC LITERACY

Abstract: The low level of students’ scientific literacy indicates the need for learning approaches that can train scientific thinking process through inquiry activities. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Guided Inquiry&#8230; quiry Interactive Reinforcement learning with Guided Inquiry learning without Interactive Reinforcement on the topic of global warming in improving junior high school students’ scientific literacy. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design conducted at a public junior high school in Sidoarjo Regency. This research subjects were students of class IX F as the experimental class and class IX B as the control class. Data were collected through scientific literacy test instrument, learning implementation observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The test data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test, effect size calculation, and N-Gain, while the data from the observation of learning implementation and student response questionnaires were analyzed descriptively using quantitative methods. The results showed that there was a significant difference in scientific literacy between the experimental class and the control class with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of <0,001. The effect size calculation obtained a value of , categorized as a large effect, indicating a very strong influence. The improvement in scientific literacy in the experimental class was higher with an average N-Gain of 0,927 (high category) compared to the control class with 0,783 (high category). The level of scientific literacy also increased from level 2 in the pretest to level 6 in the experimental class and level 5 in the control class in the posttest. These results were supported by the implementation of learning in both classes, which was categorized as very good, and student responses that showed very good criteria with a higher percentage in the experimental class. Based on these findings, the Guided Inquiry Interactive Reinforcement learning model is proven to be more effective in improving junior high school students’ scientific literacy. This learning model is recommended to be applied to science topics that have contextual characteristics in order to enhance students’ scientific literacy.

DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHING MATERIALS AQIDAH AKHLAK ELEMENT BASED ON RELIGIOUS MODERATION AT SMA NEGERI 1 PANYABUNGAN SELATAN

Abstract: This study aims to develop Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teaching materials in the element of Aqidah and Akhlak based on religious moderation for eleventh-grade high school students. The background of this research lies&#8230; ies in the limited availability of teaching materials that systematically integrate religious moderation values, whereas such values are crucial in shaping students’ character to become faithful, virtuous, and tolerant individuals in a pluralistic society. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), adopting the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the trial involved material experts, media experts, Islamic Education teachers, and grade XI students. The research instruments included validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The collected data were analyzed using both quantitative descriptive and qualitative methods. The results indicate that the developed IRE teaching materials based on religious moderation are highly valid, with an average validity percentage of 89.58%. In terms of practicality, both teachers and students responded positively, categorizing the product as very practical and easy to use in the learning process. Regarding effectiveness, the use of these teaching materials successfully improved students’ learning outcomes, shown by the N-Gain score categorized as moderate, with 100% learning mastery achieved during the field trial. Therefore, this development contributes significantly to providing relevant, innovative, and contextual teaching media. The teaching materials not only facilitate cognitive competency achievement but also instill the values of religious moderation oriented toward strengthening faith, cultivating morality, and fostering tolerance, justice, and balance. This study is expected to serve as an alternative solution for curriculum development in Islamic Religious Education at the secondary level and as a reference for teachers in creating more meaningful learning

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ACCOUNTING EDUCATION TO IMPROVE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Abstract: Improving Financial Literacy and Management Skills of Fisherman Groups Through Practical Accounting Education (Case Study: Seri Village, Ambon City) This community service program (PkM) aims to empower the fisherman groups&#8230; oups in Seri Village, Ambon City, by enhancing their basic financial literacy and management skills using a practical accounting education approach. Weak financial management skills, especially in managing the fluctuating catch yields and income, are often the main obstacle to achieving economic stability and growth in the fisheries sector. The implementation method utilized was participatory and application-based training and mentoring, tailored to the income and expenditure patterns of the fishing community. The program involved a series of workshops that simplified basic accounting concepts, such as transaction recording. The effectiveness of the program was measured by comparing the results of a pre-test and post-test to gauge the increase in knowledge, as well as through observation and questionnaires to assess changes in financial management behavior. The results showed a significant increase in the understanding of financial management concepts among the Seri Village fishermen, evidenced by the improvement in the average post-test scores. Post-training mentoring also demonstrated positive changes in financial management practices, including the ability to set aside savings for boat/gear maintenance and the ability to control daily debt. In conclusion, practical accounting education is an effective and crucial instrument in community empowerment programs, particularly for the fishing sector. This PkM successfully equipped the fishermen with practical tools to make better and more planned financial decisions, directly contributing to the improvement of economic independence and the well-being of the fishing families.

