Abstract:Communicative competence has become an essential competency for business education students in response to the growing demands of multilingual, multicultural, and technology-driven workplaces. However, previous studies have…
ave generally examined bilingual competency, collaborative learning, and communicative competence as separate constructs, providing limited understanding of their integrated relationships. This study aimed to develop an Integrated Communicative Competence Model for business education through the synthesis of previous empirical studies and recent international literature. A conceptual research design employing an integrative evidence synthesis approach was used to analyse empirical findings on bilingual competency, pair interaction, communicative competence, and professional readiness. The synthesis demonstrates that bilingual competency provides the linguistic and intercultural foundation for effective communication, while pair interaction functions as a collaborative learning mechanism that strengthens authentic communication practices. The interaction of these dimensions enhances communicative competence, which subsequently improves students' professional readiness and graduate employability in multilingual business environments. The proposed model contributes to communication studies by integrating bilingual competency and collaborative learning into a unified conceptual framework and provides practical guidance for curriculum development and communication-oriented learning in business education.
Abstract:Cigarette smoke exposure is a significant health threat that may trigger lipid metabolism disorders, particularly by increasing serum triglyceride levels through nicotine-stimulated production of Very Low-Density Lipoprotein…
tein (VLDL). This study aimed to analyze the correlation between cigarette smoke exposure levels and serum triglyceride levels in students to identify cardiovascular risks among the productive age group. This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 83 participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Participants' levels of exposure to cigarette smoke were assessed, and their serum triglyceride levels were analyzed using the GPO-PAP enzymatic method. Statistical analysis was performed to determine the significance of the association between smoke exposure levels and serum triglyceride levels. The findings indicate no statistically significant correlation between the level of cigarette smoke exposure and serum triglyceride levels among the study participants (Spearman's rho, p = 0.882). Most participants were classified as having mild cigarette smoke exposure and exhibited serum triglyceride levels within the normal reference range. Furthermore, the relatively homogeneous exposure levels and the young age of the participants may have contributed to the limited variability observed in the study. In conclusion, mild cigarette smoke exposure was not significantly associated with serum triglyceride levels among young adults.
Abstract:Adolescents represent a high-risk group for HIV/AIDS infection due to limited knowledge of transmission mechanisms and appropriate prevention strategies. Health information exposure plays a critical role in shaping adequate…
ate knowledge as the foundation for preventive behavior. This study aims to determine the level of HIV/AIDS prevention knowledge among adolescent students and to analyze its association with health information exposure. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 189 students at Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Pelamonia in 2026, recruited via random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-square test (α = 0.05). A total of 66% of respondents had sufficient knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention; however, 48% had never been exposed to related health information. A significant association was found between health information exposure and knowledge level (p = 0.04; OR = 3.4; 95% CI: [complete]). Health information exposure is significantly associated with HIV/AIDS prevention knowledge among adolescent students. Health education institutions should strengthen structured and sustainable HIV/AIDS education programs to prepare students as future health professionals.
Abstract:The rapid development of financial technology has transformed the way university students conduct daily financial transactions. Digital payment systems offer convenience, speed, and accessibility; however, their use may…
also influence students’ financial management behavior. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital payment usage and financial management behavior among Management students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Makassar (FEB UNM). The study focuses on how the frequency, ease of use, perceived usefulness, and security of digital payment services contribute to students’ ability to manage expenses, control spending, plan budgets, and make financial decisions. This research employs a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to Management students. The data are analyzed to identify the influence of digital payment usage on students’ financial behavior. The findings are expected to provide empirical evidence that digital payment usage can affect students’ financial habits, particularly in terms of spending control, budgeting discipline, and transaction awareness. This study contributes to the literature on digital finance and student financial behavior by highlighting the importance of responsible digital payment adoption. Practically, the results may provide insights for universities, students, and financial service providers in promoting financial literacy and healthier financial management practices in the digital era.
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and parental income on financial management behavior, with self-control as an intervening variable among college students in Malang City. Using a…
quantitative explanatory research approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 160 respondents and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that financial literacy, lifestyle, and parental income had a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior. Furthermore, self-control also significantly influenced financial management behavior. However, self-control only mediated the relationship between parental income and financial management behavior, and was unable to mediate the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle. This indicates that college students' financial management behavior is more directly influenced by financial knowledge, lifestyle, and financial support from parents. This study implies that improving financial literacy and self-control needs to be strengthened to support better financial management.
Abstract:This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of trust, income, and life style on fashion purchase decisions using paylater among Accounting students at UPN “Veteran” East Java. The background of this research is based…
based on the rapid development of financial technology and e-commerce, which has influenced consumer behavior, particularly among university students, including their purchasing decisions for fashion products through paylater services. This phenomenon highlights the importance of understanding the factors that influence consumers’ decisions to use paylater services. This research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The sample consists of 72 respondents selected using a random sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS to test the relationships between variables. The results show that trust, income, and life style have a positive and significant effect on fashion purchase decisions using paylater. These findings are consistent with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which states that consumer behavior is influenced by attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control.
Abstract:The digital transformation in higher education requires universities to provide not only reliable technology-based academic services but also physical facilities that support the student learning experience. This study aims…
ims to analyze the effect of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) e-Service Quality and campus facilities on institutional image, with student satisfaction as an intervening variable. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire from 80 active students of STIMI-YAPMI Makassar selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, path analysis, and the Sobel test to examine the mediating role. The results showed that e-Service Quality and physical facilities had a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction and institutional image. E-Service Quality had the most dominant influence on student satisfaction. Furthermore, student satisfaction was shown to mediate the effect of e-Service Quality on institutional image, but not the effect of physical facilities on institutional image. These results indicate that e-Service Quality shapes institutional image through student experience and satisfaction, while physical facilities act as a reputational symbol that directly influences image. This research provides theoretical contributions in the development of higher education service management models as well as practical implications for higher education managers in formulating strategies for improving service quality and strengthening the institution's image in a sustainable manner.

Abstract:This study is motivated by the rapid development of digital financial services, particularly Shopee PayLater, which has the potential to increase consumerist behaviour among students. This phenomenon requires examination…
not only from economic and psychological perspectives, but also from the perspective of Islamic accounting, which emphasises balance and control over consumption. This study aims to analyse the influence of lifestyle and self-control on the consumer behaviour of Shopee PayLater users and to test the role of Islamic accounting principles as a moderating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to students and analysed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS application version 4.1.1.6. The results indicate that lifestyle has a positive and significant influence on consumer behaviour, whilst self-control does not have a significant influence. Sharia accounting principles have a direct and significant influence on consumptive behaviour, but are unable to moderate the relationship between lifestyle or self-control and consumptive behaviour. These findings suggest that consumer behaviour is influenced more by external factors such as lifestyle and the convenience of digital services than by internal factors within the individual, and indicate that Sharia values have not yet been fully integrated into everyday life.