DEVELOPMENT OF A DEEP LEARNING-BASED CHARACTER BULDING AFFIRMATION MODEL IN INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract: This study aims to develop a character building affirmation learning model based on a deep learning approach in the context of Indonesian language learning at the Junior High School (SMP) level. This approach emphasizes&#8230; strengthening conceptual understanding and internalization of character values ​​through reflective, collaborative, and meaningful learning activities. The study used the Design and Development Research (DDR) method with a 4D development model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The research subjects consisted of grade VIII students and Indonesian language teachers at SMP. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, expert validation, and questionnaires to students and teachers. The validation results by three experts—character education, educational technology, and Indonesian language teachers—showed that this model is very valid, with an average score of 90% in the content, construct, and technology aspects. A limited trial conducted on 30 grade VIII students showed that 87% of students felt that this model made it easier for them to understand character values ​​in depth. In addition, teachers considered this model practical, interactive, and able to increase students' active involvement in the learning process. These findings indicate that the affirmation character building model based on deep learning is not only effective in building attitude competencies and understanding of values, but is also relevant to be applied in Indonesian language learning. This model has the potential to be an innovative approach in technology-based character education that supports pedagogical transformation at the junior high school level

ENHANCING ELEMENTARY STUDENTS’ READING LITERACY THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED LEARNING MEDIA

Abstract: This study aims to investigate the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning media to enhance reading literacy among elementary school students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through case study&#8230; y and literature analysis, the research was conducted at SDN No. 100311 Palsabolas, involving teachers and students who utilized adaptive reading applications, text-to-speech tools, and intelligent learning platforms. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and validated by triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that AI-assisted media significantly improve students’ reading motivation, comprehension, and fluency. Quantitative comparison between pretest and posttest results showed notable progress, with the average literacy score increasing by 16–27 points across different indicators. Students demonstrated greater engagement and independence, while teachers benefited from automated performance analytics and personalized feedback tools. However, challenges emerged related to device limitations, technical competence, and overreliance on automated features. The study concludes that AI-based learning media serve not only as technological tools but also as pedagogical instruments that personalize instruction, foster digital literacy, and transform reading classrooms into more adaptive, interactive, and student-centered environments.

DEVELOPMENT OF DEEP LEARNING LEARNING APPROACH IN IMPROVING CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND MASTERY OF LANGUAGE CONCEPTS IN GRADE IV STUDENTS OF SDN 16 BANGKALA

Abstract: This research aims to develop Indonesian learning tools based on the Deep Learning approach  to improve critical thinking skills and mastery of language concepts of elementary school students. The research was carried out&#8230; ut at SDN 16 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency, in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 school year with 25 subjects in grade IV. The development model used is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The validation results of three experts showed that the teaching modules developed were classified as very valid with an average feasibility level of 89%. The implementation of learning using Deep Learning syntax (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate) shows an increase in student activity and involvement in the learning process. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average value of critical thinking skills increased from 61.2 to 83.6 with an N-Gain of 0.58 (medium-high category), while the mastery of language concepts increased from 63.4 to 86.8 with an N-Gain of 0.63 (high category). The results of the t-test showed p < 0.05 which means that there was a significant increase after the implementation of Deep Learning-based learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the Indonesian teaching module based  on the Deep Learning approach  is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and mastery of language concepts. This approach is able to create learning that is aware, meaningful, and fun, and in line with the principles of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes differentiated and student-centered learning.

DEVELOPMENT OF DISCOVERY LEARNING LEARNING MODEL WITH THINK, TALK, WRITE STRATEGY IN IMPROVING NARRATIVE TEXT WRITING SKILLS OF GRADE V STUDENTS AT UPT SDN 16 BANGKALA, JENEPONTO REGENCY

Abstract: This research aims to develop a Discovery Learning learning model with the Think, Talk, Write (TTW) strategy to improve the application of narrative text writing learning in grade V students at UPT SDN 16 Bangkala, Jeneponto&#8230; onto Regency. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting a 4D development model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research instruments consisted of expert validation sheets, observations, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, and writing ability tests. The results of expert validation showed that the developed learning model was in the very feasible category, with a feasibility score of 92%. The practicality test also showed high results, namely 91% of teachers and 89% of students, which indicates that this learning model is easy to understand, easy to apply, and encourages active involvement of students in the learning process. Descriptively, the results of the pre-test and post-test illustrate a change in students' ability to write narrative texts, from an initial average score of 62.50 to 82.30 after the application of the developed learning model. Thus, this study concludes that the Discovery Learning learning model with the Think, Talk, Write strategy is feasible, practical, and has the potential to support the improvement of the writing skills of elementary school students. This model is recommended to be implemented more widely in Indonesian language learning, especially in narrative writing skills, and can be used as a reference for the development of literacy learning at the elementary education level.

IMPROVING ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL DISTRESS USING THE SPRINGATE SCORE METHOD AT PT PERTAMINA PATRA NIAGA PERIOD 2019–2023

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the financial distress condition of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga during 2019–2023 using the Springate Score (S-Score) model. Financial distress is a critical stage preceding potential bankruptcy, commonly&#8230; commonly detected through declining liquidity, profitability, and operational capability. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach using secondary data sourced from audited financial statements. The Springate model, consisting of four key ratios (working capital to total assets, EBIT to total assets, EBT to current liabilities, and sales to total assets), was applied to evaluate the company’s financial stability. The results show fluctuating financial performance. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga was categorized as financially healthy (safe zone) in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023, but experienced financial distress in 2022 due to severe liquidity pressure and increased short-term liabilities. The overall average S-Score of 0.9453 places the company in the grey area, indicating potential vulnerability to financial instability. The findings highlight the importance of improving liquidity management, strengthening working capital, and increasing operational efficiency to prevent future distress. THE INFLUENCE OF INFOGRAPHIC MEDIA USERS ON LEARNING MOTIVATION AND COMPREHENSION OF NEWS TEXTS OF GRADE VII STUDENTS OF SMP HASANUDDIN GOWA

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of the use of infographic media on the motivation to learn and comprehend news texts of grade VII students of SMP Hasanuddin Gowa. The background of this research departs from the&#8230; he low motivation and ability of students to understand news texts, especially in Indonesian learning which requires students to be able to analyze information critically and systematically. Infographic media was chosen as an alternative because it has attractive visual characteristics, is concise, and is able to present complex information in a more understandable way. The research method used was a pseudo-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that obtained learning using infographic media and the control class that obtained conventional learning. Data collection techniques include learning motivation questionnaires, news text comprehension tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), t-test, and MANOVA test to see the effect simultaneously. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class on the aspect of learning motivation, where the experimental class had a higher average motivation score after the use of infographic media. In addition, students' understanding of news texts in the experimental class also increased significantly compared to the control class. MANOVA's analysis strengthens the finding that infographic media has a simultaneous effect on students' motivation to learn and comprehension of news texts. Thus, this study concludes that infographic media is effectively used as a learning medium in news text materials. Infographics not only increase students' motivation to learn, but also help students understand the content of the news more comprehensively. These findings recommend the use of innovative visual media in Indonesian learning to improve the quality of students' learning processes and outcomes.

IMPLEMENTATION OF DEEP LEARNING IN IMPROVING THE WRITING SKILLS OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXTS FOR GRADE 6 STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLUSTER 1 BANGKALA DISTRICT JENEPONTO REGENCY

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of deep learning in improving the descriptive text writing skills of grade VI students in Group 1, Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency. Deep learning is seen as relevant to&#8230; overcome students' low writing ability which is characterized by a lack of detail, weak text structure, and lack of ability to choose diction. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Class Action Research (PTK) of the Kemmis and McTaggart model which is carried out in one cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, as well as pretest and posttest. The results of the study showed a significant increase in description writing skills after the application of Deep Learning. The average pretest score of 58.40 with 16% completeness increased to 83.20 in the posttest with 88% completeness. An increase in N-gain of 0.62 indicates a moderate–high increase category. In addition to improved grades, students showed positive changes in learning behavior, characterized by increased participation, analytical skills, and quality of reflection on their writing. This study concludes that deep learning is effective in improving descriptive text writing skills while fostering students' critical thinking and metacognitive skills. This model is feasible to be applied as an alternative to Indonesian learning strategies in elementary schools.
